The Lamb Sliders (3) were very tasty and the French Fries that came with the sliders were also good with a lot more flavor than most served elsewhere.
This is a great bar and an even better restaurant. Whenever I am in NY I make a point of dining here and drinking of course. The food is fabulous, the drinks amazing and the staff superb. When seated ask or Meredith or Daniel, they are super (as is everyone but I did not memorize everyones name, yet). Great place that I really enjoy.
Great NYC pub atmosphere. Not overcrowded, a change from many NYC pubs. Food was just okay. Fries were all soggy and cold- and we had three orders served at different times, so this wasn’t a fluke. Sliders were basic and undercooked. Fried red tomato is a WHOLE, unsliced tomato- server should have highlighted that when it was ordered for $17. We won’t be going back.
Always enjoy the hospitality and service. Everyone is treated like a regular. And food is awesome
I went for brunch with my mother and sister. Three of the four ordered eggs benedict, all were cold and all the eggs were overcooked. We should have sent them back but we waited for some time and did not want to wait to have them cook new ones. On a positive note, the server was very good.
We live nearby and usually love this place, but something has definitely changed. Slow service, the worst meatballs I've ever had (a literal ball of tough ground beef minus cheese, eggs, garlic, bread crumbs, i.e., all the stuff that goes into a meatball), Old Fashioneds served not with a single large cube of ice but with *crushed* ice (?!), and a bill close to $200 for two means we won't be back any time soon. :(
Tracey, Thank you for your feedback...please send anything back in a restaurant if you don't care for it...especially Hudson Malone. I want to know and want the guests to be happy. I sent you a DM. Please let us make it up to you. I appreciate your thoughts and patronage. Cheers.DQ
Amazing food and atmosphere
Excellent food and service. Well worth a visit if you're after good simple food at a sensible price.
We weren’t sure what to expect and we loved the place. Food was good and we had a good time.
Great lunch w friends. Our server, Julia, was spot on, friendly& all around terrific. We had a fun time. Thank you.
New Year’s Eve! Amazing food, great service
House wine list by the glass not impressive; however bottle list very well represented. Food quality was great, prices a bit high. Seating for our group slightly awkward. Not what I expected based on photos and other reviews. Not amazing, but not average....
Good NYC casual dining/ bar vibe. Pork chop excellent. Cocktails on point. Great service from Joe Q.
I’m a regular customer and never disappointed
Food and ambiance were excellent.
Excellent vibe in Hudson Malone - truly fine authentic NYC establishment with great food and festive atmosphere. Doug the owner is fantastic and the entire staff is very hospitable. Highly recommended.
They accommodated our large group and were happy to make things to order for my 6 year old nephew. We had a lovely night out with the Family.
Yet again Doug and his Team crafted a phenomenal dining experience. Professional and accommodating while delivering delicious food and beverages in an inviting atmosphere.
Doug Quinn and staff, as always, made our dining experience spectacular❣️
Service, food and comfort level, amazing as always!
The Veal shank (special) was legitimately one of the best things my wife and I have ever had - it was perfect. Made the fried chicken plate (also delicious) bland in comparison. Seriously - order this dish and split it with someone you love - or eat it all yourself with someone you hate. ;)
This was my first visit to Hudson Malone. We went for Sunday Brunch. It was a nice brunch. The bacon board was ridiculously good. Obscenely delicious. The service was very attentive...even with a few slips, I give Jordan 2 thumbs up. It's very expensive though. With tax and tip for 2 people, with 2 drinks (Joey, the bartender) was terrific!), the bill was over $100. That's a lot for a Sunday brunch at a pub. The food was far better than you'd expect from a pub. But that's still very expensive I think. I'll go again though. It was a peaceful and quiet environment, which is what i prefer, and which is rare in the city.
Went here for a birthday dinner at a friend's recommendation and it was perfect. Small menu so as not to be overwhelming with choices. The Malpeque Oysters were amazing as were the lamb sliders. Sad that the chocolate souffle wasn't available, but the gelato was delicious in its stead. Would return again.
Sorry to say the food was mediocre
Latkes were hard and salad uninteresting
Worst part there was only one waitress who was lovely covering a big area hence the service was poor
The ambiance of the place was great !
Great place as always. Food is just perfect. Comfort, quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Cocktails are excellent.
We had a wonderful time. Great ambience, decor and music. The staff were all extremely friendly and accommodating. Food was very good, not excellent but it was more of place for comfort food and I had a salad. I would absolutely go again.
Great bartender upstairs - Alicia. Server also terrific. Reasonable pricing and loved the Siren Room. Food fine, not terrific.
Good place for oysters and pub food. Our server was exceptionally nice. Ambience is cozy.
Great bar food and service. Cool, unpretentious spot.
Great food and atmosphere, friendly staff and attentive owner in Doug Quinn. This place has it all. Very appropriate for work drinks or meals but also fun for casual meals.
I love it here. Can’t wait to return and try everything on the menu!
Great local joint. Excellent burgers, superb pork chop, easily enough to share for two people. Very friendly staff.
Ordered the french toast with carmelized bananas, but when they served the meal there were no bananas and when I asked the server she said "Oh, yeah... we don't serve bananas with that entree anymore." Considering the entire meal was just the french toast and the bananas, it was basically like they served half the portion but charged us the same. And why didn't the waitress bring it up when I ordered it, she clearly was aware? Better yet, why haven't they edited the menu? In addition, two other members of the party ordered pancakes with strawberries. The waitress kept saying "the strawberries will be right out!" but halfway through the meal said "actually the strawberries went bad and the kitchen had to throw them out." Again, missing a major component of the meal... but still charged us in full. Door to the restaurant was left open, and the breeze coming in was cold and smelled of cigarette smoke from people standing outside on the sidewalk. Overall just a horrible dining experience and will definitely not return. I have told other friends in Midtown Manhattan to avoid it as well.
Not only was the food outstanding but so was each individual staff member!!
The food was great but our server Anthony was even better!! I came here 2 days in a row because of Anthony’s stellar service and the great menu. I highly recommend the steak sandwich and the burgers! The fries are great too. But definitely request Anthony as your server and you will have amazing service as well!
Stumbled upon this gem for our last night in New York. We were looking for a nice chilled place for food and cocktails and Hudson Malone did not disappoint. The food was delicious and incredible service! We would definitely recommend!
Fabulous comfort food, killer pork chops. Service is over the top - knowledgeable, efficient, smart and fun servers. And the owner, Doug Quinn, who remembers everything about you from your last visit, makes sure everything is perfect for you.
Great food and service -fun drink menu and vibe. We would definitely return here!
Although I enjoyed the restaurant (food, drinks, crowd) we were 4 guys and it was expensive.
To be fair, I don't go out in NYC often but apps, drinks and dinner was $420 with tip. Yes we each had a few drinks but...
Having said all of that it was a very good place for us to meet up and share some laughs.
