I really enjoy the dinner at here. I was fan of the restaurant even before it move to new location. Everything is good, but the just the lady set next to our table was really rude, frequently looking at our table, I did not know what is her attention......😑. Overall, I really recommend Beef Wellington!!
It was just average....I expected more from Hy’s which recently reopened in a new location.
I am hearing impaired and can always gear my husband at Hy's. Wish they would enforce a dress code. T shirts and ballcaps aren't acceptable.
A good competitor in a very crowded market. Not up to standards of Jacob's or Habour 60 as to quality of service, but noise level and ambience exceed their competitors.

New location is nice and brighter than the old one but the food was just okay. Escargots was good to start as was my husbands salad beef Wellington was just okay and a bit overcooked for my liking. My husband had steak and lobster and his steak was perfectly cooked but the lobster was a bit tough. Service was good but surprised no one offered pepper when the courses were delivered. For the overall price of the dinner we won’t be returning. The value just isn’t there compared to other fine dining restaurants we have eaten at.

Amazing experience! Our waiter Mike was very attentive and funny too!
the food are perfectly coked. but the meat has lot of tendon inside. And the table was too small for four of us. Other than that everything was great specially the service
Amazing service. They treat everyone like a movie star. We had 1 dedicated server but was greeted or tended to by at least 5. They were not overwhelming, just the right amount of service. Food also excellent. Live music was very enjoyable, as well!
Love the beef wellington and their jumbo scallops. The service was amazing. The atmosphere better than the old Hy's. I am definitely coming back.
We really loved most everything about our experience at Hy's. The ambiance and service was amazing. The food was delicious and of course we had steak.
Sitting by the fireplace, with an excellent Bordeaux, all the while in the presence of my love interest, waiting for the Chateaubriand to be prepared correctly by a knowledgeable and personable server, did the outside world matter?
Of course not!
Hy's is pure escapism.

With so much competition from great steakhouses in Toronto, we won’t be back.
Would not say anything but for the price and reputation (go spend your money at Jacobs, Shore Club, Ruth’s Chris or even the Keg). Weird service touches, bland, under seasoned, and inconsistently cooked steak and potatoes - A 9oz glass of red wine spilled on our table, seat beside me, and splashed on my clothing without even a visit from the manager. Great live music and wine selection though.

Food is just okay not worth going back
Overall really great experience. The food was good, service excellent
We were staying at Fairmont Royal York for the OGRA conference and because we had heard so many great things about Hy’s Steakhouse, decided to check it out. It was a great experience. The atmosphere and service was incredible, and the food was delicious! Will definitely be back!
excellent the 2 times we went so consistence. The food is amazing and the service equally amazing. We were regulars at the old Hy's and this food is superior to the old place. The ambiance is a New York feel which we love.
Great wedge and spinach salads. Steaks fantastic and superior service.

New location is an upgrade as big bar & seating area conducive to meeting for drinks then dinner....Service was great & food good but steak had to be sent back but still not correct....they DID correct & remove from the bill which is why we will return for certain.
We went to Hy’s for my Husband’s birthday and we really couldn’t have chosen a better place to celebrate it.
Everyone was very welcoming and the attention was A+!! The food, as always, was amazing! They sat us in a table overlooking the first floor, and they just really made sure we had a great time! Thank you Hy’s for making this day so special!!
Excellent steak and seafood , expensive wine prices
The device and food started off great but once they forgot the first item went downhill from there!!!! Lots of money for a meal that should of been better and after they had to take 2 items off the bill they didn’t even offer us anything wont be heading back too many great places to eat to have to put up with that!!!

The food was very slow. We waited over an hour for our meals to be served. My medium steak was burned on the outside and bloody on the inside. For the price this was a very disappointing meal

It was both of our first time going here and it was also the first time we both tried escargot and beef Wellington.
Everything was amazing; the food, service and overall experience was outstanding.
Business dining solo. Typical high priced steak house. Good food and ambiance. Service was attentive.
This place was amazing! We came for the Beef Wellington and it lived up to every expectation possible. The only negative feedback I’d give would be the lobster app wasn’t very good. A different style then use to I suppose. Nonetheless the food, service, and ambiance were perfect. Staff very friendly and professional, food was served extremely quick and did not disappoint. We’ve already personally recommended this place to friends and will continue to do so. Will return for sure!
For the price of hys I would rather go to Jacobs or micheals.
We arrived and the hostess didn’t even take our jackets- or ask.
Food was just ok. Pretty bland actually.

Food was amazing. Service was on point. Missed the little ribs that the old location had. You should bring them back
We had an exceptional experience from the moment we walked through the door. Dinner, ambiance, food and service all exceptional. Thank you for making our evening special with our friends.
After the anticipation of wanting to try Hy’s and visiting for the first time, I can say that it wasn’t a great experience. We ordered the cheese toast and onion soup to start. The toast was cold and soggy and the onion soup came out cold/lukewarm at best. After asking for a new one, we weren’t even done our appetizers when our main course had come out. We were both shocked since a place that’s considered fine dining, you’d think you would wait until both guests are done their appetizers to clear and reset for mains. Everything was rushed out. My steak and fries were very under seasoned to the point that I had to season it myself and my partner’s steak didn’t even look big for a 22oz steak. On top of that, his potato purée tasted like a mouth full of ginger and nothing else. No creaminess, butter, or salt to it. Very bland. As we finished our main courses, the dessert menus were almost carelessly thrown/dropped onto our table as the server walked away without saying anything. By that point, we weren’t even in the mood to spend more money on dessert even though we initially wanted to. The entire experience felt very rushed and awkward. We left very disappointed on what was supposed to be a special night out.

the food was incredible. the live music was perfect. the service exceed expectations. it always the perfect evening out!
Our table wasn’t ready, we had to wait 25 mins to be seated. We had plans for after dinner, by the time we were sat we only had 1 hour for dinner. Staff were great once we were seated, great table service. Steak was fantastic, but mashed potatoes were so awfully bland, and Caesar salad was tasteless as well. Didn’t have time for dessert. Beautiful restaurant in terms of style, delicious steak, bland sides and disorganized table seating.

As stated service was incredible however our group found the food specifically the main courses of Steak Diane and other cuts to be over-priced for what was served.
