Located in East Norwich, Hunter Restaurant fuses Classic French Technique with the bold flavors and traditions of the Mediterranean. The chef driven menu, amplified by market inspired specials, transforms contemporary ingredients into modern expression. From the high sculpted walnut ceiling to the flowing serpentine Onyx bar, the restaurant is inviting and alluring. EVERYTHING WAS GREAT BUT THE NOISE LEVEL WAS HIGH AND THE DOOR LEADING OUT TO THE OUTDOOR PATIO HINDERED THE A/C FROM COOLING THE AREA WHERE WE SAT.

Food and service were perfect as always... the music was loud and had a deep bass drum to it and since it was a busy evening it made it almost impossible to have a good conversation and relax while dining. I love the restaurant but this aspect was frustrating. I hope they fix this! I want it to remain my favorite spot 💕

The minute you enter Hunter the Restaurant, the welcoming staff and stylish decor set the tone for a fabulous dining experience. Sliced baguette, green olives, prosciutto and fresh butter are delivered as you order aperitifs and peruse the menu. My husband and I shared the tuna tartare while waiting for our son to arrive and it was fresh and tasty. The menu choices were varied and appealing-I had the branzino which was exquisitely prepared and served atop a frisee salad with a lemon tomato tarragon concasse. We ordered the mashed potatoes to share and they were divinely creamy. My son had the strip steak “best” he ever had and my husband had the swordfish special-we were all very happy. For dessert we shared the profiteroles -a perfect finish to a great meal. Hunter came out himself to say hello and he is a humble and engaging chef. Thank you for a wonderful evening!
