About Hugo's Frog Bar & Fish House - Chicago
After years of searching far and wide for a location to open the follow-up restaurant to the highly successful Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse, owners Hugo Ralli and Steve Lombardo found what they were looking for right under their noses. In February of 1997 they launched the seafood companion to the Chicago legend they had created with Gibsons and named it Hugo's Frog Bar & Fish House. The restaurant is dedicated to the same principles as its predecessor, unbelievable portions, value and quality coupled with memorable service.

Hugo's Frog Bar & Fish House - Chicago Ratings and Reviews
Was visiting Chicago for the weekend and a friend recommended this restaurant. I was not disappointed! Food was good and service was top notch! The wait staff was wonderful! Right up there with the best. My daughter was celebrating her 20th birthday and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. A must visit!
We have gone to Hugo's every New Year's Eve for 10 years and this was the 1st time I have left a negative review. My salmon was over cooked and at a seafood restaurant I would have expected better. Also, we had not finished our salad when the entrees arrived. Will think again before returning.
A very surprising great meal - had no idea how big the place is. Great menu for steaks and seafood. Had the whole lobster that had a great crab stuffing. The seared tuna was perfect & quite a portion. Big desserts too! Pecan pie was crunchy & not over-sweet. The wait staff is bery professional & great at their craft. We hope to be back next time visiting Chicago.
Amazing everything - The bartenders know how to make a drink here! Waiters are wonderful, they don't rush you and they keep checking back on you. Good at reccomendations if you want to try new things. Food is outstanding, you do not leave hungry. Be careful for the desserts, they are mile high!
Wonderful dinner experience! Started with the escargots, then Hugo's legendary Alaskan crab legs. A cappuccino to top it all off. Food and service were impeccable. It can get noisy at times, but the hubbub is a happy one — everyone in the restaurant (packed to the rafters) was obviously enjoying themselves. And I like the nautical/fishing decor!
