If you’re looking for a really good (albeit expensive) steakhouse this is it. Food was delicious, service was great.

This is the first time I have been to HP. It was delicious however the noise level on the street was loud. Steak was good and prepared as I liked. I wish there were blackened option available for the steak
While we felt very comfortable the infection control standards employed secondary to COVID, the overall service in this location was very slow/poor. The food was overcooked and overall not a great dining experience for the price. I would strongly advise to seek out other restaurants in the city before choosing Hyde Park.
We were thrilled to hear Hyde park finally opened because of the whole covid situation. And it did not disappoint us. The atmosphere, service, food, and especially the cocktails and creme brûlée were excellent. We were so excited to be there.

Service was excellent. Side dishes were very good. Steaks were ok, but for the price I expected better than ok. I ordered medium well and it came out rare. How does a chef not know the difference? The second time it came out medium but I accepted it as the sides were getting cold and everyone else was almost finished with their meals. Server was very apologetic. I was underwhelmed and probably won’t go back.
Limited menu but understand why
We love Hyde Park but something was off this evening. They did a wonderful job of social distancing and were very respectful. The concerns we had were with the listening skills of our waiter. On a number of occasions he just did not listen to what we said. We asked for our steak add on sauce to be served on the side. Steak came smothered in the sauce. When they removed my steak they took the side dishes that were on the plate and did not replace.
When leaving we asked him to wrap our leftovers together as we are a couple but they got boxed separately (small item) but made for multiple containers.
We understand that they have just reopened after 51/2 months of closure and may need some fine tuning before being back to normal standards. In the meantime the customer expectations have not diminished.
Pricey but excellent food atmosphere and service
This was our second visit, and the second time it was far less than perfect. When eating at a restaurant with a price point like this, I expect perfection. The food was good. The service was not.

I will not make excuses for a five-star restaurant. I expect only the best. I did not receive the best and I am rating this restaurant based on my overall experience, not just the food but also the service and the ambiance. I do not drink so alcohol did not influence my experience here or my rating. I can honestly say that the bone in ribeye at Outback Steakhouse is far better than the steak that I had at this establishment. The service was not great at all. Our Hostess seated us and I had to go back to the hostess booth after we were seated about 15 minutes to inform her that our waitress had not came over to our table yet. That is unacceptable. When you are paying over $100 for a meal you should not have to ask for anything. The time of day that we went the restaurant was very empty. We went at about 3:45 p.m. and it looked as if we were the only customers in the restaurant. Even if that wasn't the cause, I still would not make excuses for them for why we did not receive superb service. The kitchen is right next to the dining area and I could hear everything that went on in the kitchen. I went to this restaurant based on TripAdvisor ratings, needless to say, they are overrated on TripAdvisor.
Randi was our waiter and she was awesome. Appetizers drinks and entrees were all spot on. I come here a few times a year for dinner. Never a bad decision.
Service was poor. Took over 50 minutes to get any food (bread, soup, appetizer).
Steaks were luke warm when served and undercooked.
Soup, Shrimp Cocktail and Baked Potato were good if only they could have been served more timely!
Hyde Park is one of favorite restaurants. I’m glad there are to open during these challenging times. They were a little short staffed, but the Manager went out of his way to make sure the customers were accommodated for the staffing challenges. We all need to be understanding to restaurant challenges. The food was amazing as always.
First time at Hyde Park, we are regular Ruths Chris clients but Hyde Park was recommended by friends.This was a special Birthday Dinner for my Wife. My wife ordered the bone in Rib Eye medium rare. This is her favorite cut and it was VERY disappointing, inedible. The steak arrived tableside not warm and VERY rare. We sent the steak back and it came out slightly warm and still too rare. The sides arrived the same, not hot at all. Our server was very good but this was not a positive experience at out first trip to Hyde Park.

My absolute FAVORITE restaurant in Pittsburgh. Hyde Park never fails to provide a great ambiance, great food, and wonderful, helpful staff. This is my go to spot when wanting a nice date night out or celebration for a reasonable price!

My husband and I went for my birthday and had a poor experience. We were very excited that Hyde Park opened back up, however, we were disappointed when his steak was cooked medium well and ALL fat and he ordered medium rare, and my filet tasted like pure salt. In addition, my soup was cold. Maybe they just didn’t get back into the swing of things, but still very disappointing...

JUST A GREAT PLACE TO DINE. THE WAIT STAFF SEEMED NEW AND WERE A LITTLE OFF THIER MARK BUT WITH THE RESTAURANT JUST OPENING THAT WAS TO BE EXPECTED A LITTLE BIT.

Very good food
The meal and service were perfect. The bone-in filet was exceptional; done exactly as it was ordered. Brussels sprouts were so good. April and Heather were so nice and friendly. Will definitely return.

We were beyond happy with our visit!!! We were celebrating my parents' 40th anniversary and we had 11 people in our party. There were two waitresses taking care of us so we were never left without something we wanted. They are an incredibly professional group of people--everyone we encountered, from the valet, to the hostess, to the wait staff, and the manager. The food was FANTASTIC!!! All 11 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The steaks were cooked to perfection. The wait staff brought out a complementary dessert for my parents and there was even an anniversary card waiting for them on the table as we arrived. We brought a cake with us to celebrate and the waitress cut it, plated it, and served it to us. They take your leftovers and pack them in the kitchen, bringing them out double wrapped for you. Very classy Hyde Park!! You absolutely get what you pay for!!! We would all recommend Hyde Park to any and everyone who will listen!
