We had a wonderful meal. Cocktails were well crafted and we did several shareable plates. Food was great. Service was good but need to ask for a few things occasionally like flatware and plates but they fit right on it. Restaurant was really hot but that happens sometimes between seasons. Would definitely go back again staff was very friendly.
small plates, interesting food. frequently updated menu and specials keep things interesting. Lots of non-reservation seating in the bar area at small tables, high tops and at the bar itself. Nice cocktails and wine list.
My waitress Rachel was amazing!
The food was excellent. The menu which changes weekly was awesome. Had a great selection. Glad we found this place.
So enjoyable in every way except the noise level. Wish something could be done about it.
Bartenders are excellent and very friendly
Love eating at the bar
Generally this is food for the beer and burger pub crowd who want to think they are foodies because the french fries have truffle salt on them. The chefs are making an effort but the food is heavily fried (roasted cauliflower steak was fried to a crisp), over dressed (fish tacos heavy with a ton of mushy cole slaw and hardly any fish) and over spiced. The one bright spot was a burrata salad with watermelon radish and swiss chard. Cocktails were good but the wine list is mostly cheap, mass produced wine marked up 4X.
The service was great: very helpful and attentive.
This place is on the right track but could do a lot better.
Rude went for lunch only dinner menu
It was too noisy for conversation. The waitress did not hear us order an app. When we inquired, she laughed and said, “ I did not hear you and we are out of it now.” She did not offer a substitute or apologize.
After enjoying a mid-week dinner with friends, I recommended this eatery to my husband and another couple. We checked the menu on a Tuesday and made a reservation (advising I was a vegan). When we arrived on Saturday we found that they had changed the menu on Wednesday and some of the things that appealed to us were gone. OK, we'd make do, but my husband couldn't get his skirt steak without Brussels sprouts, and it seemed as if it was 75% sprouts to 25% meat. There was nothing meal-wise for vegans, so I had the cauliflower steak and a bowl of Brussels (both were excellent, but a protein would have been appreciated). Our friends couldn't hear a thing we said if we didn't shout, and the water served from a flask was warm. Foodies may love a menu that changes weekly, but we just wanted a nice meal and a non-shouted conversation with friends.
Food was great. The service was pretty good. Its a small plates restaurant but my girlfriend and I ordered 3 plates for the two of us and we couldn’t finish them. So pretty good portions
It's a very quaint place with a great staff. The food selection consists of "elevated" recipes and is somewhat limited. The meals were tasty but pricey for what they were. The wine is also pricey and you get very little for the money. It was an expensive outing for just "a quick bite."
I think they are confused as to what they are. Food & service were outstanding but the LOUD live music coming from the bar area made it impossible to have a conversation during dinner. In summary if you are looking to hang out drink & listen to music you will have that experience but if a fine dining experience is what you're looking for go elsewhere.
This place looks more like a neighborhood bar from the outside. We were pleasantly surprised to be seated in a nice sized dining room, which is hidden in the back of the building. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The bartender came to our table to discuss a cocktail recipe with us, then sent the drink out perfectly. Sharing portions are generous, probably enough for three to share. The beer and wine selection is extensive and fairly priced. The food is very good. Lots of creativity from the kitchen.
Can’t say enough about this wonderful restaurant! The food, ambience and staff are all the best!
The back room where the tables are seated has no air circulation. It gets extremely stuffy where you can’t breathe. The service was fair. The gentleman who cleared the table served the desert before clearing the entire table and did not bring flatware for all. The waitress was wonderful in the beginning but we sat for a long time before I was able to get the attention of a busboy to clear the table. Then it took over 15 minutes before the waitress came back to ask if we were interested in having dessert. During dessert we decided we would order additional desserts but it took so long that we felt best to order them to go and asked for the check so as to not have anymore delays. The staff was attentive when it is slow, but as it gets busy it will be quite a while before you can get the attention of someone. Perhaps they are new and just need to get the kinks out.
Great local restaurant with a comfortable and enjoyable dining experience. Maria, the owner is hands on to ensure that all her customers have a great time. Definitely, a must.
Second time a charm. Love the food and the whole experience. Maria is super pleasant to talk with. Highly recommend.
This place is LOUD. Too loud—they need to install something on the walls or the ceiling because we had to shout to each other over our meal and our ears were ringing when we left. We thought the sound level might be better in the dining room, but that almost felt louder than the bar. Food was ok, nothing great. Needs more vegetarian options in the large shareable plates. They were out of half of what we wanted to order. Dining room was also very hot and humid. My boyfriend had to step outside for a little because it was soooo hot and wet. We will not be back.
