Husk - Greenville is located in the historic West End—just a few blocks from the Reedy River, in the heart of Downtown Greenville. It is the third outpost of the Neighborhood Dining Group’s Award-winning restaurant, Husk. Led by Executive Chef Jon Buck, the kitchen reinterprets the bounty of the surrounding area, exploring an ingredient-driven cuisine that begins in the rediscovery of heirloom products and redefines what it means to cook and eat in Greenville. At Husk - Greenville, there are some rules about what can go on the plate – if it doesn’t come from the South, it’s not coming through the door. The restaurant is as casual as it is chic, evoking a way of life centered on seasonality and respect for an area's agriculture and cuisine. It is a neighborhood gathering place for friends, and a destination dining spot for travelers, with a little bite of the South for everyone’s palates.

We loved Husk. The service was great, we were seated right on time, the drinks were interesting. The food was really good. We had the shrimp and grits, the duck leg with red peas, arugula salad and the potato soup. All of it was great. We will be back.

My family owned a restaurant for 35 years so we r all foodies. This place was delightful! The pork belly and shrimp and grits were wonderful. They brought some really different flavors to the latter especially! I can’t wait to go there again when I’m in town.

Farm to table with flair! My daughter and friend joined me for a tapas-style dinner. We sampled starters: beef tataki, arugula salad, roasted beets and roasted root vegetables. The tataki featured beef puffs, a new experience. The puffs are fried, dehydrated beef tendons, very much like pork rinds, only prettier. Dessert didn’t disappoint. Fermented benne gave a richness to the chocolate layer cake that was simply decadent. The persimmon sorbet soared. Ward served us well and the dining room is cheery and delightful. Thank you, Husk. Maybe I can get a table in Chucktown next time I visit.

Our server was incredibly kind and not pretentious. He was very helpful with recommendations and prompt with our orders. The food was so good. Best short rib and steak I’ve ever had. Came for my girlfriend’s Birthday. They had a menu that said ‘Happy Birthday’ on it. Incredibly pleased with the entire visit.

This was our fourth visit to Husk in Greenville. Unfortunately, the service, food and value has significantly decreased. Prices are well beyond the quantity and quality of the food. Our waiter couldn't have been less interested in making our experience special. Feel like they are resting on their reputation which they are not improving. Very sad as this was and could be again a great place.

My wife and I went to Husk for our anniversary. I selected anniversary on the reservation and Husk did not disappoint. As we were seated the hostess congratulated us and gave us menus that said Happy Anniversary. When our waitress came up, she also congratulated on our anniversary.

For the starter we ordered the cheese plate. I ordered the smoked pork chop and my wife had the catfish. We also ordered the Appalachian cornbread. Since everything is farm to table, we were told the menu changes periodically. The next time we go, I hope these items are still there because everything was well prepared and full of flavor. The service was excellent. Our food came in a timely fashion, but we never felt rushed. My wife and I were able to talk, drink, eat and enjoy the night.

We will be going back!

This was our second time dining at Husk Greenville and our fifth time dining at Husk. Every meal has been amazing with service to match. Tonight at Husk Greenville I experienced the absolute best shrimp and grits I’ve eaten anywhere, including Any I’ve ever had in Charleston SC. Reminiscent of a beautifully spiced curry, the sauce was warm and spicy, with perfectly cooked shrimp and creamy rich grits. Decadent and beautiful. I could not ask for better food or service.

We’ll preface this with the fact we’ve all worked in restaurants. Overpriced food for what you get. Glass of wine pour 4 oz with 9 oz price. Wait person a little sultry with answers to regular questions about menu/wine. Ambiance great but better Greenville eateries with the same ambiance.

It's been awhile since I've been out, so lunching at Husk was a treat to myself. I dined alone, but I was warmly welcomed on a cold fall day. I enjoyed a specialty bourbon manhatten that was absolutely superb and also warming! The shrimp and grits had a seasonal accent with apples! Everyting was great! Love this place!

The food was unique and delicious. We started by sharing an autumn soup - full of fresh, seasonal ingredients. The main course (pork chop for me and shrimp and grits for my wife) were flavorful and more than we could eat since we saved room for dessert. The pumpkin bread pudding was one of the best desserts I’ve ever tasted. The atmosphere, service, food exceeded our expectations.

Night and Day From previous visit. Our first visit was shortly after they opened in Greenville and I was so disappointed. The service was absolutely awful—attitude, arrogance, unsophisticated in every sense of the word. The food was ok, but over prepared and more about presentation then the taste and quality. Friends in town wanted to go do I went back. Brandon was hands down one of the best servers I have every had—knowledgeable, personable, passionate and really really fun. Food was well prepared and unique. If it’s been a while since you’ve been, go back!!!

Fun, social bar area makes any wait time very enjoyable. Very creative presentation, excellent fresh ingredients, waiter went out of his way to explain menu items and made good recommendations. Great atmosphere - highly recommend checking out this restaurant. Friends from Denver, CO loved it and it was our 1st visit... will return in future!

Staff was unfriendly and rude. When our reservation was 10 minutes late and we asked the bartender about them she asked the host. As the host seated us she said she heard we were hangery! Her words exactly. Never once were we rude or impolite!

We had high hopes but were very disappointed. Our primary objection was the saltiness of the food. The entrees and soup starter were very salty which overpowered and masked the actual flavor of the food. I would expect too much salt in chain establishments but not from a restaurant at this level and with its reputation. The soup was something I would expect to come from a can of Progresso soup. The service was only adequate. The only positive experience was that the cocktails were very good. The Greenville location was a destination restaurant for us and unfortunately we were disappointed.
