Brilliant! So lovely to catch the totchos! Really delicious! If people are catching tell right! It’s going to spread fast!
Had to go back here because we couldn't stop thinking about the food after we visited months ago! Everything is so flavorful and delicious, you can't make a wrong choice!
Great food and service
Waited 45 mins for seating after reservation time. Food had hair in two different plates. Wasn’t compensated for bill. Noisy ambiance and terrible waitstaff.
I had a reservation for 5 people at 12:30 on a Saturday. When we arrived the place was packed, loud and there was a line to check in. Once checking in the hostess wouldn't allow my party to sit without our last person (which would have been fine) however the waiting area was beyond packed with servers and busboys running in and out of the kitchen - I felt like I was constantly being pushed around. When we were finally seated 15 min after our last person arrived, the table was fine but the dining room is EXTREMELY loud - I was screaming to the other people at my table and catching every other word being said. All in all, the food and service was fine. We weren't drinking, however I'd come back during the week for their $1 mimosa's (Mon -Friday).
Amazing. Delicious. New. Different. Super cute waitress. Blood orange mimosas were incredible.
Fantastic service. Excellent food.
Had dinner here once and was excited to try brunch. It was only okay. Restaurant was very crowded, loud and hot. Server did come by to check on us, but never once refilled my coffee. Had the shredded bacon Benedict, again, it was okay but wouldn't race back for it. My friend had the croissant french toast, she thought that was pretty good along with her strawberry mimosa. I would come back, but probably not for brunch.
I love hutch,
We absolutely loved Hutch! Food was amazing to say the least. I had the Belgium waffle with vanilla icecream and strawberries (mind was blown), my fiancé had the chicken and waffles (also tasty)! We also order the pulled bacon which was indescribable, mind blown again. Ordered a carafe of mimosas (huge variety of fresh juices to mix with, we had blood orange) for $16, great deal (about 8 glasses)! Our server Shamus also made our experience great, he was awesome while we asked a bunch of questions, and got everything out quick with a smile. Highly recommend, we can’t wait to return!
Waited 20 minutes to be seated, hostess wasn’t very nice.
Super busy brunch- food was sub par
It was nice. Great happy hour!
I came to Hutch last month with a few family members and we had the most amazing experience! It was on a Monday and we couldn’t have been happier with our food and service!
This past Sunday I brought 3 of my family members from out of town to Hutch for brunch and it was so loud/ busy we barely saw the staff. It’s a Sunday and I wasn’t bothered by it as much until our food came. I ordered the same thing last time and was thrilled to get it again, but it didn’t have the same quality as the first. My family thought I was crazy for raving about how amazing the food was. I know my first experience was amazing and the second won’t keep me away, but I’d recommend not going on the weekend so you can get the best of Hutch!
The service was a bit slow. Although, a bit cold and slightly over poached eggs, food was tasty.
Great service and super yummy food. I loved the blackberry moscow mule. Steaks were super flavorful and perfectly cooked. We were seeing a show at Comedy Sportz and it was short easy walk.
Obsessed with this place and will be back again soon. Have been every weekend for the past couple weeks.
Service was slow despite the restaurant being less than half full. Food was mediocre—there are better and similar options in the neighborhood at a better price point. Will not go back.
Great mimosas and Nutella bites, but mediocre eggs Benedict (not enough acid in hollandaise, not enough sauce overall), dry chicken and biscuits (seemed to be missing sausage gravy?), and cold, gloopy cheese potato casserole on the side of entrees. All dishes arrived at our table almost cold, which was very unpleasant! Our server was very friendly.
The food was great! I love that they offer an industry discount every day of the week. Tom was our server and he is fantastic! Highly recommended!
Went for brunch, got a nice table for two by the window We had a reservation and was seated immediately. I highly recommend that you use Opentable for brunch, unless you enjoy waiting for a table.
Were being stared at to leave after an hour of being there, they were trying to rush us out, did a few other things trying to get us to move on- and did not make for a good experience. Seated in a busy pass thru area where we were bumped repeatedly by other guests and servers. Waited for coffee multiple times had to ask for it.
We dine out a lot in Lakeview, Ravenswood and Lincoln Park and have put Hutch into our rotation of top choices!! Fantastic apps, salads ribs and steaks! Great options for light or heavy dining!