A transformational menu and dining experience. Lively venue. Sharing plates is highly recommended and adds to the fun. Mmmm petit filet mignon bites and the unstructured tomato and mozz salad were amazing. Everything was very tasty and a mouth watering delight. Note: Parking is tight.
The selection of food had something for everyone as we had some restricted diets. Not a complaint or a leftover. Bring your own wine Saturday was a huge bonus, but I will return for some small plates and draft stout very soon.
The fried calamari was outstanding as a shareable plate. Plenty of food for 4 people. The truffle Mac and cheese is also very good and I would highly recommend it.
The drink specials are innovative and a good value
The food was very good however the noise level was extremely loud. I recommend sitting in the dining area behind the double doors where the noise level is a little better. The service was a little lacking, waited too long to have our food order taken and to have our drinks brought over. It seemed the service in the pub area was better, people were drinking & eating before us, even though they came in after. I went on a Friday evening, perhaps an earlier week night would be better? I would recommend this restaurant for the food but not to enjoy conversation or good service.
Things started off well. We were greeted by the owner and given a tour of the restaurant. We sat at he bar and were well taken take of by Asia.
But for the most part, the food was average to poor. The one exception was the candied bacon. The filet tid bits were fatty and buried under an over complicated bowl. He soup was inedible. The cocktail menu offered nothing that appealed. And the dessert menu was sliced right from someone else’s kitchen. All for $135.00.
I was hoping this local place would be better. It’s trying to be for foodies, but misses the mark.
Great food, only thing Inwould day is if you make a res. and want to go on a Sat night for the no cork fee make sure you confirm your sitting in dining area, as we did confirm but they wanted to seat us by the bar where you can’t bring your own wine, Manager took care of us but I think you need to confirm with customers if they. Bring wine they willl not have an issue as we did. After being seating everything was amazing from food and staff
Good spot for drinks and small plates - very loud so be prepared to shout.
Just went there last night. We loved the tapas style menu, wine, beer, and cocktails were excellent. Our only suggestions would be to create a decor in the main dining room-it’s very blank and could greatly benefit by a fun updated theme. The menu reflects a enthusiastic chef, one who is always looking to create a unique dining experience. I think the dining room should match that vibrant creative theme. Looking forward to coming back again. Thanks for a great meal.
We live locally so very happy to have a restaurant close with such outstanding food. We tried a few different plates and everything was wonderful. The owner greeted us at the door and introduced herself, was a nice touch. Parking is tricky, but that's because there was a good crowd. The only issue there was convenience fee for using a credit card. I get it, you want your customers to use cash. But as a person that use American Express card for everything it leaves a bad taste in your mouth.
Food was great. Very unique menu. We got a few different small plates and one was better than the next. Our server was so personable and very attentive. We had a great evening.
We were celebrating Valentines Day. My wife was given a long stem rose which was a nice touch. We enjoyed our dinner which consisted of 3 different tapa plates, which were larger then expected. Overall we enjoyed our evening and will return.
Great food. Best chicken wings I ever had. We shared 4 small plates. All delish
Knowledgeable staff, great drinks, great food. Wish we'd gone there sooner.
We were very impressed with this restaurant. The owner Maria explained everything to our table. Food was excellent. We shared 5 dishes with our friends. Highly recommend. We will definitely return.
The only issue we had was leaving the restaurant people were parked along the road so it made it very dangerous pulling out of the parking lot blind. For this reason I most likely would not come back.
First time here since this place changed to Husk and Vine. Can’t say enough about how good the food and service was. We were seated in the back room, which we were happy about, as the bar area was loud from the crowd at the bar and the live music in the front. Our only criticism is the lack of ambiance in the back room. They need to decorate it, update it, make it trendy or do something. We felt like we were sitting in an extra back room at someone’s house. Put up some pictures, take down the dated tapestry hanging from the wall. Spending a few bucks on some paint, pictures and some decorations would go a long way to make a 5 star overall experience!
The food was awesome! We had 4 people and shared 2 “apps”, 2 “entrees”, and 3 desserts. The food was creative and tasty. We enjoyed a bottle of wine for half off since it was a Wednesday special. The atmosphere is cozy! We would definitely be back. The menu changes every Wednesday, so more of reason to go back!
Awsome dinner drinks and food was spot on served hot and perfectly seasoned
