Always a fabulous meal, wonderful service and elegant ambiance. A “must do” any time when in NYC if you’re not already a regular.
The atmosphere and food was amazing....We all loved it
The experience was so amazing! The food was superb, and the waitstaff made the meal even better!!!!! Incredible night!
I did not have a positive experience at this restaurant. We were going to see a show after dinner and the restaurant was so late to seat us that we were told we could only order from one side of the menu. One waitress told my friend who is gluten free that they had gluten free pasta - the next two waitresses came back to said they didn’t have GF pasta and never had. They offered no other options for my friend to order. Ultimately, she paid $28 to add grilled chicken to the smallest chopped salad I’ve ever seen. The staff was rude, pretentious and not knowledgeable about the menu. I would not return.
Don’t put two diners at a table right next to four diners. That ruined the atmosphere.
I can not say enough about this place. I arrived early and I sat at the bar. When my table was ready they notified me and the ambience of this place is amazing. The seating provides good spacing so you are comfortable. The servers were all professional and we had a great time. I left without paying for my bar drink and I called back the next day to satisfy the bill and I was told don’t worry about it, my happiness was more important to them. I will be a regular customer from now on and I want to thank my industry peer Curtis (50 Cent) Jackson for recommending this spot...
Not at all the experience I had hoped for...with a name like Hunt & Fish Club, I didn't expect a place that felt more like it should have a red light out front. I hate places that won't seat you until everyone is there (even if your guest got there a couple of minutes before you and has gone to the restroom). The very expensive food was uninspired...my appetizer, a thick piece of bacon, sounded exciting. It was far from it. For the price, I won't go back.
Be warnedIf you want to have a conversation this is not the place. They have an event room so while you are eatting your $200 per person steak people are tromping around going in and out very annoying.
If you want a scene with good but not great food in a beautiful place with a very busy but small bar then this is for you.
We had two martinis (really good and well poured), 2 appetizers, a tomahawk steak that needed salt badly, amazing grilled apsparagus and a great chocolate mouse cake plus two espressos for about $400 for two including tip.
So would recommend as loved simple classic steak and fish house but very pricey and noisy
The restaurant is beautiful but the food very mediocre and expensive. Absolutely not worth it. The staff was nice though and the service fine. Very overpriced.
Great food. Decent service. Definitely would visit again !
Everything about the restaurant was great. Food was delicious, our server (Rosa) was very attentive & helpful with the menu, & atmosphere was welcoming. Will be returning.
We were sent to Siberia - a room in back that was barely used. None of the ambiance of the main room. The music was on loud (they did turn it down for us) - '80s soundtrack, awful. Food was good.
Our visit was before going to the theatre. This was an elegant dining experience. The staff is professional and the food excellent.
It was all ok till I got home and found out that Anthony Scaramucci is the owner. I would never have gone, if I knew. I don’t intentionally support slime. Never again!
Very over-priced and food was only fine. Service is at best ok. I would not go back.
AC way to cold.
Everything was terrific, food and service. Really enjoyed our experience.
One of the best places I have ever eaten! My sister and I went there after seeing a play and had a wonderful time! Service was great and the food was amazing! Highly recommend and plan to go back next time in NYC!
Had dinner here before a broadway show, and it was excellent all around: great food, great service, and great atmosphere. Good pre-theater restaurants are hard to find, and this one is a gem. I'll definitely be back!
Food was delicious. Great location for pre theater. Entrees took a while to come out however we were on time for the show. I would defiantly go back
My husband and I visited this restaurant last night as it was our wedding anniversary. The food was amazing and so was the service. Would definitely come back!!
Everything was excellent, had a great time and a wonderful experience
Birthday Celebration ....excellent service phenomenal food ... Five stars for sure 🙌🏽
It was a really strong eating experience. I have heard about this place from colleagues and friends alike but took awhile to try. I assumed it would be more pretentious feeling just by glancing in the times I’ve passed it by on 44th, but the mood was set perfectly to my taste. New age hip hop vibe. We did king crab, bone marrow, pappardelle (off the charts surprisingly at a fish seafood joint) and the Japanese scallop dish). Perfect for two I’d prob switch up bone marrow and scallops next time not bc bad but rest of menu looked great.
Solid choice and we were out of there with those dishes and half bottle of wine between us for 190
Very good service and excellent meal.
Great location for business meetings great staff.
Outstanding food and impeccable service!
Absolutely beautiful room, The seafood salad appetizer was excellent, but the rest of the meal was mediocre. I Was expecting much more from a chef of his pedigree. Unfortunately the service, or lack thereof, was very disappointing also. Our waitress was very abrupt and we hardly saw her at all during the night. Our water glasses were empty most of the night and she never came back to ask if we wanted more wine when our entrees arrived. Such a shame that a restaurant of this caliber failed so miserably on providing service that should come natural!!
Also, they did not have our 7:30 reservation which we made in open table and I received a confirmation from open table that I had modified my reservation to 7:30 (originally 7:00) - very disappointing night all around from restaurant experience and from open table not updating my reservation but sending me a confirmation email that I did modify it!!
Food was great. Hard to hear.
Beautiful restaurant interior. Wonderful service and the food was great. We'll plan to visit HFC on our next trip to New York.
We came for the popovers ... and stayed for a second bottle of Montrachet. We were exceptionally well attended through four exceptional courses. Do not miss the pasta course (err for the spicy crab spaghetti), the Brooklyn-style pork chop (who would have guessed) and the whole head-on presentation of grilled branzino. Do not forget this is one of the best steakhouses in the city. And they serve popovers.
Amazing! Fabulous food, service, everything was wonderful! Highly recommend this place!
We took out-of-town guests for dinner. It was a quiet Sunday night in the dining room. We ordered the ribeye and everyone raved about the food. Our friends declared HFC a new favorite in NYC.
The whole ex
Food and service were both of top quality, in a pleasant atmosphere. The staff seemed proud of the restaurant and that they sincerely wanted us to enjoy our meal. The food was nicely flavored and excellently prepared. I look forward to getting to go back again.
Great Restaurant and Delicious Food. Attentive staff. Timing on entree service was a little delayed though. Wish those high-end restaurants would adhere to some kind of Dress Code now a day. People dining in Denim and Baseball Caps.
Good food and service. However very overpriced and small portions. Will not go back
It was wonderful from start to finish! Very expensive but Food was fresh, well prepared and delicious!
