Relax with friends or colleagues over tapas for lunch or after work drinks, have night out with friends or a romantic meal for two. We promise to put the authentic Spanish touch, whatever the occasion!
Excellent Sherry tasting event initially followed by equally great tapas in the main restaurant. Apart from the awful weather you could be in Spain!!
Amazing food accompanied with great service and the perfect atmosphere to talk with my wife but not be overheard a gem of a restaurant!
First time we have taken the lunch menu, which proved excellent, and introduced us to 'lazy omlettes' which were delicious. We also found a wine to my wife's taste, very satisfactory.
Usually love Iberica- it is expensive but a treat. Felt the new menu was limited and special tapas excessively priced. One pork dish was £13 and very small. Most disappointing was that the food was tepid and our waiter- think she was a manager, was a bit off hand. I came out feeling I could have eaten more and at £50 per head, a bit miffed!
Whilst the food was good none of it was served hot which for me is a basic requirement.
Didn’t feel the restaurant had a cosy feel about it.
Preferred the Manchester one.
The staff were incredibly friendly. The food was amazing, the location was perfect.
Great meal - the new menu has some very interesting and tasty dishes but this occasion was let down by thete being no draft beer available
Enjoyed Iberica Leeds once again. Service and food excellent. Never rushed and always time to talk with staff about the food and wine !
Unfortunately we didn't have the best experience at this restaurant. We ordered several tapas expecting the cold starters first but a couple of hot tapas were served first. When we queried this we were told cold tapas was served from downstairs and THEY were very busy, okay but had an explanation and quick apology been given we would have been willing to wait. Our hot tapas were removed and obviously kept lukewarm and served again. As soon as a plate was finished it was whisked away making us feel as if we were in a Tapas chain restaurant and being rushed so they could have the table back not that the restaurant was that busy. We then wanted to order more wine and were stood over until my husband had picked out another bottle from the wine list. To be honest he did take an extra long time to select one because he wanted to see if the waiter would take the hint that you really shouldn't stand over a diner whilst they're perusing the wine list, he didn't!
It is quite expensive for Tapas and perhaps they should visit Ambiente to see how tapas should be served all in all quite disappointing.
Beautiful stylish restaurant with great service let down by poor chefs... The food, especially for the price, was mediocre at best and inedible at worse. Soggy fish batter, really tough aubergines, reheated congealed rice, and the squid wasn't good at all. I heard they had a new menu - well the chefs really need to get to grips with cooking basic Spanish food if they want to charge the prices they charged. The manager dealt with our complaint well though and took the dodgy dishes of the bill. The Iberica in London is a completely different level to this one. Really disappointed as it was a special meal out.
This is the third time I have visited this restaurant and unfortunately I was very disappointed. The service was all over the place no consistency of waiters and hard at times to get one. The food was a big let down very average and some of it was cold. But the biggest let down was having told the restaurant in advance that we were celebrating my sons birthday and could they make it special,he didn’t even get a happy birthday, no complimentary drink, in fact a big fat zero. The only thing they they were ok about was that my daughter was running late due to a delayed train. Felt it was massively over priced considering our experience and left me feeling very underwhelmed. Won’t be returning anytime soon.
Excellent ambiance with great food. I love the concept of - serving when it’s ready.
Fantastic food, great atmosphere and lovely service.
Tapas were good but not exceptional. The Paella was very disappointing. There are many better restaurants in Leeds.
The service and food was very poor for the the kind of charges they are making
Slow service and lack of interest from staff. Waited 45 minutes from the original booking time to be seated then a further 20 minutes for drinks. Food is ok but pricey in retrospect. 12.5% discretionary service charge for a table of two isn’t great, especially when the service didn’t justify a tip at all....
Ratings would have been higher but on a busy Saturday early evening we had to wait quite a time before being served our starters and then a longer wait (although that wait time had been explained) for our mains - our of a group of 4 of us ordered various dishes - 2 dishes never turned up but were on our bill - (subsequently removed) - either get more staff, take less bookings or get your staff to check all the food is on the table. My friends had just enough but I was still slightly hungry. All that being said the food we did eat was lovely and the place has an excellent vibe ....
Quite a few things on menu unavailable but what we had was great food
Having been a big fan of Iberica, I was a little disappointed this time round.
The patatas bravas arrived a good ten minutes before anything else and so they were barely still warm and could not really be eaten as a "side " when the other food arrived
The asparagus on toast has always been a favourite but this time there was very little Manchego cheese on the toast which itself tasted as if it was seconds away from being burnt toast.
