Michael was our waiter. He was great! We had a great experience thanks to him. He answered all of our questions and checked up on us frequently.
The service was poor at best. At one point, the server vanished for over 20 minutes. The steaks however tasty not worth the money.
Best ribeye steak I ever had. My dates filet minion was also great. Nice atmosphere, but very pricey.
A true steakhouse with big beef choices and many good options for those with more realistic appetites. Po boys, sliders, appetizers and side dishes for two are reasonably priced and delicious. (Try the avocado and crab app!) The desserts are HUGE, plan on taking 1/2 home, at least.
We had a wonderful time at Hugo’s. The food, service and everything was perfect. Much thanks to Dominique at Hugo’s and our lovely server who treated us so well. The scallops were delicious and the burger was the best ever.
They could not get my steak medium rare . For a place this nice I was very disappointed.
We decided to try Hugo's for our Anniversary. I ordered the T-bone steak and my husband ordered the filet. They were cooked perfectly. We had a side of mushrooms that was delicious. Fresh bread and butter was also, very good. When we were finished, the server brought us a surprise anniversary slice of chocolate cake. The size would have fed 6 to 8 people. I think it was 5 or 6 layers of pure indulgence. The server lit the candle and told us to make a wish. We had a small portion since we were full from our dinner. Everyone was very friendly and the service was top notch. We will certainly return and I encourage everyone to try this wonderful restaurant.
It was my first time at Sugar House Casino. The food, service, politeness of security and the overall cleanliness will have me and my family back again. Thank you
Wonderful waitress. Slow food. Everyone’s meals delivered at different times. Loud.
Food was very good but, after food arrived no one ever came back to see if all was good. Part of our food never came, no one asked if we would like another drink. I guess we were not a big enough party to spend time with, and that bothered us.
Overpriced, food was ok but nothing special.
Steaks were awesome. Tender, flavorful and cooked to the proper requested temperature. I recommend if you are thinking about the loaded baked potato it is too big for 1 person. Definitely a side for two. Service was ok but not exceptional. If we go to the Sugar House Casino again for a show, we'll definitely consider Hugo's again.
We were very happy with our pre-show supper. Definitely would do again.
We had a great meal and great service by Antoinette. We remembered her from eating there previously and she help make it memorable with her personality and attention to details. The food presentation was excellent. The only complaint would be that the deserts are too big and we had to waste the food.
The waiter was very nice and professional
I will definitely request him on my next visit. The food was the amazing. I eat out alot and this restaurant is in my top 5.
Thanks again Hugo's. Second visit for my wife and I. Tried Hugo's in February, couldn't wait to enjoy again. The food is amazing. Our server on our previous visit was Joseph. Lucky us, Joseph again. Prompt, friendly, professional. We don't gamble, went there just for the food. You won't be gambling either if you try Hugo's. You won't be disappointed, amazing.
We have eaten at Hugo’s before and the food is always good. We did a birthday dinner for a friend and ate in the dining room this time instead of the bar area. Our server Pino was absolutely amazing. He helped us with recommending dishes and brought out a GIANT birthday cake for our friend. The food was absolutely amazing and the cake was incredible. What a great experience.
my server was the only one that was waiting on my seating area so the service
was a little slow. even the host had to clean off tables before I was seated and it was not
busy at all. I had to send back my NY sirloin after it came to the table the meat and plate had such a bad un appetizing "odor" that I did not even chance tasting it. My replacement
Filet Mignon was dry and my baked potato was cold and dried out as well. I had to pass
along because I've heard of others who were not pleased at all either with this place.
Waitress was wonderful! Food was delicious.. piano player was great.. a little costly but enjoyable experience
Great food, good service. A bit pricy. The steaks are awesome. Brussel sprouts are incredible. The desserts are to die for. The free parking is a nice bonus. Had Pino as our last server and he was great. The server makes a world of difference when dining at Hugo's. Some of the servers are great and others we've had are so so. We will go back again. Make sure you are hungry. Portions are large. Most of the time my wife and I share the salad and vegetables. We always share the dessert. Their cakes will easily feed 6 people (not kidding).
I was looking for a special place with exceptional food, drinks and atmosphere.
This was a special occasion that fell on Valentine’s Day and I was afraid quality or service would be compromised because of the holiday. I was surprised and so happy. The service was incredible, the steak was by far the best I have ever had.
