Rustic setting & atmosphere on the water with good crowd at bar & eating area. Good meal, fair price.
Peel and eat shrimp hot was excellent
Drinks good the
Fresh fish and shrimp ok fish overdone shrimp chewy
How can ya make great peel and eat and mess up regular shrimp??
Waite staff was friendly and good servers attentive
We went to Hurricane Patty’s over a decade ago frequently for All You Can Eat Crablegs. We just moved back into the area and wanted to go back. The food was absolutely horrible. My family if 6 are for $160 and it was the worst seafood I’ve ever had. The only nice thing about the night was the live singer RaChill with her guitar. Living in Florida we expected a nice seafood meal and would have better making fish sticks at home.
Great place for drinks on the water. Food was good.
Great seafood platters always love going here whenever I come to St Augustine’s from Orlando ! Food is great
Good food and great place to view the boats in the marina!
Food and service were fantastic. Always a pleasant dining experience.
Everything was great!
Some of the best seafood I have had in Florida in a long time
Server did a nice job, but food took to long and was cold when we finally got it. It sat under a heat lamp because all the sauces had started to coagulate. Server was very nice and tried very hard. She was overwhelmed.
Our family of four had dinner here during Christmas week. There was live music playing and we were seated right next to the band so it was rather noisy. I ordered a cocktail which did not arrive until after I asked for it again, and they brought a salad to the table which no one had ordered, but other than those two small glitches, our meals were excellent. Cannot rave enough about the oysters on the half shell!! Absolutely fresh and delicious! My mother loved her crab cakes and my daughter’s nachos were plentiful and topping generous. Nice view across to old St Augustine. We would definitely dine here again.
We ate at Hurricn Pattys on Christmas Eve. We found a lively family friendly casual atmosphere. The setting is on e water with a sea side shack vibe. Our server was professional, the kitchen was slow (not surprising for a holiday). Our seafood entries were prepared correctly and were served piping hot. The side dishes were prepared with attention rather than being just add ones. We'll come again.
Very good food and service.
Only issue was that the food could have been hotter.
we had our company Christmas party there on December 19th. the waitress were on top of things. never had to ask for anything. the food was extreme tasty. I would highly recommend hurricane patty's for business and pleasure.
We were promptly seated but after our food order was placed it was over 45 minutes and we were served only after bringing it to the managers attention that our wait was way too long, no one in the party ordered anything that took more than 8 minutes or so to prepare, and it was not a packed house. We could only assume that the cause of the wait was either a horribly run kitchen or a ploy to increase the bar bill. The manager did give us a discount, and we all agreed the food was quite good. We also did not blame our server as we did not believe he dropped the ball at all. Go if you have a bunch of time to eat.
Great location on the water. Looked a little rough (kind of bar like) when we arrived. But the service was great and everyone loved their food. It is casual with entertainment. The music did not overpower our conversation. Great for very casual dining.
Music was louder than comfortable and would have sounded better at a lower level.
I love the quaint riverfront atmosphere. I had the fried shrimp, My only suggestion is that they should serve the "pink sauce" with the shrimp.
Great local restaurant. Food was very good and the service was outstanding. A great place to hang out with friends and just enjoy the time.
We went here on thanksgiving due to waiting too long to make a reservation, we were happy to see that they had a traditional thanksgiving dinner
The place is kinda rundown, but the waiter we had was excellent. Was shown a full menu when we booked, but when we were sitted, it was a limited menu for the holiday. The prime rib on the menu looked good, but when ordered, waiter said it wasn't cooked right and the meat was chewy. So opted for the lobster stuffed pasta which was good. Others ordered the fish which was also good. If you want ambiance, this is not the place.
Great Thanksgiving dinner!
We have eaten at Hurricane Patty's many times in the past but were not impressed this time. Three of our party of four ordered the prime rib and none of us enjoyed it. The vegetables were tough and impossible to chew.
I will return again for their seafood but never for a holiday meal.
Overall the food quality is superior. They do like their green peppers. Asked the server if the are in the crab dip and had a lengthy discussion about my dislike for green peppers. I ordered the lobster pasta dish and guess what there are green peppers in it. Not mentioned on the menu and it would have been nice if server would have given a heads up. Others ordered the special.of the day that includes desert. Server was ready to cash us out, we had to reminder her about the desert. Also had to reminder her a couple of times about drink refill requests. I will go back again but hope for more attentive service.
