We are offering a tasting menu consisting of 12 courses and made with the freshest ingredients from day to day.

Our cuisine is based on the interpretation of the Mayan culture, starting from something real; using modernity and tradition as tools, as well as the unique ingredients that we have in the region.

Giving a sensation of a Yucatan up to date both in flavor, space and land. A kitchen whose main concept is dynamism and interaction without barriers, without rules, where they frequently worked with producers from the peninsula.

La mayoría de los platillos no tienen un buen balance de sabores muchos de ellos están muy salados y no hay contrastes de sabores, algunos platillos simplemente parecen pretenciosos sin enfocarse realmente en la combinación de sabores y resultado final. El concepto es interesante pero creo que les falta perfeccionarlo. Los platillos que si nos encantaron fueron la flauta de hoja santa y el venado. Hay varios detalles que mejorar, definitivamente el precio no refleja la calidad de la cocina. En la reservación puse que celebrábamos nuestro aniversario y se hizo caso omiso de este detalle.

Huniik was a unique experience, indeed. The thoughtfulness of the decor inside to accent the Mayan theme and the outstanding presentation of every single dish was extraordinary. We just happen to get a reservation on the eve of a Mexico national holiday, and we had the entire restaurant to ourselves. Couple that with the ability to walk to the open kitchen and speak one on one with the chef helped make this truly an amazing evening. Not to mention the welcome cocktail you are presented upon entering! The service was outstanding. We had Curi (pronounced “Surrey”), who was one of the most kind and wonderful servers we’ve encountered in restaurants. She is studying to be a Sommelier, and therefore had wonderful recommendations for our wine pairing. If I could give it 10 stars out of 5, I would!

Yes it is pricey at $200 per person, but…. We were greeted with complementary cocktails that were delicious. The service was second to none. And the food… was definitely an experience that I will not soon forget. There were to be 12 courses but got served more as they had obtained some fresh prawns from the Celestine coast that day. The deserts… were AMAZING! I have to say they were my favorite part of the meal. They were surprising in both look and taste. The portions were perfect for the amount of courses served. By the end of the experience you are definitely done with food for the day. Come hungry and prepare to drop a pretty penny for a beautiful experience of flavors from the region of Yucatán, prepared in a way that only a master chef could. Well done! Also, if you are curious about the space and feel of the place there is a bar in the back were you can enjoy cocktails and an appetizer or two.

A must culinary experience in Merida. This experience will engage your senses. We were at awe in how the chef walks you through the Yucatecan cuisine, and the attention to detail. The service was phenomenal our server Sire provided us with ample explanations and recommendations. We will be back ❤️

We were in Huniik 2 years ago in Mérida, shortly after it opened, and are delighted to say the restaurant is still at the very high standard we experienced then. Imaginative and sometimes entertaining, the food excelled in every course as before. Wonderful atmosphere and service with full views of the excellent kitchen as before. It's like you're sitting in a friend's kitchen(who's a fantastic chef!).

The restaurant is very nice, the food is very interesting just everything was a bit too salty (i like salty food, but here i think the saltiness was a bit oveprowering)