Thank you Hugo’s for making everything so memorable.
The calamari was salty and my main course, the crab cakes and fries , were cold. So I wasn’t impressed with the quality of the food. However, my husband enjoyed his meal; he had the stuffed flounder.
Plates were not promptly removed from the table. And our server did not seem concerned about our experience. We were just another table to him.
Servers were understaffed but the food was very good. I usually like to eat my steak with a nice glass of wine but after asking twice, I had mine with a nice glass of water. This place does not compare to all the other high end steak houses in Philadelphia (especially when the prices are the same). I get a sense they only cater to the people who come to the casino regularly (not to see a show).
Our servers were amazing, so friendly and so attentive. Food was wonderful- we tried the frog legs. We’re looking forward to coming back when we can sit outside for a drink on the balcony. AND the 25% off for attending a show at the casino was an amazing surprise! Thank you so much, it was a wonderful evening!
Parked free at Sugar House and road the free shuttle to the Auto Show at the Convention Center. I decided that since we were in Philadelphia, I would treat my Wife to a nice dinner before our hour drive home. Searched the net for restaurants close to Sugar House that had good reviews. I looked at about ten but the Hugo's Frog Bar & Chop House menu looked like it was written for us. I was wondering what kind of food we could expect from a restaurant in a casino. We arrived about an hour before our reservation so we sat at a bar table to relax and have a drink. Great atmosphere. While we were sitting there a gentleman (Joe) visiting the casino asked us if we had dined at Hugo's before. We had not, so I was interested to hear what he had to say. He told us that he has had everything on the menu and we chose a great place to have dinner. Joe knew the manager John and introduced us. We finished our drink and headed to our table for dinner. Joseph our server could not have been any better. Friendly, professional, prompt and knowledgeable. He displayed the cuts of meat available and explained the menu. We started with 4 of the jumbo shrimp. I've had jumbo shrimp, theses were Hugomongus. Three types of bread brought to our table were fresh and delicious. My wife ordered the scallops and I had the Chilean sea bass. Amazing. We dine out every weekend and have had many very good meals but Hugo's is now our special occasion choice. I would dine there often if it wasn't for the hour drive. Next visit I'm going the have the filet like Joseph showed us. 12 ounces of I can't wait. Thanks Hugo's and Thanks John and Joseph
There is nothing better than an excellent meal before a show.
Our waiter was informative helpful, and very nice.
We will certainly be dining there again.
The filet mignon was tough, dry and too charred on the outside. King crab flounder, salad and bread were good.
Sat for 20 minutes with no one waiting on us, had to go tell hostess to get us a server. Not one thing was taken off the bill. Will never go back.
It was my birthday and we also had tickets to see the boxing matches. The food was outstanding and our waiter was fun, knowledgable, and guided us perfectly. We will definitely be back!
Everything on the menu is tastefully delicious. Service is prompt and on point. Katie our server was very knowledgeable and wonderfully pleasant. Great experience. Will return shortly
Pino was the best waiter! Calamari was terrible, too salty and totally ruined. The Big Cake however totally makes up for it!
great food and service, will continue to visit Hugo"s. near to home for great meal and friendly atmosphere.
Crab Cakes are big and DELICIOUS. Our server was wonderful
we went on NYE which was a little busy. the server wasn’t too pleasant, my fiancé received his lamb chops then 15mins later his sides. It was a rushed nite. We were sitting my the window and it was freezing.
I was extremely disappointed with my experience at Hugo's in Philadelphia. I've been to Gibson's and Hugo's in Chicago many times and it's been excellent every time. So going to Hugo's locally in Philly for New Years Eve was a treat I was looking forward to (there were 8 of us in total). We all had the prefix menu and to be honest, the steak was mediocre and the lobster was like rubber. On top of that, the appetizers were split by couple and it didn't seem like a good value when compared to their menu. To make matters worse, I felt like we were getting encouraged to leave by the wait staff right before the fireworks started.
Service and atmosphere was amazing. No waiting. Drinks, appetizers and main course came without delay. BUT..... the Food was good but not great. And for the price -I was expecting great. There are less expensive restaurant in Philadelphia with good food.
My wife and I love the food and friendly service!!!
Great location to see the fireworks for New Year’s Eve even with kids.
Very nice experience. Would definitely go back. The ambiance very nice, food was awesome. The service was excellent. Could’ve picked a better place to go to on New Years Eve.
