We went on a Thursday night with our dog, so we were seated on the deck. We went principally because it was dog friendly and because of the name (I have a sister-in-law named Patty). We were the only people there. The food and the service were great. My husband had the minorcan clam chowder and the shrimp and cheesy grits. The shrimp and grits were so plentiful he took some home. I had three crab cakes with delicious Florida rice and Cole slaw. The crab cakes were a little dry.
Because it was dark, we didn’t get the benefit of the waterside setting. So the atmosphere was pretty drab. We’ll try it again for lunch.
Great shrimp and grits.
The best crab (real) dip in Northeast Florida!
Food was average. Service for ok. Price was average. Clientele upon entrance was poor, we were almost assaulted by someone who didn't care for the skin color of a member of our party
Great food, great environment. Our server Madison was fantastic! Music was very good but a bit loud as we were sitting close to the band. Overall, we will be going back.
New Year’s Eve meal special was excellent we were seated too close to the musical performance but got lucky just as our meal came they took a break.
Went there because my wife saw something she liked on menu online, but they don’t serve it anymore! She ordered a soup and it was cold. My shrimp dish had a large portion, but was a little bland. A dash of adobo, mojo or sofrito would’ve worked wonders on a dish that was listed as having “Caribbean spices”. Disappointing to say the least!
Server was not very attentive. Had to ask for straws, tea, booster seat, etc a number of times
Great waitress, food was ok.
Good for groups, friendly server, but waited way too long to order and to get our food
Terrific food. Wonderful local people. Old Florida style joint. We absolutely loved the place!
Christmas Eve. All our food was cold and terrible. It was very low quality, surprised to find this restaurant on Open Table.
Excellent seafood and reasonable prices. Portions are pretty big do go here hungry! Nice view of the creek.
This restaurant is the best! I found it randomly searching OpenTable. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by very friendly staff. The menu selection was awesome! There was so much to choose from! The drink menu is also extensive! The food was delicious! I definitely recommend this restaurant!!!
Sunday afternoon, food took forever to get, drinks watered down and place was not busy at all now I know why. First and last time visiting
No draft beer, cooler was broken. Crab cakes not good.
Bad service. We were in, our table was free but they didn't let us seat with no reason. 40 min waiting. Avoid this place
This is great local restaurant and their regular menu food is great. So I do recommend this restaurant for regular dining. However, their Thanksgiving meals were not good at all. The turkey dinner - turkey was dry and the green beans were raw and cold. We asked for extra gravy and never got it. The prime rib had no taste and a third of it was gristle, again green beans were raw and cold. There was one roll for two of us and no butter. they were really busy and probably got overwhelmed but we were very disappointed with our food.
I’m a local, so I know this place is iffy...but what can you do to Turkey? We were there on Thanksgiving and sat outside. Beautiful day and pretty good service. The traditional turkey dinner was awful: it didn’t even have the consistency of turkey; more like a turkey roll. Stuffing was gummy. Green beans were like rubber. Everything was over salted. And all for about $20. I certainly won’t back next year or maybe ever again. And they let people smoke on the outside patio fronting the parking lot even though there are signs that say no smoking.
I might recommend this restaurant for seafood. Looks like it could be a fun place to meet people.
Thanksgiving lunch with friends
Got prime rib....tough...potatoes were cold, green bean casserole beans were nearly raw....generally I like Hurricane Pattys...but this was a miss.
Friendly, prompt good food. Owner checked on us, server was very attentive.
I had family from out of town come in for the holiday and we had Thanksgiving lunch at Hurricane Patty’s. We had a wonderful time.
The service was fantastic, the view was beautiful and the food was delicious. Also, the man playing guitar and singing was very good, too.
I’ve lived her for 20 years and had never been there before. I’ll definitely be going back.
The food was good. However, once it came to the table it tasted and looked like it sat under a heating lap longer than intended. Also it seemed like the servers did not have the support they needed by peers or management when getting busy. The service could have been better if there wasn’t just one server working on the patio. Otherwise I would recommend this place if you are looking for a low key place on the water with live music.
The food was really not that great. The fries were soft.
Good food, great view
Great painkiller, Bloody Mary bar, crab cakes, and grouper sandwich. We loved the live music on Sunday during our lunch.
Although this was my first visit; if I lived closer I may visit more and try more of the menu.
Evidently this restaurant has been sold and there are new owners. Menu on website differs from menu in restaurant. Former owner has rights to it and will not let new owners update menu. Cool vintage seafood restaurant with a marina connected to it. Not what we were expecting but service was good. No one in the restaurant though on a Saturday night. Has potential but food choices and flavor need to be better.
The event was suppose to be for those who wanted lobster. We were the onl y ones eatimg q
loster........like a joke
This restaurant is a surprising "plus" on the casual dining scene in St. Augustine.. The food and service are very good and the atmosphere is relaxing and unpretentious. We enjoyed ourselves and are looking forward to our next experience.
Great place to go for good local seafood. Nice view on the water
Crab special was terrible. Service not the best. So very disappointing.
It's a Marina . Good food nice atmosphere cool people. Awesome pain killer drinks and One of the few places that actually have alligator. Definitely will be back when I'm in the area.
Looked for a place to go on opentable and decided to try hurricane patty’s. We made it just in time before a storm and was amazed watching it pass by. My husband had the swordfish and said it was the freshest piece of fish he has had in a while. Good food good service and will go back if we are in st Augustine again.
Worst crab legs I’ve ever had and no sides are served with it and no one told us that
Great place for drinks and appetizers. The Minorcan clam chowder, fried pickles, cheese bites, and fried shrimp were delicious. Wine by the glass was a generous pour, but the pina colada was weak and needed more rum. We’ll happily return the next time we’re in St A.
WE had a great time at Hurricane Patty's with 5 adults, 5 kids-on the south porch with the music.
