   This was our first visit and it did not disappoint. The cocktails and the food were both amazing. The employees were all very friendly and professional, including a sense of humor which we appreciated. I'm assuming it was the owners that welcomed us and asked us both if we were enjoying ourselves, but they didn't introduce themselves. We received a free dessert for celebrating our anniversary, which was very kind. We will definitely go back. Our inside joke is that it was "Disney prices" as it's what we would expect to pay when vacationing at Disney World. But it's also the same level of cuisine, if not better. So well worth it.

   We did not stay! I could not believe how much the menu prices have went up! It’s ridiculous for Mansfield ! We have eaten here many times before but it has been a bit. I do not think the food is worth what they are pricing it for now!

   First time at Hudson Essex and was very pleased with the Easter Sunday buffet. There was a large selection of outstanding food. Also a large salad bar and eggs to order made the buffet complete. Looking forward to my next visit to Hudson Essex.

   Food tasted good but not very hot. Cold draft at our table. Food assortment was good. Service was good too. For the price, not worth it..

   We had a party of 4. We all ordered the steak frites. We all enjoyed it. We also had a side of lobster Mac. Very good. We really enjoyed the signature cocktails . The owners always come around to meet and check on you. Upscale atmosphere. We had good experience.

   This was the first time dining here for me and my fiancé and it was fabulous! I wish I had tried eating here a long time ago because everything was phenomenal. Very charming and friendly atmosphere for a date night, we will be coming back!

   We had a wonderful family brunch at Hudson & Essex. The drink menu was fun with many yummy cocktail options. The food was delicious. Great ambience and the owner, a kind and lovely man, stopped by our table to check on everything and chat. I would recommend checking this place out!

    We decided to try Hudson and Essex for my wife's birthday. We expected to spend upscale dollars for this fine dining experience. First, our server was excellent. She was attentive and made some very good recommendations. We appreciated a visit from the restaurant owners, who stopped by our table to introduce themselves. Unfortunately, our dinners were not presented very well. I ordered the steak frites and received what was supposed to be a grilled rib eye. The meat was gray ad there were no grill marks on the cut. The rib eye was covered with a peppercorn sauce, and placed on top of a mound of french fries. Slicing the rib eye caused the fries to be mashed down and the sauce then made them soggy. Never place food on top of a crispy vegetable. What bothered me the most was that my wife's filet was served on a luncheon plate, substantially smaller than an adult dinner plate. With the mashed potatoes and side of cauliflower also on this small plate, there wasn't enough room to eat the food without some of it falling off the plate. I asked why my wife was given a luncheon plate for her entree' and was told that it was because she ordered the 4oz filet. If she had ordered the 8oz filet, her entree' would have been served a regular-size adult dinner plate. I wonder who made that presentation decision. She was asked if she wanted to exchange the luncheon plate for a larger one, but my wife did not want to wait longer for her dinner. For a $200 dinner for two, we expected much more from Hudson and Essex. Details are important, and how food is presented is an important detail that shapes the dining experience. This first venture to Hudson and Essex, sadly, was not nearly as good as it should have been.
