Mykayla is a great server. Nice night!
My only real complaint was that they asked if we wanted truffles fries or Parmesan fries with our order as if they were included which as it turns out they weren’t… I’m glad we are ordering off the happy hour menu as I would be really upset otherwise.
Great drinks, great food, service a bit slow and need to work on timing but overall great place!
I have been to Hudson House for dinner and it was fabulous. This was my first experience with brunch and it did not disappoint. The food, service and ambiance were excellent. Highly recommend!
Great atmosphere, and great food. Really a solid place for brunch, with a simple but quality menu.
Food was delicious. Ordered the French chicken because of a friend recommendation. My cocktail was presented well and yum!
I understand Hudson’s is a cafe/ diner atmosphere and it was a Saturday evening but both groups either side of us were overly loud and obviously had a few alcoholic beverages. It was difficult to hear the other couple we were with as well as the server.
I’d go back but maybe not on a weekend evening.
Enjoyed our 1st time
This was our second visit to the Addison Location. The first visit was flawless. Food, drinks and service were perfect. The second visit was close, but not perfect. We both ordered a glass of Forefathers Sauvignon Blanc. It's a really nice wine, seafood friendly, and they pour an honest glass. We started with the avocado dip, served with homemade potato chips. It is fresh, creamy and delicious. My wife had the tuna tower, which judging from the food coming out of the kitchen is very popular. It was delicious and as good as when she had it our first visit. I ordered the flounder, which came with a couple of small broiled tomatoes and some arugula salad. The tomatoes were delicious. The arugula salad was delicious. The flounder was overcooked, and as a result was dry and hard to cut. Luckily they brought 3 ramekins of sauces for the fish and that helped a bit. I didn't send it back because I was starving and as we all know when you send something back it's going to be another 15 minutes before you get the replacement. We had also ordered a side of potatoes au gratin, which, as it turns out, our waitress forgot to order. When I brought it to her attention we ordered them and we got them 6-7 minutes later. They were awesome, and we were not charged for them. We like the place and will go back with the expectation that it will be as good as the first time we went.
Excellent service and food! Highly recommend!
Love this place!! The service is excellent along with the food!! Love the “feel” of the place!!
I had pan-grilled flounder with lemon butter sauce and friend had tuna tartar. Both simple dishes were perfectly prepared and delicious. Fish was ultra fresh.
I got extremely sick from the lobster bisque which resulted in two days of sickness. The waitstaff was not attentive at all. Our food took forever to come out - people were coming and going and we were still waiting. I’ve never had a bad experience at the Lovers Lane location, but this was my first time visiting this Addison location and most likely won’t be back.
Went on New Years and really enjoyed the food and service. Very efficient and great value. The entree’s were well presented and the peach cobbler dessert was definitely a winner!
Service and Atmosphere is better at the Lover's Location.
Fantastic experience, great food! Excellent oysters!
The food and service was good. My main con was that the food portions were rather small for the price. We had appetizers, and 3 main courses and all of it was on the smaller size.
I get it, it’s a nice restaurant, good ambiance, great seafood, but the portions could have been a little larger. I don’t over-eat or have a huge appetite but felt it just wasn’t enough food. Especially for the price. Everything else was good. 4 stars.
food was good - some items had less flavor than the lovers lane location.
Not a bad place. Just not a great place. Food did not deliver for the price.
Great neighborhood restaurant for a dinner out. We had the Steak and Frites and loved it. The steak was tender and very very flavorful. The vibe was warm and friendly and welcoming and the service very (but not overly) attentive. We will definitely be back!
The piece of fishy hubby got - redfish - was laughably small for $22. Fries were cold. Lobster bisque was warm... both should be served hot. We’ve been twice... only mediocre this time and we really wanted to like it.
Manny was an (not overly) attentive server. Both he and the hostess had excellent menu knowledge and recommendations. I enjoyed the brunch and plan to return for happy hour.
I chose Hudson House for Sunday brunch based on reviews of three websites. I had a reservation and when we arrived we were immediately seated. Our waitress greeted us warm & friendly.
I was a bit disappointed that they really did gave a true brunch menu, but offered food for brunch from their regular menu.
I had a bagel w/lox, cream cheese, et.al. and Lynne had a cheeseburger. The food was excellent and the staff was constantly refilling our drinks & checking to make sure everything was fine.
We will definitely go back to Hudson House when I’m in TX next... but will know not to expect a fancy brunch.
Enjoyed a leisurely lunch at Hudson House Addison - food was fabulous as always. Service excellent....
Service, food, and ambiance is always impeccable! Love this place.
Service super slow. The “southern fried” chicken sandwich was a flatten chicken tender. The fries were a la carte. The value was not there. Oysters were $3.50 each.
Christmas cheer with old friends. Very good service and good food.
The food at Hudson House is incredible and inventive. However, while friendly, the service is sometimes scattered. When I arrived there appeared to be confusion as to who should check me in and then, after specifically noting I had an Open Table reservation, it was never logged that I had arrived. I then sat at my hightop for awhile before someone checking in on me (and someone else ultimately introducing himself as my server). From there on out, everything was fine--but it just seemed no one was clear on their assignments.
Nice place. Friendly staff. The food was really good but overpriced.
Super cute place. Server was great & the food was very good.
Pretty good food. Felt fairly unwelcome from the hostess & all other employees. Bizarre. Prices a bit high for what you get. We’ll try it again and see if it was just an off night for the staff.
The food is always amazing. Atmosphere is phenomenal. Wait staff is kind and aware. I always recommend HH when people come into town!
My husband’s birthday was fabulous!!! The oysters and other food were as exceptional as usual, but the sparkler on his Oreo cheesecake was a big surprise for both of us. Thank you Hudson House!!!!
Great for a business lunch. Nice, attentive service from Sam and other staff. Definitely recommend making reservations as I heard the host telling walk-ins they were completely booked through lunch.
The food is always good. They have changed the French Chicken to a more French Cajun chicken and it is spicy, but good. The appetizers were especially good. Jill is a great server and always makes sure we are well taken care of. We were celebrating a birthday and they served our cake with a complimentary ice cream with a sparkling torch. It was great fun!
Consistently delicious food, great ambience.
Excellent food and service. Samuel was a knowledgeable and attentive server. We will definitely be back.
Great experience. Samuel is an amazing server, nothing more to say. Would recommend to all.
Never disappointed when I visit (this or the lover's location) and this time I finally enjoyed the Happy Hour specials. It's a great way to try a little of everything and the burger for all those sitting back and wondering WHY everyone keeps recommending the BURGER at this "seafood" place, well this is the time to try it for yourself!
