Excellent experience. View fantastic. Food delish.
Delicious food! I had fish with pearl couscous that was wonderful. Husband and son had short ribs that we all could not get enough of (and they are on the kid’s menu as well as adult). We had requested an outdoor table but were seated inside. That being said, we still had a great view of a stunning sunset!
Anthony east our server and bartender; he was very personable.
I do not think the buffet is worth the amount they charge. Plus the policing of people taking used plates back to the Buffett and people eating while using the buffet and then touching serving utensils is not happening. Not sure if the employees are
Empowered to make that call or not! Certainly made me steer away from using the buffet.
Didn’t have a great seat. In a high traffic area. Had potstickers which mostly tasted like dough. Main dishes were ok. Nothing special. Desert was a nice pineapple cobbler with ice cream. Service was below avg. Overall just average and a bit pricy. Wouldn’t go again. Other better options in Maui. Should be more variety and better options at this property for a Marriott.
I was so looking forward to dining here but overall it was a huge disappointment. The descriptions of entrees sounded wonderful...just poor execution I guess. Consequently, not worth the price.
We had been to HMK twice when visiting in November. We brought our friends and we drove from Ka’anapali. Tracy was our server and she was excellent. Made great conversation and recommendations.
The food was excellent and worth the drive from anywhere on Maui.
We had the steam monchong, misoyaki butterfish and the kau kau combo special of braised short ribs and Kauai shrimp.
We enjoyed the chocolate tower and upside down pineapple dessert with ice cream
I highly recommend HMK if you desire a great meal, great service and great ambiance!
Last night of our family vacation in Maui, beautiful
Service was terrible. Food was not good as expected. Not worthy to have Roy’s name attached to it.
Thanks for the delicious food and service.
Food was delicious and the service was fantastic. Can’t wait to come back!
If we were comparing to other restaurants the score would be higher but we were comparing to humble market itself. We came for lamb chops and surf and turf . Steak was outstanding however lamb chops was disappointing as apparently receipt has changed as well as seafood very plain. Had we not dined here before the score would have been higher but we were expecting the same quality
Beautiful resultant with a great view!! Had a wonderful meal and great service. The filet was done perfectly and the vegan tofu stir fry was delicious! Molten lava cake was also incredible.
Fish entrees are very over priced and are marginal at best. We love Roy’s but this was disappointing to say the least.
Food was excellent. Tonya our server did a fantastic job. Definitely a keeper to go to in Wailea.
Our server Tara was excellent. Very high class yet very friendly and easy to talk to. She was very helpful when I mentioned I avoid dairy, gluten and soy. The chef was able to accommodate me with no problem.
The view was spectacular and the ambiance was the perfect mix of classy and relaxed. We had the sashimi sampler with very large cuts of fish. Big portions, perhaps just a bit clunky and lacking delicacy which is my only criticism. We also had the brussel sprout and cauliflower appetizer which was spectacularly seasoned and dressed.
My husband had the ramen entree and WOW, what a larger portion. He said it was one of the best raman dishes he's every had. I had a snapper with the lemongrass and thai curry preperation and it was absolutely delicious. The fish was done well and the veggies were the perfect compliment. Well seasoned and flavored.
We would highly recommend this place.
Three of us got a great table on the terrace with terrific ocean view. We saw several whales in the distance. Excellent service After drinks we had several appetizers, salad and shared a fish. Desert was excellent
Great as always and will definitely return. So many great selections.
I made reservations at 6 on the lanai so we could watch the sunset. This was also Happy Hour which was very well attended. This made the inside dining quite noisy. The lanai was less noisy and had a spectacular view. The specialty cocktail list was nice and we enjoyed our drinks. The menu had a nice variety of fish, lamb and beef. I had the opakapaka (a very generous portion) on a king crab risotto. OH MY!!! And of course we topped off dinner with the world famous Chocolate Souffle. The service was friendly and spot on. Our water glasses were filled constantly.
20 year wedding anniversary celebration with family
We had a wonderful dinner with friends at Humble Market Kitchen. One of us had a salad for an entre which was large, one the short ribs, one the lamb and I had a half salad and the tofu stir fry on the vegetarian menu (which you need to ask for) as I am a vegan. All of the food was fabulous. Our server did a great job. The wine was also great.
Perfect end to our stay in Hawaii! We are here every morning for a phenomenal breakfast and chose to eat their for dinner on the last night looking at the subset! It was very romantic and our food was AMAZING! Absolutely loved!
Appears to be well thought out, but upon delivery of my main course, the server said take care the plate is hot, the fish was lukewarm, and the risotto was on the cold side, the plate was not hot. This informs me the server has no empathy, simply doing a routine, not thinking.
The waiter promptly took it back, recooked it, replated it to how it was supposed to be plated. I ate after my other 5 dinner companions had finished. They did not charge me for the plate, which was nice, but the experience was not a good one for the price we paid them for the experience. Too bad, expected perfection from Roy....
It was SO noisy!. And slow service& kitchen. My sashimi was excellent, and a large portion. Eventually, entrees came. And they were cold. 👎 The shrimp were marginal, a little old, a little overdone. My fish, again not hot , was just ok. A lame wine list for a premier restaurant. (Did I mention that my waiter dropped a platter nearby which made a huge noise?)
Couldn't leave fast enough.
Food was really greasy and, for the price, not so good. The pool bar & grill ("Kapa") at the Marriott was better and cheaper - we'll go there from now on (even better atmosphere).
Delicious and expensive.
Too expensive for quality of food
Everything was impeccable about the dinner. The food, service and view. I don’t normally order lamb but the rack of lamb was to die for. They make a great Old Fashioned as well.
Incredible views! Amazing food and service! Highly recommend!
The rack of lamb was incredible. View of the sunset over the ocean was spectacular. Recommend the Bulleit Rye Old Fashioned. Everything was made perfect.
Terrific Maui sunset. Happy Hour at the Bar with cold beer and delicious appetizers. Great pricing during Happy Hour too. The scampi with noddles was excellent and the Caesar salad and cauliflower and Brussels sprouts were fresh and hot. What a sunset from this location too. Servers are friendly and attentive.
Great food but way too salty. Our son did not like the chicken wings and everything was okay but could be better with less salt.
Delicious fresh catch and choices of local fish, mouth watering ribs, generous portions. Try and sit on patio for sunset ocean views and whale watching. Staff friendly and accommodating, environment casual. As with most restaurants in the area try and stick to home grown or caught choices. Expensive but much better value than other upscale restaurants especially those at the Four Seasons.
Great patio, amazing sunsets, great cocktails, accommodated our kids - one of our best meals in Maui- definitely will be back
Pricey but mediocre food and service. Did not honor searing request, Caesar salad looked like it came out of a bag and was sent late. Not worth the money.
