Southern
Husk Savannah, the fourth outpost by The Neighborhood Dining Group highlights the unique ingredients of coastal Georgia. Located on W. Oglethorpe St. in the heart of Savannah’s Landmark Historic District, the restaurant is situated on what is known to be one of the most haunted blocks in the city. Originally built in 1898, the building has a vibrant history and plenty of (ghost) stories to share. The cuisine of Husk Savannah upholds a strictly Southern philosophy – working with local farmers and purveyors for a menu of exclusively Southern-grown ingredients. Tried-and-true techniques of seed-saving, heirloom husbandry, in-house pickling and charcuterie programs by the culinary team are the basis of Husk’s offerings with a menu that changes seasonally.

Incredible food and great waitress. We had a wonderful time and I am going to try to recreate some of the food (especially the butternut squash salad). Made a special occasion even better.

First time at Husk and was not overly impressed at all. The facility is beautiful and is wonderfully decorated, but that's about the end of the rave reviews for me. Please do not misunderstand, the food was good, it just did not "WOW" any member of my family (party of four). Three of us had the flank steak (all had it prepared medium) and another had the halibut. Just plain old, "Meh" was the consensus across the board. I do not feel that what was served on the plate was worth the $38 charge per plate and that is a rarity coming from me. I have had far more pricier meals with just a party of two, so paying for a very good meal is not an issue for me, but felt that Husk did not get the right combination of value and portion size. All in all, I likely, would not go there again as I was so under impressed and Savannah has a multitude of fine dining choices throughout the city. Sorry to say but this Southern Restaurant did not live up to its acclaim.

Lost their mojo. After enjoying Husk so much both after their opening and re-opening, we have continued to visit despite a deterioration in both fare, service and management over the last three visits, at least. Today we realized that we had never visited somewhere so often and still be treated like an out of town tourist to be rushed in and out after handing us our check. Too bad...

Wonderful setting and great food. I was afraid that it would be too noisy but we were not seated in the room with the bar, so it turned out to be awesome. Very friendly and knowledgeable server too.

The crudo was out of this world, a perfect combination of delicacies to make a fireworks in your mouth.

Food amazing, service amazing. We sat outside and it was cold and they had 2 heaters for 6 tables. I would think they could get more since it’s a nice restaurant.

This is a terrific restaurant. We were lucky enough to get last minute reservations and was seated right away. Our waiter was terrific and knowledgeable and made excellent recommendations for both food and wine. The food was awesome. The oysters were fresh and sweet, the charcuterie was delicious, the cheese was perfect. And that was just the starters. Oh, the tuna sashimi and snapper were amazing. The mains were excellent. Honestly you can’t go wrong here.

Service was fine/ok. Food was underwhelming at best. Bar was good. We were supposed to be seated main dining downstairs but we were seated upstairs in bar. No big deal just sayin' and has no influence on my review. My stars are maybe inflated, all in all quite disappointed and will not repeat.

Reddish "wreckfish" was excellent and scallops very good but seared only o one side. Unfortunately the flank steak was tough and tasteless. And the sides rather ordinary. The pecan pie was lost in the serving dish. The smoke buttermilk ice cream interesting. The wait service was decent and respilonsive.
Our previous experiences with Husk in Charleston led us to think we would be enjoying fine dining and a warm evening. The menu this night was boring and the food rather trite
The room is cavernous and the bar in the center with loud patrons is very disturbing to other patrons.
In short, it was disappointing. Husk could do better.

This restaurant was like an Oasis in a very busy weekend in Savannah. The atmosphere was so relaxing and the food delicious.
I have celiac and they were extremely accommodating and easily modified my salad and my meal! I would put this as a must do the next time we are in Savannah.

Pork tenderloin was tough. Service was just ok. I had been to Husk in Nashville and had a fabulous experience so I was excited to try the original. Sadly I was disappointed. I would not recommend this restaurant.

We visited the Husk for our anniversary from out of town. A very beautiful building, very warm and inviting. The hostess were nice, greeted us and found our table. We made a last minute change to our reservation and was happy to see there was no confusion. The brunch menu is small. It offers “Firsts” which were about 5 special apps and then your brunch menu. We ordered the hot chicken and the husk breakfast. Food was tasty but a little cold and the portions were small. There was a nice presentation with the coffee. The Bloody Mary is not your typical. On the menu it boasts about 25 ingredients but what we got seemed like a watered down cocktail. There were grease droplets floating at the top of the drink from the bacon the was not fully cooked but placed as a garnish. All in all it was overpriced and kind of a waste of an anniversary date.

OMG, this place is mind blowing. We are visitng Savannah for the first time, loved the city. Yesterday we went to the Olde Pink House, reservation made 1 month earlier, we liked it a lot. Our airbnb host recommended Husk and we came with the OPH in mind as a high standard to find this is even better!!! Expensive restaurant but flavors are something else! We had the Heritage Pork and the Wreckfish and both were surprising, best food we ever had in the U.S ! Combination of flavors and ingredients are amazing! Service is nice and the place is Ok but the food really makes the difference. Desserts we tasted are ok but nothing like the entrees.

Emma was our server & she was very knowledgeable about the menu, both the food & wine. We shared several appetizers, peel & eat shrimp, butternut squash Caesar salad, and the big ahi tuna. For our entree, we shared the scallops. Impeccable! Can’t wait to go back.

We tried Husk on our trip to Savannah. Our reservation was for 645 and we had to wait for our table till 7 pm. The host was very apologetic and seated us in the foyer till our table was ready. The menu is small- about 6 entrees. The flank steak was nicely cooked and flavorful. My brother in law had the wreck fish. He enjoyed that but the the portion was small . Vegetables are very gourmet. Squash, turnips, and pumpkin were popular with our dishes. Overall, it was above average but be prepared to order an appetizer with dinner or else you will leave hungry. Price is on the high side.
