Overall the good was pretty good but the issue was with the service. We paid with a credit card and were told “just sign it and you can leave the tip in cash.” I completed the form as I normally would and left a tip on the receipt. The waiter came back over and said “don’t tell anyone this but we don’t get tips unless it’s cash. That’s why I said leave a tip in cash.” He then told us to just leave cash on the table and he’d cross out the tip on the receipt (He refused to return it to us.) At this point I was sure we were getting played but felt pressured due to him hovering nearby. We left some cash on the table and left immediately. As expected the credit card processed with the tip included. I realize it sounds shady and we chose to leave cash but due to this experience we won’t be returning.
