We had the pleasure of enjoying the Chef’s Tasting Menu. We didn’t know what to expect but we were pleasantly surprised - it was amazing. The flavors, the wine pairings and especially the service. The service blew us away. Everyone was so friendly and made us feel special. I think the only thing that could have made it better was smaller portion sizes, so we could enjoy each course more fully. We highly recommend Hugo Frog’s to anyone who wants an exceptional dining experience.
The food was amazing, but this was hands down the worst steakhouse service I’ve ever received. Hugo’s needs to step up the quality of servers they hire. It’s no wonder there was only 3 tables seated in the dining room at 8pm on a Friday night.
Great meal, great service, great experience!
Food was good but definitely much overpriced for what you get.
The casino figures once they got you inside the building that people are willing to pay whatever they want to charge. I definitely will NOT be coming back that is for sure. There are too many other much better restaurants around in the area and at half the prices that they charge at the Frog.
Absolutely amazing service! The food was excellent! Portion sizes were huge, had we known, we would have ordered one side. We now have lunch for tomorrow though, which is awesome!
We went during the last night of restaurant week and did not have high expectations. Several of us ordered the filet expecting it to be tiny. It was in fact much larger than we anticipated. Great overall dining experience
service was great, but the steak was barely warm..it was the same night as an eagles game, so i suspect the kitchen was overwhelmed..still expect more from a $65 steak
It was a very good experience. I attended for dinner week so I only tried the dinner menu I had the steak it was on point cooked to perfection. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends.
Our dinner for three was 2/3 fine. Good salads, delicious lobster bisque, delightful calamari appetizer. My companions loved their meal but I asked for a steak pink no blood and they cooked it super well done. I waited two years to go here and order a filet and they cooked it to death. VERY disappointed.
Food was sub par....... unwilling to give better options for peanut allergy. Filet looked and taste like Salisbury steak. Charged my card wrong and now I have a 100 hold on my credit for 3 days and upon calling they apologized and requested I call back in 3 days to see if it cleared up..........no customer service.
Our server Joe was fantastic. The restaurant is beautiful And the staff was terrific.
But in all honesty my steak was not as good as I thought it was going to be.
I’m honestly had a better steak at Longhorn for much less of a price. We did attend an event (HAVEN...Society Hill) we Your chef cooked my fillet table side. It was so tender I cut it with my fork. This file was just not up to par. I didn’t send it back because everybody else’s food was terrific.
Excellent food and service! Steaks are overpriced but enjoyed every bite!
Great experience. The food was delicious and Derrick our server made sure we had everything we needed.
We had a great night at Hugo’s. I must say that the wait staff was outstanding. They couldn’t have been better. Our servers were friendly, attentive, quick, polite, and just fantastic. We never wanted for anything. Our water glasses were never empty. We had a staff of over 5 servers for our 10 party table. We were not rushed. We didn’t have to wait long for anything. Service was always with a smile and they joined in on our celebration. The food was good but just way too pricey. It was good but I’ve had better and for much less money. I wish i could have given a bigger tip but the food cost so much that the already included gratuity was also quite high. So I Hope they weren’t disappointed that we didn’t add on any extra. All in all a great experience but the prices need to be reconsidered to make it perfect.
This was our 4th or 5th visit to Hugo’s. The food is always good here, and the menu is very creative - try the garbage salad! The service tonight was awful! We felt like they couldn’t wait for us to leave!
No bread. Waiter rushed us to order drinks and food right away. Water was never refilled. Bus boy tried to take my plate with one scallop clearly left to eat. The manager dropped off the check before we finished entrees. No offer of dessert or coffee! WTF? We heard the dessert menu recited around us - but for some reason they wanted us out.
On the way out another manager made minimal apologies, but no explanation - it’s not like they had a lot of people waiting. Maybe they are motivated to get people back to the tables? In any case, we won’t be back any time soon.
This is a steakhouse, but we went with appetizers, sandwiches and salads. The food was good and the salads were great! The service was good in the beginning, but later we were just about finished eating and we still hadn’t been served our round of drinks. We notified the Manager, who was extremely professional and nice. She had our drinks delivered immediately. Thanks to Dominique, we ended up having an enjoyable dining experience.
Food was delicious, service was slow. Had to beg for the check. Asked if they had sangria, instead of saying no, the bartender concocted something with grapefruit juice in it. Awful. Sent it back. Prices are high, but that's to be expected if they are going to be able to pay their rent, LOL
Filet day was excellent. Loved the price point with the vegetable. The gravy was amazing.
I brought my fiancee here for the first time on the both of our birthdays. She enjoyed the atmosphere, the ambiance, and the food! We will definitely be back and we've already recommended this place to some of our close friends and family.
