Food was great...Eggs Benny with Rancheros side was FANTASTIC! and the eggs in Not too Light were perfect.

The trivia nights at Hugs and Sarcasm is so good! We go basically every week - a nice mix of a bit competitive but still fun. Based on the regulars also in attendance, many teams must agree with us.

Well, I didn't have to go upstairs to sit at the bar, but I had my favourite front patio (not the sidewalk extension for the Queen Street Patio Experience. I told Kate that the new menu (content and printing) were excellent. I tried a new salad with halloumi cheese—good, but not my favourite, which is the Greek salad—I said there was too much dressing—I like anything with beetroot in it—I say beetroot being from East Sussex, whereas here it is called beets. The Stephen's martini was welcome and delicious, as was the Pinot Grigio that came with the salad. I expect to come on Mother's Day. Excellent staff! Excellent service! THANK YOU FOR ASKING. Visit the website; look at the menu; and book a visit: the proof of the sticky toffee pudding is in the eating thereof.

Waited over 40 mins to be asked if we wanted drinks - to be fair the waitress prob assumed we wanted to wait for the third person. Also felt bad for her as everything required her to go down the stairs to get. Having said that- had to ask for utensils to stir the coffee, never came back to ask us if we wanted drink refills, and we were asking for basic things but we had to ask for everything as nothing was assumed. I ordered the pancakes with Raspberries on the side- and they were the driest pancakes and every few bites was a big hit of salt, as clearly the batter wasn’t mixed well. Overall a disappointment and would not go back.

Hi Kayla Thank you for taking the time to leave a detailed review, I am sorry that you did not enjoy the food we would have not charged you for it had I known at the time. Admittedly this was a bad day for us unfortunately in the 20+ years I have experienced a few days where everything that could go wrong does, we learn what we can and change what we can for the next service. With that in mind I have spoken to the staff and reiterated the importance of checking in with customers even when they are waiting for guests to make sure that their experience is a good one, refresher training is also being scheduled If you would be willing to give us a second chance I would love to show you what we can do.