We enjoyed a wonderfullly delicious traditional Thanksgiving dinner out on the covered patio, served to us by a very attentive & friendly server. She took our drink orders immediately after being seated & was always watchful of our dining needs the entire time. We brought along our 160 lb Newfoundland dog, which the restaurant warmly welcomed & even cooked him a special hamburger on his own plate! We found the entire staff at Hurricane Patty’s to be excellent - it was a great place to have Thanksgiving Dinner.
I was out with family celebrating my Birthday. I would have given a 5 Star but I went there specifically for Oysters on the half shell, they didn’t have any! I was crushed. I probably should have called before we went and asked, but had I, I wouldn’t have experienced the time that we did have. I wound up getting the Muscles in the wine sauce which was very good along with a side of Garlic mashed potatoes, also good. My wife got wings and enjoyed them very much . My daughter got Clams and it has slipped my mind what my son - in -law got. The kids got chicken tenders and fries and we got several drinks and Beer to boot. Our bill Was just over a $100 including the drinks and a party of 6 , not bad! The waitress was cool and the Manager came by several times to check on us. We’ll be back, oh one more thing, their was a live band playing outside by the outdoor Bar! So cooool......
Service was excellent. The food was ok somewhat limited menu - a better restaurant for when the weather is nice. They had live music was fun and musician was very good
Amazing experience. I came from Miami and Jackie made my experience an amazing one. Very attentive and very professional.
Wasn't professional that the staff had a meeting at 5pm on a Sunday. Food was ehh and drinks weren't made well
So sad that this restaurant has fallen so far. Evidently under new management, the wait staff was uninterested, rude, and unwilling to help our very young and inexperienced waitress. They seated a party of 18 next to our party of four in a sparsely occupied venue.
We waited over an hour for our food. We were charged for our “free” appetizer. The food was so mediocre, the service so inept, it was almost unreal. Our poor waitress had no training and when she, and we tried to get help from one of the other 6 women working there, they were unhelpful and rude. I hope thy get it together , this is a fabulous location with formerly great local shrimp and fish. They need different staff, or a retraining.
Just happened to look up a local place to go. Was amazing. Service was great. Good food. Friendly people. Our new hangout.
Service was great. We ordered peel and eat shrimp from the Raw bar with a pitcher of beer. Our waitress served the pitcher with FROSTY glasses which was great and a huge improvement over the plastic cups they used to serve beer in. My only complaint is the shrimp were precooked and if you preferred to have them served hot they were reheated causing them to be overcooked and chewy. Next time I will try to order the steamed at the time of my order and see what happens...
Great dinner outside on the river deck. Food was delicious. Service was outstanding!
Seems you must catch this place on a good day., I have had both positive and negative experiences here. The last one however did it for us. We will NOT be patronizing here again anytime soon. Too bad too really like the venue 😟
Nice place in St. Augustine to enjoy.a dinner outside by the water. There is nothing fancy or pretentious about Hurricane Patty’s so it offers a nice casual dinning experience.
We started with a combination appetizer of fried alligator, crawfish and catfish. Honestly, not the best seasoned batter I’ve ever had. It needed some salt or some spice to give it a little life. It was good but not great.
For our entrees we went with the shrimp boil which was excellent. Everything on this plate was delicious. The shrimp is peel and eat so prepared to get a little messy.
The service was terrific.
The restaurant was about 1/2 full inside so the noise level was a little high but not too bad. We had 8 adults and an eight month old so contributed to the noise level a bit. It was a Saturday night so they had a live band outside and it was crowded outside with many people enjoying the music and outside bar service. Our service inside was excellent and the on floor Managers were vigilant making sure that everyone had whatever they needed. None of the eight adults in our party had a single complaint about their food and in fact, my brother in law stated that the Maine lobster he had was the best he has had since he moved to Florida six years ago. Quite an accomplishment as my brother and sister in law eat out at least twice a week and are accustomed to a wide variety of foods having lived in N.J. originally. I had the Maine lobster as well and it was delicious!!! I highly recommend this restaurant as the menu is quite varied with a lot of choices for everyone including the kids.
Loved it all but the oysters they were not very fresh
