No draft beer, cooler was broken. Crab cakes not good.
Bad service. We were in, our table was free but they didn't let us seat with no reason. 40 min waiting. Avoid this place
This is great local restaurant and their regular menu food is great. So I do recommend this restaurant for regular dining. However, their Thanksgiving meals were not good at all. The turkey dinner - turkey was dry and the green beans were raw and cold. We asked for extra gravy and never got it. The prime rib had no taste and a third of it was gristle, again green beans were raw and cold. There was one roll for two of us and no butter. they were really busy and probably got overwhelmed but we were very disappointed with our food.
I’m a local, so I know this place is iffy...but what can you do to Turkey? We were there on Thanksgiving and sat outside. Beautiful day and pretty good service. The traditional turkey dinner was awful: it didn’t even have the consistency of turkey; more like a turkey roll. Stuffing was gummy. Green beans were like rubber. Everything was over salted. And all for about $20. I certainly won’t back next year or maybe ever again. And they let people smoke on the outside patio fronting the parking lot even though there are signs that say no smoking.
I might recommend this restaurant for seafood. Looks like it could be a fun place to meet people.
Thanksgiving lunch with friends
Got prime rib....tough...potatoes were cold, green bean casserole beans were nearly raw....generally I like Hurricane Pattys...but this was a miss.
Friendly, prompt good food. Owner checked on us, server was very attentive.
I had family from out of town come in for the holiday and we had Thanksgiving lunch at Hurricane Patty’s. We had a wonderful time.
The service was fantastic, the view was beautiful and the food was delicious. Also, the man playing guitar and singing was very good, too.
I’ve lived her for 20 years and had never been there before. I’ll definitely be going back.
The food was good. However, once it came to the table it tasted and looked like it sat under a heating lap longer than intended. Also it seemed like the servers did not have the support they needed by peers or management when getting busy. The service could have been better if there wasn’t just one server working on the patio. Otherwise I would recommend this place if you are looking for a low key place on the water with live music.
The food was really not that great. The fries were soft.
Good food, great view
Great painkiller, Bloody Mary bar, crab cakes, and grouper sandwich. We loved the live music on Sunday during our lunch.
Although this was my first visit; if I lived closer I may visit more and try more of the menu.
Evidently this restaurant has been sold and there are new owners. Menu on website differs from menu in restaurant. Former owner has rights to it and will not let new owners update menu. Cool vintage seafood restaurant with a marina connected to it. Not what we were expecting but service was good. No one in the restaurant though on a Saturday night. Has potential but food choices and flavor need to be better.
The event was suppose to be for those who wanted lobster. We were the onl y ones eatimg q
loster........like a joke
This restaurant is a surprising "plus" on the casual dining scene in St. Augustine.. The food and service are very good and the atmosphere is relaxing and unpretentious. We enjoyed ourselves and are looking forward to our next experience.
Great place to go for good local seafood. Nice view on the water
Crab special was terrible. Service not the best. So very disappointing.
It's a Marina . Good food nice atmosphere cool people. Awesome pain killer drinks and One of the few places that actually have alligator. Definitely will be back when I'm in the area.
Looked for a place to go on opentable and decided to try hurricane patty’s. We made it just in time before a storm and was amazed watching it pass by. My husband had the swordfish and said it was the freshest piece of fish he has had in a while. Good food good service and will go back if we are in st Augustine again.
Worst crab legs I’ve ever had and no sides are served with it and no one told us that
Great place for drinks and appetizers. The Minorcan clam chowder, fried pickles, cheese bites, and fried shrimp were delicious. Wine by the glass was a generous pour, but the pina colada was weak and needed more rum. We’ll happily return the next time we’re in St A.
WE had a great time at Hurricane Patty's with 5 adults, 5 kids-on the south porch with the music.
Great food and drinks! There was live music on the patio.
The location, food, and service were excellent. Obviously, management decided local red necks were a better customer base than a half million tourist.
Service was slow. Food was hit or miss across our party of 8
Had reservations and wasn’t sat at table for 30 minutes past. Took 2 hours to get food once ordered. One of our meals was given to another table. Then later picked up and brought to our table. Won’t come back. Completely ruined our bday celebration for relatives that came from hours away for family dinner. None of the food came out together. Wish i could think of something positive to add. But can’t.