I read many reviews before going, so I was well prepared for what to expect. We had a reservation for 11:15am, and were seated at 11:35am. The hostess’ were irritated with the crowd, the wait, and even stood and stared at my table as our meal was coming to an end so they could flip it right away-that’s RUDE! Our server Derrick was FANTASTIC! He did not seem flustered by the crowded dinning space at all, he was laid back, and funny! My friend had the breakfast tacos, and I had the avocado chicken toast with an egg and a side of their hash brown casserole. This was good, except the toast was stale. We shared a karate of blood orange mimosas, they were delicious and Derrick in passing would refill our glasses for us! The tab was $50 which I thought was reasonable for 4 glasses of champagne per person and quite a bit of food. We also made it a point to leave at the ‘suggested’ 90 minute mark.
We ordered the chilequeles and they were nothing more than wet nachos topped with scrambled eggs. The breakfast tacos came with a side of cold rice and beans and the bloody mary’s seem to lack the most important ingredient, vodka. The staff was quite nice but unfortunately the food didn’t match.
This restaurant should just not take reservations. They don’t treat you any differently than someone who just walked in the door. My expectation when I have a reservation is that there is a table reserved for me. We were lucky and only had to wait 30 min rather than the full hour but that was only after asking the hostess 3 times.
The hostess seemed more concerned with seating larger parties that smaller ones. She sat several large party reservations that came in after us. And sat whoever came and complained the most. Her seating order had no rhyme or reason.
After all this frustration the food was eh and the busboy spilled on me. I won’t be coming back.
Went for brunch at Hutch, was surprised that they accept reservations for brunch, which is not common in Chicago. Unfortunately they accept as many walk-ins as places that don’t take reservations, so we were seated about 30-45 minutes after our reservation.
The layout of the restaurant is such that all the kitchen items pass through the throngs of waiting people and since the servers are carrying so much food, they are often carrying it at waist level, meaning it meets with a lot of the waiting guests’ arms, elbows and any ill-timed sneezes.
The rest of the setup makes for crowded tables and not enough service. Our food was cold all around and we had trouble tracking down our check.
Overall, it wasn’t a great experience, but that is more the fault of the owner/designer than any of the staff, who do their best in less than ideal circumstances.
We made a reservation and had to wait 25 minutes. There is really no space to wait, but in the bar area and the staff push their way to/from the kitchen to get past. It seems like maybe the restaurant overbooks themselves and then people have to wait a while. There were tons of people waiting to get seated created a crowd and loud atmosphere. My friend and i went for brunch for restaurant week and thought it was good value for the price and we enjoyed the food.
I have been here before, ordered the same meal multiple times, but all over the summer and on a weekday. Here I come in January trying to get my friend to experience a new brunch place and my meal was HORRIBLE! I got the avocado toast and my I say my "avocado" consisted of slices thinner than paper with mounds of cabbage (not kale) and mushy mushroom. I have gotten this order before and was happy with it but this last time it was disgusting and inedible. On top of that I ordered a fried egg with a hard yoke. When it came runny I asked for them to redo it which the server happily did and I was informed they were " making me a whole new order". Within three minutes I had my order again this time with a burnt egg. It was the same order by the way, I had scarped off some of the mushy mushrooms and they were all in the same place, they had only taken my egg off and "recooked" it.
I have been here MANY times and every time I am underwhelmed but I keep coming back for the mimosas, however with every place in Wrigley currently doing $3 mimosas or the AMAZING brickhouse tavern brunch it is certainly not worth it.
Great food and service!
Great weekday brunch spot.
The food was wonderful. The service was lacking. Overall I would return.
The food and drinks were perfect. The food is great quality.
had drinks and light dinner with a friend. we love going there during the week, not too crowded, but fun atmosphere. the wine is fantastic, martinis great! and the food was remarkable. always find a chance to go back!
Biggest takeaway was the fact that we waited an hour for our table past our reservation time. There is nowhere to stand and we kept checking in with no update. Once we sat down our experience got way better but an hour wait time when you have a reso is really frustrating.
The fried chicken and biscuit was not good. Will not be returning here.
Like the looks and the service was just meh. Also the food. I'll try again.
There was nothing that set this place above every other corner. I expected better food as it was over complicated.
I went to Huxth with two girlfriends and it was the perfect brunch spot. The mimosa special ($2 singles, $10 bottle) was hard to beat! Cute atmosphere, not too loud. My meal was very good. Our waiter was so wonderful and very attentive to us.
