HVAC Pub - Wrigley
HVAC Pub offers traditional pub fare with a heavy emphasis on pizza. Classics like cheese, pepperoni and sausage are on offer, or you could choose one of the specials like the Al Green, Ducati, Californication or Rock-a-Hula. If pizza isn't your thing, you might try the Smoky Wings, Nachos, a Salad or one of our tempting burgers. Pair your meal with a cold beer - there are several on offer.

The food and drinks are really good. However after the game there was a band in there which was extremely loud you could not even talk to the people across the table from you. It was too early to have a band playing. After six would be much more appropriate. Also the dancing girls on the bar just doesn’t cut it for that type of location.
Great for a quick bite before a game or a concert
This place is so much fun, whether watching sports on the TVs while dining with the windows open or listening to live music. It gets crowded on Cubs game days so sometimes the drinks can be slow for a minute or two but our server was great and the Fleetwood Mac & Cheese was great!
Do not count on this place. The restaurant was closed even though they took our reservation the day before. It was 7:30pm on a Saturday and hours said they should've been open, but they were completely closed down with no notice.
One of the few places in Wrigleyville that takes pre-game reservations!
Food good.... service a bit slow
Great service and nice that they reserved a table for our large group on game day! Great experience overall!
It’s a very loud atmosphere. The food is basic pub style. Nothing outstanding- we had the Graceland pizza, regular burger, wings, chicken sandwich. The pizza was the best part, and it was just ok. Service was good, the waitress kept our drinks full and checked on us a few times.
The restaurant was closed when we showed up for our reservation.
Made a reservation for a Friday night with out of town guests on Open Table. Showed up and the place was closed. It was embarrassing and really poor business practices. If you are not going to be open, take yourself off Open Table. I even called and left a message that we were going to be late. Received nothing back from them. Very disappointed - will never go back there.
I made a reservation for tonight but went there and they weren’t open.
Typical bar close to Wrigley. Pretty generic. Nothing special, nothing bad. Decent place to go for a beer and bar food before or after a Cubs game.
We arrived at 11:20 and they were closed and their website said they open at 11 am. My reservation was at noon so didn't get worked up over it. It took a bit for someone to come to our table even though we were the only ones there. Once our waitress came by, she took good care of us. Food was good. Loved the decor, overall we enjoyed our lunch before the Cubs game.
Had a great time eating before a concert at Wrigley Field. Food was great especially the curly fries. We had to wait about 30 min for our 8 person table with a reservation. Did not bother us too much since it was packed and walk-ups were told an hour. Mgr comped first round of drinks because of the delay, so we appreciated that. Will go back before a Wrigley event!
Great place to eat before the concert. Fun atmosphere with yummy food!
Crowded on a concert night at Wrigley but staff did their best to get us seated and out before the concert started. Food was good. No complaints.
Rarely do I ever leave bad reviews for a restaurant, as everyone is entitled to an off night. We have eaten here twice now and both times had the same terrible experience. We were sat at 5:30, and didn't leave until 7:45. That's right - it took over two hours to bring us a small cheese pizza and two hamburgers. We had no silverware, no napkins, no Parmesan cheese, etc. We had to ask over and over for our drinks to be refilled. When we asked to speak with the Manager, the host in the front told us that the Manager was "too busy" to speak with us. Never again will we step foot in this place.
Made reso there to take a client pre game. Its really no different than any other local bar. I had higher expectations.
Bad food, even worse service, and unbelievably loud with bad music. The singer couldn't carry a tune! What a waste of a dinner out when there are SO many other great places in the neighborhood!
The music was horrible. The woman could not sing well at all and it was way way too loud
Kristina was totally awesome!
Fairly casual but the service was exceptional (Ashley M). It would have been better if I had known that there was live music - I would have still gone for drinks but probably not ordered dinner. Very difficult to have a conversation.
We arrived for our reservation at 9pm on a Saturday night only to find that there no hostess or even tables in the "restaurant". I finally ask the doorman how to order pizza and was told they only had slices. Maybe they have tables and a real menu at other times of the day, but they need to stop taking reservations when they are no longer operating as a restaurant.
I showed up to HVAC after the Cubs game with a group of 20 people. The staff was very accomodating and the atmoshphere was energetic. Would definitely come back here with a large group. DJ was playing some awesome jams too.
this was a great place to get out of the crowd headed to the subway and wait for the crowd to clear. we had a good pizza and selected from a wide range of beers. a local band was playing very loud music which probably appealed to the younger group, but conversation impossible. Overall good not great
Showed up at 5:40pm for a 5:45pm reservation on the night of Sept. 15th. Was surprised to get a reservation b/c AC/DC was playing that night. Walked in and told the hostess we had a reservation, and she could not have been more rude. "no you don't...we blocked off the last two weeks on opentable". When I told her that wasn't true, and reached to get my reservation#, she said..."it doesn't matter, take it up with opentable" and walked away.
Restaurant failed to honor the reservation. Said they don't honor opentable reservations.
Their Open Table system was broken. Showed up to no reservation. Bummer.
HVAC only serves pizza but it does offer some unusual combinations. Unfortunately, the bacon wrapped date appetizers were burnt and the bruschetta had too much garlic and not enough basil. The BBQ pizza was alright - meat was good but was over sauced.
Yes, we were having drinks and dinner before a Cubs game. The band was playing and it was packed. There was probably 1 server on the main floor and after waiting for 30minutes, they never came to take our order. We ended up going upstairs where there wasn't anyone, got served right away, and got a great seat by the window.