We have been to Hurricane Patty’s before and know it to be good for big groups. The service was fantastic- friendly, prompt, and super organized. The food was good for the pricing.
We were dining out with a total of 20 family members, so a lot to wrangle. We made reservations for 6, but forgot to specify inside as we have some heat sensitivity in our group.
When we arrived at 5:45 the hostess said if we want to be inside it will be 20-30 min wait. As a few of our group were late, we said that will work perfectly.
Then it was 40 minutes.
Our group was happy to drink at the bar and watch along the water, so we decided to stick it out.
At 2 hours past our reservation (1.5hrs past the originally adjusted time) I watched a hostess give one of our tables to be away.
Happily when this was brought to their attention there was some fast adjusting and we were sat.
All in all we had a great time.
Sadly, some of us missed our post dinner event due to a sever lack in communication.
We got our table immediately. Overlooking the Marina was perfect for us. The music was outside on the deck with their tiki bar so it was easy to talk inside and just as easy to go outside and listen to the music. All four in our party enjoyed the food and thought it was excellent
There was something wrong with 4 out of the 6 meals... wrong soup, hot butter served with raw oysters, marinara served with fried mahi, then we had to ask for horseradish, extra napkins and I went to a vacant table for hot sauce, salt and pepper. We had to remind the server of drink orders already placed. The large staff seemed to be inexperienced. Our server said the food problems were because it was the first day for the person in the kitchen. We live here and don't plan to come back.
We enjoyed our time there, they weren't all that busy? But the service was slow, she was a great "server "....even brought us a pitcher of water "I asked for" so she wouldn't have to run to death. The fish was perfect.
We waited 20 minutes and a server never came to our table. That should have been our clue, so my husband goes to hunt someone down to come serve us. It is another 5-7 min. Never got several things we ordered, never came back to check on us. And before the server ever came another server came and tried to give us another order. We toLd her we had never seen a server. And she didn’t send anyone. The server that came acted like he did t want to serve us and believe me he didn’t.
The. The order came and the food was awful. For filets of fish it was a big hunk and the “cole Slaw” was cabbage mix from a bag with no dressing on it. Never came back for us to try for something else or get him to bring some dressing for it. NEVER WAIST YOUR TIME OR MONEY FOR THERE.
Another couple that came in after we did left and we sure wished we had done the same.
Disgusting food, terrible service, horrible drinks and over priced. Has been shut down before, don’t waste your time.
Horrible experience, ordered appetizers and the waitress brought it with the main dish. The England clam chowder was ok. Ordered 3 more dishes but didn’t meet my expectations. We had to get up to get our own drinks (coca cola) and ice from the bar because the waitress wasn’t around. Very poor customer customer if any. Would not recommend this place.
We were there for the 4th of July. Sat outside, what a view!
Clearly the restaurant was not ready to handle rain, outdoor seating and reservations. The hostess was clearly out of her realm. She did not have control of the situations. We ended up waiting 1/2 hr past our reservation to be seated then another 20 minutes for someone to figure out we had not been waited on. Our waitress rocked it. She made a bad situation good. Food was excellent. They clearly need to get the reservation situation under control. Either take them or don’t. Then hire a hostess that knows how to handle the position. No sign of a manager anywhere.
Waitress MIA. Food sent back. Hurricane drink all ice. Beer warm. Found out the next day after looking at my bank account that they changed the tip amount. Never again. You should be ashamed to have them on open table. I should have listened to the reviews.
This was our first visit. Food was excellent. We had a new server, and the other servers - all of them - seemed distracted by another patron (perhaps another employee), who brought in a baby. Bar service was extremely slow, even though there were only two people seated at the bar. Again, the food was excellent, and I would recommend the crab cakes, but understand this is a LOCAL place and it caters to locals.
The Hurricane Shrimp appetizer was the best part of the meal. My husband & I ordered the snapper & it was tough & tasteless. Service was ok. Wouldn’t go back. Very disappointing since this was our first time in St Augustine. We drove all day & wanted something we could walk to from our hotel.