The burgers were up to the usual standard and the double cooked lamb was nice, even though I don't recall it having been served with cold pickled onions before.
Having looked forward to the black rice, when it arrived, it was difficult to identify anything in it other than rice.
Finally, although there appeared to be plenty of staff around, on the basis that three of them were busily engaged in conversation by the kitchen steps, it took quite a while to attract someone's attention to bring over the bill.
Verdict: On the basis of some excellent times here in the past, I'll give it another go -but if it disappoints again, it's "Adios, Iberica!"
First time at Iberica Leeds. Stunning building, friendly and even service and great food. Definitely worth going if you want a good Tapas.
Took my granddaughter for a birthday meal and it was perfect. Food excellent, service charming and welcome delightful. We will be back!
Visited on Saturday with a friend. Lovely place, great ambience and service. After already selecting out choice we were told a few were unavailable, one being calamari. Very disappointing on a Saturday. Plus should have been told straight away
We ordered 5 dishes, 3/5 were good. We enjoyed the chorizo lollipop, croquettes and the lamp. The mackerel was raw and we didn’t like the sauce at all, we couldn’t eat it. The beetroot salad was pointless and very disappointing of flavour.
Potentially ordered the wrong things but I expected better from good things I’d heard. Would come back but wouldn’t rush
Great restaurant with buzzing atmosphere in a classic setting, very friendly staff, great tapas at a relaxed pace.
Excellent service, good food and drinks, very friendly and polite staff. Overall a great experience. We are going back and would definitely recommend it to friends and family.
We have eaten here before and particularly like the bar area. Once again the bar and drinks were very good and the restaurant has a lovely welcoming atmosphere. The staff were very good - attentive and well informed. However, sadly the food just wasn't that great - really average.
Absolutely amazing as always can not fault it in anyway service was brilliant.
Service is excellent as ever - happy to advise on food. Couldn't believe how quickly it arrived. Iberica is just great, the venue is breathtaking and very classy and it's so worth paying that little bit extra for the quality you receive in every respect in return. 10/10. I'll be back (again!)
As well as a limited menu choice if you don’t like fish, three of the dishes were unavailable. The decor is lovely. The food was not hot but was tasty. Probably won’t go again.
In the competitive tapas scene in Leeds I believe this is the best place for a special night out. The restaurant is beautiful, the service is fantastic, the food is simply incredible (as is the wine), and it's all for a very affordable price. This was my third time here and I will definitely be returning.
The food was incredible, and the restaurant itself is a lovely place to be in. The menu is very traditional spanish food, with plenty of variety. Expensive, but I felt it was worth it with how tasty the food was and how friendly the people were!
Amazing food and service. Only thing to note is they add a service charge and VAT at the end of the bill. Whilst we absolutely loved the food and service and had no issues with the bill, I do feel resteraunts have a responsibility to make their prices clear to their customers. I didn't notice anywhere that prices would be plus VAT
Food was overall beautiful but some of the dishes let down the others - the blue cheese on the half cheese and half meat platter was not to our liking and the pitu chicken was also a bit of a let down especially for the price. The pear and blue cheese salad was amazing as were the croquettes.
All the chairs were dirty and stained and the menus had spills on. Waitresses extremely friendly and helpful. Will go again soon!
Majority of food was lovely and tasty. Slightly small portions for tapas for example on meat and cheese board, but the croquettes were incredible! Expensive for what it is as I think location and interior play a big part. I would go again for the paella.
It was my first time. I went for my birthday meal with a few friends and we were made such a fuss over. Was really lovely experience and such a great venue. Staff are very friendly, polite and educated.
Fantastic dinning room and bar. Good food and great service. Will return.
Service was slow considering how expensive it was (£115 for two!)
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at the restaurant to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The food was excellent and the service was very good. The ambiance was particularly pleasant. We have dined here before and will do so again
The service was fantastic and it was quite quiet, being the first group to arrive on a Saturday lunchtime. The lady looking after us was marvellous. The food was very good. We chose the most Juan Pedro Domecq ham, which was the most expensive on the menu, but it was worth it! The Calamares was excellent - we had two of those. Couldn’t fault the desserts either, but the almond cake wasn’t available, which was only a minor detail as the alternative suggested more than made up for it. The only real downsides were that the prawns were a bit “gritty”, and the lamb dish was not that warm when it arrived.
This was our first time here. We had a lovely evening , the staff were very helpful the restaurant was beautiful, very relaxing atmosphere the food was really nice and it was served to us beautifully and not all at once. Definitely come back here .
The food here was utterly delicious, especially the chorizo lollipops !
