Service was excellent in the beginning then our waitress got a big table and forgot about us. Husband got the jerk chicken tasted like BBQ chicken not at all like Jerk. Plus it was not cooked all the way through :/ told the waitress and she was afraid to tell the chef. Lol

I took my in-laws out for a much deserved dinner along with my wife. All of the food was fantastic, the drinks were top-notch and the service was beyond great. A truly great place.

Heard about Honky Dory and its great reviews. However, despite making a reservation (and the restaurant only being half full when we arrived), we still had to wait an additional 15 minutes to be seated.

We ordered items off the brunch menu (bananas foster pancakes and eggs benedict) and waited OVER an hour to receive our order. My friend waited nearly 20 minutes just to be served a cup of coffee, which seemed ridiculous considering the place wasn't busy.

To add insult to injury, when our food finally arrived, it was COLD.

We informed our server, who only shrugged her shoulders and said sorry. She did nothing to try and make the situation better (i.e. take an item off the bill or offer a discount).

I will never go back to Hunky Dory, and will not recommend it to anyone I know. The food would have been delicious had it been served hot. We felt like we had been totally ripped off considering the absurd wait times, disinterest of the waitstaff, and high prices.

Next time I want eggs benedict, I'll make them myself.

The food took over an hour to arrive and the waitress ignored us for most of that time. We also got sat 20 minutes after our reservation. Food was subpar. Probably won't be going back. The place has gone down hill since it opened.

While holiday brunches are always busy taking an hour and twenty minutes to be served is unacceptable.

The real issue was the Managment team. When diners are waiting over an hour to be served you should may offers or at least provide basic service. Our glasses were never refilled and the wait staff only came to the table at our request to get an update (40 minutes and 1 hour after our order). We requested a manager when we finally got our entrees but no one showed

We dined here three times in the last year, while I find the food to value acceptable,it is unlikely we will return.

The restaurant has declined, and we probably won't return. It took 30 minutes for our main course to come out of the kitchen after the appetizers (they forgot to bring the salad). The food was good but nothing special (a departure from the past). The server was asked to box one of the plates and forgot to bring it to us when we left). It is no longer a British-themed menu, although the food selection is interesting. We're trying to come up with a good reason why we should return.

The first time I went to this restaurant it was very busy and the ambiance was very nice. My steak was prepared as requested and the overall experience was great. Six months later, I came back on a saturday evening and the place was half full. The food was not prepared to my expectations and over priced ($26 for a chicken breast and two legs). There is a reason why the place is half full on a Saturday. Get a clue and improve the quality or you will be out of business soon...

For a first time visit I expected a little better experience considering the facility and the head chef. Brunch food was not as anticipated. The eggs in the crawfish scramble were runny, the crawfish lacked any flavor and the kitchen used large chunks of bell pepper as a filler in the hash. The only upside was the flavor of the meat in the hash. Needless to say if we go back, it will be a while.

Good food and service but felt that the ambience was not what I remembered from previous visits. I remember loving the music being played during previous visits; heavy on 70s era British glam rock that fit the theme and ambience; tonight it was 90s rock played too loud.

Was very underwhelmed. Food was good but forgettable. Way overpriced for what you get. The patio backs up to a business that was running a fork lift back and forth while we were trying to enjoy our night away from kids. Our server was very nice and served us well. Wish I would have gotten his name.

We went in with the thought that this was the more casual (and maybe a little more affordably priced) sister to Bernadine's next door, when in fact they are not. More casual in decor and service only, but everything else leaned towards high-end dining. The food was good (nothing to get too excited about), service was great, but can't understand how they justify the price tag attached.

Starting with the positives: we were seated promptly, greeting was friendly and our server was attentive and knowledgeable.
Negatives: Grilled octopus appetizer had a nice flavor but was tough (this was the highlight of the meal). Carpaccio was flavorless. I had the jerk chicken - nothing remarkable. Husband had the prosciutto wrapped snapper - the flavor combination just didn't work. Maybe the prosciutto overpowered the fish? Not sure, but again, not remarkable.
Overall, we were disappointed in the meal. Not sure we will be back, but hope they can turn it around. It's a great location and their outdoor patio looks lovely.

Been here several times and never disappointed. Was in on a Monday night and had really super burger, fries and beer for $15. Also had a couple of tasty cocktails and we shared a strawberry shortcake for dessert. We were in early so it wasn't very crowded and the weather was fabulous so we enjoyed our meal "al fresco."

My bride and I have had two excellent experiences in the past two weeks at Hunky Dory - great food, great ambiance, super service. The hard working folks we interfaced with were just terrific and upbeat, and they deserve our support. Show up, sit down, eat and drink.

The craft cocktails were PERFECT!!! Lady Penelope is my favorite. My mother and I split several dishes. Strawberries and Buratta, Hibachi Crudo, Hanger Steak a few selective sides and Blueberry Rhubarb crumble for dessert. When we left, we needed a wheel barrel and a pillow. We will definitely be back!!! Chef Graham remastered this menu!

Perhaps I had too high of hopes for Hunky Dory, but I was disappointed with the food. The quality of the ingredients was obvious, but I felt like the meal as a whole missed the mark -- maybe it needed more seasoning? We all ordered different things, and each person at the table felt the same way. The portions were also pretty small for what we were paying for.

That aside, the service was excellent and the interior was beautiful. They had a good wine list, too. The only reason I don't recommend it is because I feel that there are better choices in the area.

It took a while for us to get our drinks. My dad received his wine and about 20 minutes later, the rest of us got our cocktails. Once the waiter took our order, everything smoothed out from there. If the service would've been timely, the experience would've been great. Food was outstanding and our waiter was very nice.

This was our third visit to Hunky Dory and it did not disappoint. The crawfish bisque was one of the best, if not the best, I've ever had. My grouper was fantastic and the scallops were also good though a bit lukewarm (they are paired with cold potato salad, so that may be why, but still, they should plate the scallops separately to live up to the rest of the meal. By the way, the bread is well worth ordering. Craft cocktail was refreshing and the wine list is interesting and decently priced. The ambiance is fun; some might find it a bit noisy though we were easily able to converse. Service is polished and attentive. Highly recommended.

Second time to dine here and the very simple menu continues to impress. We had four in our group and everyone was impressed with the food. The highlights were the grilled Caesar salad, the scallops, grouper and hanger steak and the pot de creme for dessert (I wouldn't recommend the carrot cake-dry and lacked flavor). The problem on this visit was the service. The waiter was very nice but seemed to have either too many tables to cover or lacked organizational skills. There were delays between courses but the real surprise was we must have waited 20 minutes to get our check--one would have thought they would want us out of there for the table. Oh, the noise level really picks up when the place is full, if that is a problem, go early. All in all we will be back.

Hunky Dory's conversion to a neighborhood steak house has a way to go. Found the steak just average in taste, and at $42 for a ribeye was certainly no bargain. We would rather pay a few dollars more and go to one of the well known steak restaurants. The wine list was OK, but prices were certainly higher than the Clark Cooper restaurants that we like. I hope that this restaurant with a neighborhood feeling will get over it's change quickly.
