Husk - Greenville
Atmosphere was OK. Food was good but not exceptional like I expected.
Out waiter knew exactly what was in each dish & how it was prepared. The food was fresh and herbs were grown right outside of the restaurant. The restaurant was built on the end of a preexisting old building, so one of the walls had original advertising on the brick, which added a vintage hipster like ambiance. We were given 2 flutes of champagnes, on the house, to celebrate our anniversary. My husband orders a beer on tap, in which they were only able to accommodate 3/4 glass full do to the keg being empty, so they gave him that glass plus a different full glass of beer, at no extra cost. My husband had a Thai inspired swordfish meal, which was excellent. I had barbecued pork shoulder, which was good, but I wouldn't say it was excellent. I will choose something different next time. It is definitely a restaurant to which we will return.
disappointed with the food. My husband got the shrimp and gritz ... shrimp overcooked (he left some because they were too rubbery) and the grits was not completely cooked and had rock hard pieces of grits inside. I had the same gritz with my duck. I just didn't eat it. He must have had to spit out at least three dozen uncooked hard grits. Cocktails were good, but small for the price. Skip the fried chicken skin appetizer.
Delicious. Fresh ingredients. Large portions.
Wonderful, great food, atmosphere was cozy and nice
Delicious meal. Excellent service which included complimentary sparkling wine since it was our anniversary. Did not love my dessert choice...bourbon brownie fell a bit flat for me.
The food was amazing, we went before a show at the Peace Center and enjoyed time with family. I love their seasonal options, and presentation for food.
Excellent service and food!! Love the atmosphere!!
Great brunch experience as always. Gregory was a great server. The hash skillet was perfect as always!
It was just ok.. server wa
Amazing. It's as good as you think. Will not disappoint.
I cannot recommend this restaurant more highly - the flavors were so amazing. Great spot for a special occasion- they even printed Happy Anniversary on our menus such a fun touch. Will be back for sure!! Highly recommend the pimiento cheese, the duck, the shrimp & grits and the cookies and milk.
This place is fantastic! Food and the service was impeccable!
We had a wonderful dinner great staff very friendly thank you
Fantastic across the board. In my 10 years in Greenville, this was my 2nd favorite meal (behind only one at the now defunct American Grocery). The pork with spaetzle was out of this world. And the smoky old fashioned cocktail was incredible. Well done, folks.
Had a really great meal and wine. Our server was very helpful with both food and wine selections and pairings. All the fresh vegetables from the summer made the meal.
Everything we ordered was outstanding! Initially intimidated by the crackling Pig ear lettuce wraps... but we dug in, and they were awesome! The pork chop on the spaetzle was also first class special. Nothing to complain about it all on the rest of our food, which was the shrimp and grits, the blueberry sorbet, and a side of cucumber watermelon. Can't wait to go back!
A great addition to Greenville dining scene. Compliments to the wait staff as some of the most attentive and knowledgeable, and well trained (wish I could remember her name) server we have had in a very long time.
Very good overall and highly recommended. Had one meal that, as farm fresh pork, was exceptionally fatty however the staff made good on correcting the issue. Other meals fabulous as always. Service knowledgeable and personal, wine and bar menu extensive - something for every taste.
Always a great experience eating add any of the husk restaurants
Excellent food and drinks. Our waiter was friendly. Drinks were really slow coming out. Otherwise a great experience!
Great drinks, ambiance and service. I would rate the food as ok. In a city full of amazing food, I think I'll only come back for the drinks.
Husk is one of our favorite restaurants in the Greenville are which has become a "foodie" city.
Our 2nd time & just a wonderful dining experience
Service is great & knowledge of the menu was good. I love the excellent food & service with no snobbish vibe
Slow service, expensive drinks, took over 1 hour for our food to come out. Pricey, but great ambiance and food was delicious.
Food was very good with interesting flavor combos - shrimp and kolbasa. Wine list is hard to understand with wines classified by soil type. Drink service was very slow. Don’t know if it was the server or the bartender. Still worth a visit.
Excellent Farm to Table Cuisine, with very attentive servers!
Everything was perfectly executed without taking themselves to seriously. Can’t say enough good things about this restaurant.
We are so happy we discovered the HUSK in Greenville while we were en route from TN to the beach in SC. It was a perfect stop on our trip. The Old Fashion cocktail was delightfully served with a lid to allow for a last minute smoke infusion. We decided to split a few things, and each of the dishes was delicious: the pimento cheese and ham toast, the pork belly lettuce wraps, the house-cured meats plate, and the veggie plate (that succutash!!!)
The space is well-appointed but not fussy, and our server was knowledgeable and personable. We will definitely be back next year on our annual trip to SC!
Our dinner at Husk was fabulous! We started with the pimiento cheese and then also had cornmeal fried chicken skins. Both were delicious. I had a chopped salad for my dinner, which was outstanding and my husband had the duck. I've never had anything less than amazing to eat here. Would highly recommend!
Get there as often and as fast as you can.
Outstanding experience and amazing food
Another wonderful experience. The food and service and top notch. Everything we had was excellent.
Husk continues to impress with a unique combination of locally sourced foods always providing layers of flavor cooked into every bite. Husk is our favorite restaurant in Greenville.
Excellent food and amazing drinks!!!!
The service was top notch, the food was fantastic in every way. We will absolutely come back and will refer this as one of Greenville’s top restaurants for service and quality dining.
Excellent food and superb service. Will definitely go back.
Went for Father’s Day brunch. Service was inattentive after we received drinks and placed our order. Pacing between appetizer and entree was rushed. Pecan bread and chicken wing appetizers were enjoyable. Cheeseburger was the best dish ordered. Steak good but not great. Brisket hash was lacking brisket. French toast was just plain bad.
We went for Sunday brunch on Father’s Day. French toast was just ok, it tasted like the bread was deep fried which was not expected. The bacon was not on the side but consealed with the blueberries so at first thought they forgot. The country breakfast was disappointing. On the whole, it was ordinary brunch that cost more than it should have. Will not make a point of returning.
