Icehouse Ratings and Reviews
Great spot to catch up with a long-time friend. He was impressed by the energy and vibe, we had a big comfy booth in the main room. We came for cocktails and stayed for dinner. The server was friendly knowledgeable and prompt with service. I expected bigger portions for the $28 price tag, but the meal was delicious.
We came to celebrate birthdays and stayed for a great time. The Saturday brunch menu accompanied by great music. The place is wonderful, the staff was very attentive, and the creative drink menu was amazing. The menu was a simple as bacon and eggs and as complex as a ten course tasting menu. I'm already hoping to be back soon.
Great music and great vibe. Went with friends and sat close enough to stage to enjoy the music but far enough to enjoy conversation. Server was right on with recommendations for food. The menu was creative and so creative I was nervous. They pulled off every dish. (The 4 of us shared everything) We will definitely go back.
Reservation wasn't ready on my arrival, but they let me hang out in the live music area while I waiting which normally requires a cover charge so I'll allow it.
They parked us at literally the smallest table in the dining area, which struck me as more humorous than inconvenient.
Wait staff was very attentive even though we indicated we were only having drinks.
I like that they use larger ice cubes so my Jameson didn't get watered down.
Really nice atmosphere, very chill. Music was good too. Would visit again.
Disclaimer: I didn't eat the food, but the menu looked really enticing.
Went to hear the band the was playing over Sunday Brunch. Music great of course. I had "special dietary requests" and they were happy to assist. My wait staff was attentive, and pleasant. Enjoyed the other patrons there for Brunch and for the music. I will be going again, even if it is not a Band I know (yet).
My wife and I had a gift card to Icehouse and amazingly had a kid-free Saturday night, so we planned a date night starting with dinner. The food was very good and the atmosphere was perfect for us to enjoy a nice meal together at a leisurely pace. Icehouse exceeded all our expectations.
Been to Icehouse several times. Service is outstanding with very knowledgeable servers. Food and drinks fun and inventive. With a reservation, we were disappointed to be seated in back area away from the band even though several tables appeared to be available. Reason we go to Icehouse is for the live entertainment. If you go, specify where you want to sit...don’t assume reservations will get you the good seats.
As a wheelchair user, I was very pleased to have been given a table right up by the stage, rather than being relegated to an obscure corner. Restaurants don't always treat 'chair people well, but The Icehouse was accommodating without being obtrusive. I wish, though, the waitress would have told me that the burger would be raw-like in the center - I would have asked for medium grilled meat. A good experience and I would return.
Had only heard wonderful things, and the experience lived up to all of it. Fantastic, food, unique plates, amazing wine/beer/cocktail list. The only thing that would have made it better was the parking situation. But, when you go to a restaurant in this neighborhood, you just accept you'll be parking a minimum of 3 blocks away. Absolutely fantastic and can't wait to go back.
They paid attention to the notes that I left on open table for reservations. They were attentive to our needs and offering us 2 different types of tables, one for by the stage for music or more of a quiet private booth. We enjoyed not only the music but the food and most of all Ashley are server was outstanding.
We came for the music, but during the dinner hour, it was pretty calm background music. If I could have stayed with my teenagers for the evening show, I would like to have seen it. The food was much better than I expected of a restaurant advertising itself as an American food restaurant. It was savory and healthy too!
Good food. A little overpriced. Awkward service with at least 3 people constantly bringing us things (fruit at the beginning, water, coffee, asking questions). Someone always seemed to be at our table, which made us feel rushed. Parking is limited. Didn't excite me enough to plan a return any time soon, but it's cute inside and we all enjoyed our food.
The music was very good, surprised it was so uncrowded on a saturday night. Food was very good but the server was unsure and nervous. No big deal but it's always nice when you've got a pro taking care of you.
Will definitely return if only to enjoy more live music in a very good setting.
My friend and I had the 10 course tasting with paired drinks/wine - it was AMAZING!!! The quality and creativity of the food was spectacular - Matt is truly gifted with the food as is Whitney with the drinks. Thank you for a wonderful evening - will definitely be back!
