Great mimosas and Nutella bites, but mediocre eggs Benedict (not enough acid in hollandaise, not enough sauce overall), dry chicken and biscuits (seemed to be missing sausage gravy?), and cold, gloopy cheese potato casserole on the side of entrees. All dishes arrived at our table almost cold, which was very unpleasant! Our server was very friendly.

The food was great! I love that they offer an industry discount every day of the week. Tom was our server and he is fantastic! Highly recommended!

Went for brunch, got a nice table for two by the window We had a reservation and was seated immediately. I highly recommend that you use Opentable for brunch, unless you enjoy waiting for a table.

Were being stared at to leave after an hour of being there, they were trying to rush us out, did a few other things trying to get us to move on- and did not make for a good experience. Seated in a busy pass thru area where we were bumped repeatedly by other guests and servers. Waited for coffee multiple times had to ask for it.

I read many reviews before going, so I was well prepared for what to expect. We had a reservation for 11:15am, and were seated at 11:35am. The hostess’ were irritated with the crowd, the wait, and even stood and stared at my table as our meal was coming to an end so they could flip it right away-that’s RUDE! Our server Derrick was FANTASTIC! He did not seem flustered by the crowded dinning space at all, he was laid back, and funny! My friend had the breakfast tacos, and I had the avocado chicken toast with an egg and a side of their hash brown casserole. This was good, except the toast was stale. We shared a karate of blood orange mimosas, they were delicious and Derrick in passing would refill our glasses for us! The tab was $50 which I thought was reasonable for 4 glasses of champagne per person and quite a bit of food. We also made it a point to leave at the ‘suggested’ 90 minute mark.

We ordered the chilequeles and they were nothing more than wet nachos topped with scrambled eggs. The breakfast tacos came with a side of cold rice and beans and the bloody mary’s seem to lack the most important ingredient, vodka. The staff was quite nice but unfortunately the food didn’t match.

This restaurant should just not take reservations. They don’t treat you any differently than someone who just walked in the door. My expectation when I have a reservation is that there is a table reserved for me. We were lucky and only had to wait 30 min rather than the full hour but that was only after asking the hostess 3 times.

The hostess seemed more concerned with seating larger parties that smaller ones. She sat several large party reservations that came in after us. And sat whoever came and complained the most. Her seating order had no rhyme or reason.

After all this frustration the food was eh and the busboy spilled on me. I won’t be coming back.

Went for brunch at Hutch, was surprised that they accept reservations for brunch, which is not common in Chicago. Unfortunately they accept as many walk-ins as places that don’t take reservations, so we were seated about 30-45 minutes after our reservation.

The layout of the restaurant is such that all the kitchen items pass through the throngs of waiting people and since the servers are carrying so much food, they are often carrying it at waist level, meaning it meets with a lot of the waiting guests’ arms, elbows and any ill-timed sneezes.

The rest of the setup makes for crowded tables and not enough service. Our food was cold all around and we had trouble tracking down our check.

Overall, it wasn’t a great experience, but that is more the fault of the owner/designer than any of the staff, who do their best in less than ideal circumstances.

We made a reservation and had to wait 25 minutes. There is really no space to wait, but in the bar area and the staff push their way to/from the kitchen to get past. It seems like maybe the restaurant overbooks themselves and then people have to wait a while. There were tons of people waiting to get seated created a crowd and loud atmosphere. My friend and i went for brunch for restaurant week and thought it was good value for the price and we enjoyed the food.

I have been here before, ordered the same meal multiple times, but all over the summer and on a weekday. Here I come in January trying to get my friend to experience a new brunch place and my meal was HORRIBLE! I got the avocado toast and my I say my "avocado" consisted of slices thinner than paper with mounds of cabbage (not kale) and mushy mushroom. I have gotten this order before and was happy with it but this last time it was disgusting and inedible. On top of that I ordered a fried egg with a hard yoke. When it came runny I asked for them to redo it which the server happily did and I was informed they were " making me a whole new order". Within three minutes I had my order again this time with a burnt egg. It was the same order by the way, I had scarped off some of the mushy mushrooms and they were all in the same place, they had only taken my egg off and "recooked" it.
I have been here MANY times and every time I am underwhelmed but I keep coming back for the mimosas, however with every place in Wrigley currently doing $3 mimosas or the AMAZING brickhouse tavern brunch it is certainly not worth it.

Biggest takeaway was the fact that we waited an hour for our table past our reservation time. There is nowhere to stand and we kept checking in with no update. Once we sat down our experience got way better but an hour wait time when you have a reso is really frustrating.

I went to Huxth with two girlfriends and it was the perfect brunch spot. The mimosa special ($2 singles, $10 bottle) was hard to beat! Cute atmosphere, not too loud. My meal was very good. Our waiter was so wonderful and very attentive to us.

We made a reservation on New Years Day for 2:30pm and weren't seated until about 3pm even though we did arrive 15 minutes early. It was somewhat understandable only because it was a holiday and they were extremely busy; however, we made reservations for a reason. Once we were seated it was directly in front of the DJ they had playing. Only good thing, the DJ was done about 10 minutes later. The food was AMAZING! It took a little longer than usual to get our drinks but they were also extremely good. Would for sure recommend getting the jalapeno/pineapple tequila shot. I could have sat there all day and had them. LOL! I also liked that they are open for brunch every day. Will be visiting again soon!

We were seated in front of the loud DJ speakers so had to shout to hear each other. The table wobbled so much that our drinks spilled. Food was OK, not great. $6 for 3 silver dollar pancakes for a child is excessive.

Great meal. We had the hutch fries (truffle cheese fondue was killer), the potato soup of the day and the tomato soup (both warm and hearty on a freezing Chicago night), the steak + baguette sandwich, and the kale and beet salad. The sandwich was huge and delicious. The salad looked incredibly filling as well.

We were on a time crunch for a show because we hit a lot of unexpected traffic. The wait staff and kitchen team were able to make sure we had drinks, an appetizer, and our meals in time. The service was top notch.

Highly recommend overall!!

Hutch has never failed to be a nice, engaging place to have brunch with friends or to dine solo. The staff at Hutch are fantastic and friendly people and I always know I will be taken care of. Also- they have delicious and affordable mimosas! I love Hutch! It's one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago!

Waited an hour for our food even though the restaurant wasn't busy. Server didn't come to the table to refill drinks or check on us the whole time we were waiting for our food. My friend ordered a second cocktail once our food arrived and the server didn't bring the drink to our table until we were all finished with our food and then was charged $4 for the ice that went into my friend's cocktail.

Sad to say this was a flop. We just moved to the area and were eager to try Hutch. Great drinks and happy hour in the bar, then moved to the dining room for dinner. It wasn’t full but was loud...can’t imagine what it’s like at capacity. We were very clear that one of us had allergy to gluten - steak first cake with onion rings on top (not safe). They remade a steak they came super well done and so dry (we ordered medium+). Ended up just comping it and I had a sandwich when I got home.

Strengths: happy hour.
Weaknesses: food prep and noise.

We may try it again but not for awhile!

We came for brunch on boyfriend’s birthday. Despite the restaurant being full (Sunday brunch) our waitress was amazing! Callie was quick, attentive, and always was available when needed. The mimosas were flavorful and strong (we tried pineapple and blood orange - easily the best one) and the carafes (enough for 7 full flights) have an entire bottle of champagne in them for only $16. The food was also amazing. I had the pulled bacon Benedict, my boyfriend had the chicken and waffles. At the end they gave him a bottle of champagne and a $10 gift card! Definitely recommend coming here for brunch any day of the week.