Anniversary... Food was great and served hot and quick... tasted amazing
Good food, good service. Friendly staff.
The wait staff was very slow, even though the place was almost empty. We ordered a calamari starter, which was breaded, over cooked, and doused in a sweet, greasy sauce. I love calamari, but the three grown ups at the table couldn’t manage a quarter of the dish. My mother ordered sea bass, which was the only decent thing at the table, but cost $48. I ordered the 26 oz porterhouse, which was cooked rare instead of medium well. The sides were also badly done and overpriced. I wouldn’t go back there.
Love having lunch there. It's quiet and the service is friendly and excellent.
I have been here over a dozen times, the oysters are always fresh, the drinks are always cold, the steaks are always perfect, and the staff is ALWAYS amazing!
I must start with the food was extremely good. The manager tall dark skin man was very welcoming. Our waiter well he left much to be desired. He never asked us if this was our first time dining there. He asked what would we like to drink and I guess me saying just water and my husband asking what kind of beer was on tap made the waiter think we couldn't afford to be there. He said very stern "WE DON'T HAVE BEER ON TAP" My husband then asked what kind of beer do they have. He took my order stuffed flounder then my husband ordered the Porterhouse. All he asked was how did you want your steak cooked. He started to leave the table now him knowing nothing comes with the steak he didn't bother to ask what sides or which Porterhouse. So I told my husband to pick his sides he picked the mash potatoes and spinach. He walked away so fast so we called him back over to say the 26oz. Then I said I'll take a side as well never telling us the sides are big enough to share. The food came out perfectly cook. While eating I saw a waitress walking by with this tower of ice cream. So she said to me its an ice cream sundae. So when he came back to the table to ask if we need boxes I said yes. He came back with the boxes and a check. I said I would like some dessert. He went to get me a dessert menu. My husband said, "he's been wanting to bring that check to us forever". My husband asked for the men's room. He replied, "I don't know where it is" We thought that's strange a restaurant with no bathroom. But the bathroom was out on the casino floor. I felt like he didn't tell us because he thought we would leave without paying. Anywho out comes my ice cream sundae that looked nothing like the sundae I had saw. So he asks, "did you want the cherries and whip cream" I said yes he took the ice cream back and then dressed it up. I just thought it odd that he didn't ask when he took the order. Again the food was amazing, the manager who was very inviting but the waiter needs work.
Food wasn't good. For the money that was charged I could've went somewhere else. Overrated. Cream spinach was cold and horrible tasting. I will not go back there to eat.
The food is amazing. This is my second time going and I have yet to taste anything that was not absolutely delicious. I don’t think many people know how good the food is because it’s never busy when I go. I think they should definitely advertise more. The restaurant is nice and clean on the inside, with nice low lighting, live soft music. The only thing was our server was kind of sluggish but she was still kind and courteous though. If you haven’t already you must give this place a try.
Was looking for a decent restaurant but not super expensive. Didn’t realize from Open Table that the place was part of Sugar House casino. The noise level wasn’t bad. Food was pretty good. Filet was excellent. Lobster bisque fair. Wouldn’t get it again. Service excellent.
We have not been very happy with the food and service since Pino left. But that all changed this time! Food was incredible and Antoinette was terrific. If you are wanting a steak and not some piece of crap cheap meat, Hugo’s has it. Since we can’t fly to Chicago for dinner, this is the closest thing to Gibson’s!!
The music was a little loud in the bar area, but not too bad.
The food was superb Joseph my waiter was wonderful will be back very soon
Went for a anniversary with the Mrs. Had reservations , was promptly seated. Waiter was good, food came fast. Portions we're good. Frogs legs were delicious. Would go again, prices were decent.
Had some concerns about food but mostly service was poor never questioned price food came out at different times some not right questionable quality and wrong items , no service follow up for a 7 person business meeting. Hoping management makes it right since we spoke to them today will keep posted or update.
Reservation for 7. We were sat around 730. The food was great. Service was slow. Not sure if she was swamped or what.
Service was horrible and managers made no effort to correct once they were informed. Extremely disappointing as we used to eat there quite often.
We found the service to be sub par ... especially for a restaurant with such high pricing. The food was mediocre, at best. We saw staff everywhere but no one seem to know what they were doing. Steak was poor quality and overcooked and the cream spinach was more of a soup. A table of 6 next to us received all their meals for free due to such poor service and quality of food.
No, we will not return and would not recommend it to anyone.
The food was quite good. The services was friendly and professional but the very, very slow.
I would recommend Hugo's to all my frog legs friends!
Joseph was our server and was really good!
Fantastic food, always a great experience!
It is a cozy restaurant for a date occasion, the food is unique some items taste different from others but we enjoyed the food
