The Hudson Hound Jersey City. A modern American restaurant and bar with an Irish personality.
Our goal as a Modern American and Irish restaurant and bar is to serve you high quality, in season, fresh ingredients using as many local producers as possible.
Bringing contemporary touches to traditional dishes and creating new, innovative dishes from the world around us today.
Outdoor seating is available on a first come, first served basis (cannot reserve).
The snug is a must see cozy private space for up to 10 guests with direct access to the bar, seating is banquette and bar stool seating and has a private TV for all sporting events.

Even though our server entered the wrong protein for one of our meals, she was so nice and fixed it quickly. Drinks were quickly refilled. Great place!!

We went to Hudson Hound for Mother’s Day dinner with my 88 yo mother. She is a purist when it comes to her steak, so we ordered the filet medallions with no sauce. It came out with sauce and when they refired it, it came out cold. Third time was a charm and it was delicious. She enjoyed the mash potatoes and spinach that they substituted for her instead of the broccolini. The rest of us enjoyed our meals as well. The Mussels were amazing, the Guinness Beef and burgers were spot on! The sticky pudding with vanilla ice cream which was complimentary was delicious. We will definitely return on a less busy day since the parking is very hard to find and they were out of their infamous fish and chips. Overall a good experience.

Good option to have dinner with friends in a good atmosphere. Food was good overall and options for bar-type appetizers also available.

It’s a sports bar. The food was ok, I had the HH Benedict with salmon. They forgot the salmon and one of the poached eggs came broken. The waiter immediately took it back, instead of the whole thing being redone, one he returned with it;the hollandaise on the side was thick and congealing. The salad was overdressed, and the potatoe cake cold.

The food and service was fine, the issue was with the reservation. I made a reservation here through openTable and was asked to confirm TWO times once, actually through OpenTable, which I did. When we got to the restaurant they said they didnt have a reservation for me and I was shown the tablet also. We were seated after some back and forth but was told we could only have the table until 6:30 (which was about an hour and a half after our reservation) again which was odd because 1) that is a really long time, but 2) the place was virtually empty. No knock on the food and the service after that point as it was actually stellar, but that experience was really upsetting, especially considering I confirmed TWO times.
