It’s simple really, our calling card is sustainable Scottish seafood.

Our name comes from the Gaelic word for fish. It’s a wee bit tricky to pronounce, but it’s no bother if guests don’t get it quite right. With delicious fresh produce served by our very own Head Chef, Sean Currie, you'll feel the energy in the way we go about things – our warm welcome, enthusiasm for what we do, and, of course, a splash of Glaswegian banter.

Serving sustainable Scottish seafood is at the heart of everything we do. That’s why £1 on every bill goes to The Firth Forth Lobster Hatchery, who hatch, rear and release lobsters to ensure stocks remain plentiful for future generations. Sea more on Instagram: @lobsterhatchery

Poor service, seems to put us off ordering the seafood platter as said it took too long to wait. Then mains were late and forgot our side. Food was good but didn’t really enjoy the experience.

Cannot fault the food at all but it is hugely overpriced. £23 for a very small piece of cod, handful of chips and a teaspoon of mushy peas is so unnecessary. Also the £15 margarita was extreme too. Again food was delicious as was the margarita but the sullen, unhappy looking staff drawing us looks and refusing to give us a jug of tap water for the table made it feel like asking them to top up your water was a huge imposition. Don’t get me wrong a couple staff were very helpful but there were more who seemed very unhappy to be there. Particularly the young lady who stopped my friend from joining us. She was unavoidably a little late and when she arrived she saw us seated, went to walk towards I sand was stopped and questioned regarding her reservation. When she said she didn’t have one but was meeting friends and pointed across the restaurant to us she was asked to call us to confirm she was with our party. now she was 15/20 steps away yet she wasn’t allowed to walk over with the waitress to join our table until I looked up and waved her over. Very unwelcoming. Delicious food unfortunately hugely overpriced coupled with poor service and very unwelcoming staff means we won’t be back

For a five star the restaurant was surprisingly poor in all respects. Very plain and bland decor. The same can be said for the food. Simply shocking for what is presumably a five star hotel.

My fiancé came in here for our anniversary using a gift card from a friend, and I have to say the experience was exceptional. We love the Blythswood in general but this was our first time having a full meal at Iasg. The dinner was delicious, the service friendly and attentive, and the overall setting lovely. The staff kindly gifted us some chocolates and a happy anniversary note, which was such a personal touch! We will be back for certain for our next special night, and I cannot recommend it enough! Thank you to the staff for making it a memorable evening for us.

We visited for a quick birthday lunch before a spa treatment and it was excellent! Great food, beautiful restaurant and they even gave me a little box of chocolates as a gift!

Good food, fair portions and great service. As this was a special occasion for us we were delighted with everything and, therefore, I'm highly recommending the place.

Wait staff not super attentive. My drink was empty twice, for extended periods of time and the place wasn’t full in the least. We all had fish. Very good food. Service could improve. Beautiful venue.
