Server was awesome, cider was awesome, gluten free Kung Pao cauliflower was awesome. Live band was so awful we had to leave.
Only problem was my reservation made through Open Table was not on Icehouse's list. Luckily I photographed the confirmation so we got our table -- but this happened once before at another restaurant. I don't know what the problem is, but someone somewhere is dropping the ball.
Worst experience ever at Icehouse, and I've been there countless times. Server ignored us mostly, and continued to fly by us while we waited to order every part of our meal. We were actually watching him refill waters at tables who were finished and had their "to go" boxes sitting on the table, while we waiting for him. When he'd arrive table side, his tone was curt and unfriendly. What made this worse, is that we were there to try and "celebrate" my Dad's birthday as he had painfully, recently passed away. And, honestly, we were a 'typical' low-key table of 5 who wanted a simple round of cocktails and dinner; we weren't needy or troublesome or high maintenance. What a disappointing evening all around.
I attended a concert at Icehouse on St. Patrick's Day and it was super fun. The drinks were good and the vibe was great. The noise level is only high when there's a band playing. Parking is tricky during peak hours.
Went to the music brunch and and the experience exceeded expectations.
Always enjoy the food and music at Icehouse, but the service is typically nondescript, a bit slow and sloppy, to the point of nearly forgetting who your server is, as they do so little, if you can even get an order in after 15-30 minutes. Don't expect a decent table with a reservation, not sure how to get a decent table. You go for the music, but have to ask to not be placed in the room without music.
Superb food, great service with live music.
Wonderful food! Smaller portions for the price. But worth every dollar.
A great family brunch , the staff at Icehouse made it a very memorable occasion including a sampling of their cinnamon rolls and baked goods that were Outstanding!
The food was good. However for a restaurant at their price pint charging extra for something like aioli seems a bit out of place. Otherwise the meal was excellent.
Accordo at IceHouse is so great! Your food is so interesting. Price is a bit high. I am now aware that other bands play at IceHouse and I hope to get to you more.
We were there for Accordo. Our second time. The food was great and the venue is perfect for chamber music.
Excellent food- especially loved their charcuterie tray and Norwegian Blueberry Tart, great ambiance and wonderfully accommodating staff! We will be back to our new favorite restaurant soon!!
Great music and great food! We loved it and will go back!
Food was tasty..but being first timers the menu was not adequately explained that the entrees did not come with sides.
Live music was a plus— although we sat in the dining area. The lamb pot pie was nicely spiced, but nothing more than a bit of lamb & mashed potato topping. Would be great to have some veggies too. The drinks were tasty but overpriced. Romaine salad with a mushroom dressing— well done with the flavors.
Best place to eat and see a show in Minneapolis! The service is next level!
The Gumbo, Shrimp and Grits, and Hash where all delicious!
Ichouse MPLS is one of my favorite restaurants in Minneapolis. The food is so so good (get the burger, the bun is amazing), the drinks are delicious (the mothership rita is the best), and their starters are the best. Plus, they are really well priced (1 app, 2 burgers, 3 cocktails for less than $80 with the quality of food, ambiance, and live music is such a great value). So yeah 10/10 would recommend.
Live music in a fun two story space. Fun selection of food items with an artistic presentation. Would come back.
Awesome spot for our Valentine’s Day dinner with our infant daughter in tow. Live music was great and meant that if she had made noise it wouldn’t bother people too much. Food was excellent. Fantastic ambience and setting.
This was my second time to the Chef's Bar at Icehouse. And I enjoyed the first time much more. This time was Valentine's Day and it seemed to be much smaller portions and less overall for the tasting menu, but a higher price. I felt they did that just because they could on Valentine's Day. I was expecting the same experience I had the previous time I had done the tasting courses, but it did not live up to that.
My take away - the Chef's Bar is fun and delicious. I would probably avoid going on a holiday like that again as I felt it was not up to their typical standard!
Great service, food was delicious and music was fun. It has a lively atmosphere. We sat right next to the stage. The background noise level is loud but we could still carry on a conversation.
Love Icehouse—great menu, beautiful cocktail program, and the music and sound design is first rate.
We always love going to Icehouse. The food is always fabulous and we loving listening to music while we eat. And they get extra points for offering a kid's menu!
I loved the live jazz background music. The Kung Pow cauliflower was amazing- highly recommend.
Food was good but we were stuck in the farthest corner from the music...and there was nobody there when we arrived for early 5:30 dinner. Kind of disappointing
Honestly, the food took way too long to come out when the restaurant was very empty and for the cost, the presentation was fine but taste was meh.
We attended an Accordo performance at Icehouse and had an excellent light meal with wine while listening to several of the elite musicians in the Twin Cities. Yes, it was one of those bitter cold, snowy Minnesota evenings. And it was well worth venturing out and traveling across the metro to enjoy this experience! We gave tickets to the next Icehouse/Accordo performance as a Christmas present -- we may need to purchase another set!
Great music that you are close to. Great brunch and drinks. This is our second visit and we will plan more.
I thought Ice House did an amazing job in preparing our food! The atmosphere was great.
Cool atmosphere, good food presentation. A bit pricey for the food portions, cocktails were good but expensive.
Food, drinks and music all fabulous! We had 4 in our group and we all absolutely loves our dishes... have and would highly recommend.
I've been to the Icehouse 4 times for concerts and every time it's been a great experience. Interesting, well prepared food, good service, great venue to see a small group perform.
We had a wonderful time-great servi, food and beautiful music! It was perfect!
Great place, love the atmosphere plus acoustic guitar music on January 27, 2019. Food was excellent and a great price too. Already told people to go.
Let us move into the main room so we could catch the music. Great service.
I keep trying Icehouse and I’m disappointed every time. I had the special which was a Brisket Gumbo. I was so excited as I love brisket. The meat was really dry and the gumbo just marginal. I ate a few bites and then set it aside. The server (who was very nice though) did not check in until the end of the meal. She also didn’t ask about the practically untouched gumbo and took it away without asking if I wanted a box, which made me feel like she had an idea that it wasn’t the best, she just didn’t want to deal with it.
Fantastic place to meet up with friends and hear a little live music. We were there for their Sat brunch and Cornbread Harris was live on stage. Nothing short of a great outing! Will definitely be back for more of there live music/entertainment line-up.
One of my very favorite restaurants in Minneapolis. Gastronomic alchemy happens there.
