Husk - Greenville
The restaurant is as casual as it is chic, evoking a way of life centered on seasonality and respect for an area's agriculture and cuisine brought to life by chef-driven menus that evolve daily. Husk is a neighborhood gathering place for friends, and a destination dining spot for travelers.
At each award-winning location of Husk by the acclaimed Neighborhood Dining Group (Charleston, SC; Nashville, TN; Greenville, SC; and Savannah, GA), there are some rules about what can go on the plate – if it doesn’t come from the South, it’s not coming through the door.
Service was nice, and we enjoyed our dishes. There is pork in almost everything, but they can accomodate. We actually preferred the table rolls over their skillet cornbread. We would give it another shot. Thanks chase for a birthday treat!
Birthday. Everything was lovely and very delicious
Very high quality food preparation and the service was very personal. Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable about how each dish was made and even the varieties of the foods that were being used. These dishes have complex flavor, and they are not standard fare.
Really Exceptional Service and Fantastic Food -- and Don't skip the best ever pimento cheese!
Great experience definitely lived up to the expectations.
I thought the food was very good but should have offered some basic brunch offerings as well. I thought it was priced a little high for breakfast fare.
Sunday brunch. Great food good time. Relaxed atmosphere
The place is very nice and very well located. Service was very gentle. Food was good, portions where not too big. Only one comment related to the price that in my opinion was a bit to high.
We made reservations at Husk for 4 people on a Saturday night and out table was ready when we arrived on time. Our waiter was excellent and provided wonderful service. The specialty cocktails were really good and came in cool little mason jars. All 4 of us really enjoyed the food that we ordered. The Pimiento Cheese appetizer was amazing!! I ordered the chicken dish and it tasted really good, but would give it a 4 star instead of 5 because it came out luke-warm instead of hot.
Overall, the experience was great and I would recommend it.
We had the most amazing dinner here last Saturday night. The menu changes constantly based on what fresh ingredients they can find. If they have it, get the fried chicken skins. They are possibly the best thing I ever ate. Get a special cocktail - those also change seasonally- I got one(ok 2) with pear and gin and thought it was delicious. Save your money and skip the $15 cornbread. Your mamaw can make it better and for only $1.25.
This is one of my favorite places to eat. Fresh and local food made by chefs that understand the importance that Sean Brock envisioned when opening the place. Jon Buck is outdoing himself with the food they are putting out. I had my 1-1/2 year old granddaughter with us and she even loved what was offered to her. Food at its simplest and finest. I recommend Husk to all my friends. And if you go. GET THE CORNBREAD.
Fried chicken was awful. Hamburger was great. Messed up our order so service was not up to par.
Great food and excellent service! Husk made our Valentine’s dinner very special! Brandon was an amazing server.
Everything was excellent. Thank you!
Husk is Fantastic. The service was exceptional, food was amazing, and atmosphere was ideal.
Amazing food ad usual, amazing service and a wine I have never had before!
Good was very good I had the chicken next time I will try shrimp and grits great service and good waiter
great food, and great service. we have eaten here many times and were not disappointed
We had a wonderful meal and great service. The drinks at the bar were creative and that creativity and quality continued through the meal with the service and product.
The perfect meal! Wonderfully balanced flavor ; delicious farm to table.
Food was amazing!! Cocktails were really elaborate and tasty! Service was a bit close for our liking but overall a great experience
The perlou was delicious. The service was great.
Great food, ambiance, service.
Great food. Sammy our waiter was awesome. Best bread pudding in town!
Wonderful celebratory Sunday brunch. Food and service were outstanding. Especially appreciated champagne from the owner to help us celebrate.
COOL PLACE!!! Service on phone with reservation and our waitress were outstanding! Wine was delicious...Hill! Food was fresh and unique! Too many flavors for me personally, but I am sure it is more me than the chef! Fun place to be!
Great fun, great service!
Great ambiance and service with a well-rounded menu.
So much thought and preparation put into this food. Honored to be able to eat there and can’t wait to go back.
After visiting the Savannah location and having an excellent meal, we were excited to visit the Greenville location. Unfortunately, the overall experience, including the food, was just ok. We had just visited Asheville, NC the previous weekend and had some amazing food experiences. I was hoping to keep the momentum going. That didn't happen. While there was nothing wrong with the food per se, it just wasn't at the level of being exceptional or rememberable. For the price we paid, we felt the food wasn't of the high quality we expected from Husk.
We don’t usually splurge on brunch but with Husk, that will have to change! Perfect Bloody Marys! The house special sampling breakfast was such a culinary treat! Excellent shrimp and grits with the most amazing pepperoni! And delicious hash! Oh, at the best pimento cheese and homemade Benne flatbread! We’ll be back!
Loved the ambiance and the service was impeccable. Food was delicious and interesting. We we’re hoping to linger through the meal a little longer but the food came out too quickly for our big date night out. I think cauliflower was substituted for the butternut squash in my fish dish which was a disappointment because I love butternut squash!! Al in al it was a pleasant experience.
Great service & ambiance!
Wonderful as always - The best shrimp and grits I have ever had!! Make sure to save room for dessert - It is outstanding.
I would definitely recommend Husk. The service was exceptional and the food was excellent. We were there for Restaurant Week and were very pleased with the choices available. My husband chose the pork chop and he related that it was the best pork chop he had every ordered. It was huge, very moist and flavorful. I was also enjoyed the baked catfish. We will definitely return.
Unknowledgeable server did not accommodate dietary restriction and became visibly offended when we asked to speak to another server more familiar with the subject. We were forced to leave when my guest became uncomfortably ill due to allergic reaction. The situation could have been very easily remedied but hubris and incompetence ruined a birthday meal. Unfortunately not worth trying to remedy the situation with Husk - Greenville. My date is very upset and is actively encouraging others with conditions similar to hers to seek alternative establishments.
Thoroughly enjoyed our entire experience!
Friends from Texas here who loved it!
Loved Husk in Charleston and SO HAPPY to have one in our new home, Greenville!
Amazing food and flavors. Vibrant ambience. We came for Restaurant Week and will be back. The desserts were not a good example of Husks ability to capture a southern recipe and take it to the next level.
Amazing food as usual!
Food, ambience, and staff were all awesome!! We'll be there again soon!
