Our first experience will certainly not be our last, we came to Hyde Park Steakhouse after I proposed to my fiancé and they went over and beyond with a congratulations letter signed by the staff and rose petals scattered across the table, the night was so special and our server Eric was an absolute professional guiding us through the menu. One of the best steakhouse experiences I’ve had to date!

Made reservation for 30th anniversary, expecting a nice reception. Instead the hostess acted like we were walkins stating she would see if a table was available…. Then has the nerve to sit us in a small cubicle with our back to the noisy bar. As I was ready to get a manager, our server Eric, came over and saw my displeasure and moved us to a table in the bar…one of the most disappointing experiences, even the food was below standard for this level of service…as it turned out there were plenty of nicer tables available.. Totally bar atmosphere than high end steakhouse…

I typically dine at Hyde Park during Happy Hour and occasionally enjoy the Early Nights menu. The carpaccio is one of my favorites on the HH menu and includes a lovely salad and cripsy bread planks. The Chicken Milanese is wonderfully crisp and tender. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Victoria was a wonderful hostess. Food was stellar and the ambiance is so chill. The manager comes around and checks on you periodically and is super attentive. The place is no doubt a must try if you’re visiting, OR if you live here all year… go every weekend.

We went to celebrate a birthday and wedding anniversary. We were impressed that we had cards signed by restaurant staff, very nice touch!! The wait staff, Matt and Alan, were very friendly and informative relative to the menu. One of our party wanted the chopped salad and they to split it to two orders for takeaway. The entrees were excellent (wagyu special, halibut and NY strip). The dinner was finished with complimentary desserts. A truly special experience!!

The ambiance was beautiful, the aroma when walking into the building, just made you hungry. The drinks were on point and the steaks were perfectly prepare and very tasty. All of the staff the we had were wonderful and friendly. We will certainly be back for another meal. We were there before 6pm on a Friday, service was impeccable.

The food is good but I’ve have better. My filet was dry despite being MR. The flavor was good though. I split it with my son and there was no split charge which is nice ( no steak on kid menu) The service was EXCELLENT. French onion soup was some of the best I’ve had! The bananas foster came highly recommended but was frankly awful. We dined with our kids 8 & 10. It was a plate of liquor. We have had Foster many times but something was wrong here. You could taste nothing but strong cheap alcohol. The kids spit it out. They took it off the bill no question.

Excellent dining experience! Smoked old fashioned was presented in a smoke filled glass box, amazing Our waiter, Eric, was very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive, made great menu recommendations and provided great service. Started with lobster bisque with lumps of lobster added at table, delicious. Medium rare filet mignons were cooked to perfection and we loved the lobster Mac n cheese. Plenty of Steak and lobster Mac n cheese left over to enjoy again tonight.

My husband and I went for our anniversary. The service was great, everyone was very attentive. We had the Caesar salad, lobster bisque, salmon, twin filets, bread pudding and 2 old fashions. Overall wonderful dining experience. Our food and service was excellent per usual. My only complaint is that we got put at a bar table. Why would we go through the trouble to make reservations to sit at the bar?!? Not to mention the postage stamp table gave us no room for our dishes and drinks! I expected better.

One of the aspects that I love about Hyde Park is that even though there are multiple locations (I've dined in Indianapolis, Columbus, and now in Sarasota), each restaurant has a bit of its own unique character while maintaining a high level of quality across the brand. This consistency and great experience inspire customer loyalty and repeat visits. I've enjoyed every time I've been a guest at one of their restaurants -- and this one in Sarasota is no exception.

The Crab appetizer, which the waitress recommended, reminded me mostly of bland and almost tasteless chicken, and the sauces added very little. The steak itself was perfect.

One of the best places to eat … and relax. They specialize in food but their service is super. They have a way of making feel like they are glad you came to eat and talk with them.
