   Celebrated my graduation at Hudson & Co. I was running later than expected to the restaurant. I was able to communicate through the OpenTable app with the staff at Hudson & Co; they got back to me promptly and were able to help me not only keep my reservation, but also upgrade it as well. When there, the staff were very professional and courteous. Runners were always available to help communicate with other staff members, and our waitress could not have been more pleasant. The views of the city are spectacular, the desserts are delicious, and the beer on draft is great - especially if you like IPAs like me! My only complaint is that for a few items we requested, there seemed to be a longer wait to receive them than I would expect at a restaurant, but nothing as extreme as I have read from earlier reviews. I believe they must be in the process of trying to rectify this. I would say that it could still improve, but I was happy to at least see what I believe was hopeful progress on the waiting front.

   I heard about this restaurant and saw the food on TikTok and knew i wanted to book my birthday here. There was poor communication between wait staff and hostess. We asked for separate checks when booking and at the beginning of the meal and confirmed it was okay but when the bill came the waiter said no and that the hostess basically doesn’t know what she’s talking about. He said that we’d have to split the check between 4 cards and charged an insanely high gratuity. Food was okay. The drinks weren’t for me and not anything that I’d recommend. View was gorgeous. Wait staff wasn’t attentive at all. Didn’t sing happy birthday as requested in the reservation and upon arrival and wanted to charge me $4 per cupcake cupcakes that I brought. The Bao shrimp tempura and hellfire sushi was the star of the night, otherwise I wouldn’t recommend for a birthday or anything other than a casual dinner date.

   Just an average place with spectacular views. Our drinks took about 20 minutes to arrive at the table and they didn’t have one of the beers we ordered. Appetizers were yummy and the oysters were fresh. They also ran out of one of the salads I had ordered for my meal, and didn’t notify me until 20 minutes later. Service was slow and food was mediocre.

   Overall very pleasant place to spend some time. My favorite part was the free parking for three hours. The only small detail was the wait once the order is placed but with the view you basically don’t really pay attention to the wait.

   The food here is great, a bit pricey for portions but great nonetheless. The problem I have and the reason for my poor overall rating is the fact that I forgot my bag there by accident and when I called to ask if they could please go find it and put it to the side, the person on the other end said they looked and it wasn’t there. Meanwhile, a few minutes later I showed up on my own and asked again if they found anything, the host up front said no. I ended up walking around on my own to the table and there was my backpack. This tells me the staff didn’t bother to look for my bag when I called. Then the host had to the nerve to tell me I shouldn’t forget my bag. As if I forgot it there intentionally. This place can go F itself for that level of service.

   Reservation for four at 4:00 pm Saturday afternoon. Extremely slow service at a time when the restaurant was not busy. The food quality was ok, except the tomahawk steak for two which was poor. Ordered medium rare and it was well done. We would have mentioned it to our server but he disappeared for 20 minutes. The coffee and cappuccino were served cool. We had a poor experience on a previous visit two months ago and decided to give it another try and thoroughly disappointed.

    the place is very cool and the is also good, especially if you are looking for a great meat or even pizza. the problem with the place is always the service, during evenings / dinner is always a problem....waiters seems to be lost. My wife and I were 20 min seated in the table to someone come and take our drinks order...I was almost leaving the place. Not the first time that this happens and also that I am giving feedback to management...I don't know what happens and why the service do not improve.

    Server was very nice, drinks recieved fast. They were not refilled for 15-20 minutes. Food took somewhere between 30-40 minutes to reach our table. It was not hot! The steak was fantastic, but very much overcooked. The sushi roll was not up to par. (Could have bought that anywhere and paid less.) Also, not a place for children. Since the food took so long to come out, our kids were so bored and hungry. It did not make for a pleasant dinning experience. Overall, food was good, not special, and overpriced.

    2nd try here. Menu prices up and a bit pricey for not-top-shelf food. Grilled salmon was about 6oz, cooked in overly sweet blood orange sauce, and few garden veggies, was not worth the cost they charged. Not impressed, will not return.

    I have been to Hudson & Co before for date night and I liked it so much that I thought it would be a good place to have my birthday gathering.     I went on a date night and the food and ambiance was wonderful, the one thing that let me down and I wasn’t happy about was the service! Waitor was late to introduce himself but made up for it because he apologized and was extremely nice about it but food and drinks take so long to come!

    Overall the place is great and the food is amazing. So fresh and flavorful. Only issue was we had a reservation for 7:45pm and wasn’t seated until 8:15. And it wasn’t only us. There were multiple parties who had reservations and had to wait for their table because they were given away.

    We arrived to the table, our server told us he would be back with us shortly, 10 minutes go by and no sign. We ask another staff member can we order, we order a Ceasar salad, a Greek salad, a portion of fries and a cheese pizza. Our 2 salads arrive 10 minutes later, no pizza for our young daughter and no fries. After a further 10 minutes we ask where is the pizza and fries, told they are on the way. Pizza arrives 3 minutes later, still no fries. We are nearly finished our salads at this stage, told server didn't want the fries anymore. We then order a dessert to share and 5 minutes later our fries arrive, this was over 40 minutes since we ordered them and we had finished our mains. Told server we didn't want them as we had waited far too long and dessert was already ordered. Over all our evening was ruined, we didn't enjoy our time or the money spent there. NOTHING WAS DONE regarding the BILL. Just overall a really really bad experience from the moment we sat down until we left $140 later. The view is amazing but if you are looking for good service and a chilled evening I would not recommend this place. The server did mention the kitchen was really busy. As far as I'm concerned this was a lie, inside was pretty much empty, a few people along the bar having drinks etc and the outdoor seating area was no where near full. We won't be back!

    It was Mothers Day evening and super crowded. Hostess was extremely nice and seated us (with 2 small boys) in an area that wasn’t so noisy. Fabulous window table to view NYC skyline. Sea bass was yummy but the lobster gnocchi was a little disappointing. Staff did a great job considering the crowded restaurant. Would be fun in the summer outside.

    Came in for a pre-Mother’s day dinner and 5pm was just the perfect time. Not too crowded and you get to enjoy some natural lighting outside. Service was prompt and orders were done correctly. We started off with shrimp bao buns and the octopus. Both were delicious! Soft buns for the baos and perfectly battered shrimp. The octopus had beautiful presentation/plating and cooked just right so meat was tender and nicely grilled. Oh and our piña colada drinks were amazing and enjoyable! Short rib was tender, filet mignon was done right and seafood spaghetti had very good flavor. Seafood was generous too. I also ordered australian wagyu and meat was juicy and tender! Love the “skinny” fries on the side as well. Nice and crispy. You cant go wrong with desserts too! We got Apple tart, chocolate lava and creme brulee. Everything was delightful but a favorite of mine would be the creme brulee! Soft, silky and perfect sweetness. Great sweet ending indeed. Ambiance is, of course, perfect. Casual but beautiful overlooking the hudson and having views of NYC. I appreciated that they took into consideration my request to be seated by the window with city view. Would definitely recommend! FYI: bonus is the walking distance parking. 3hrs free with validation!

    My boyfriend and I were here Saturday afternoon May 6th and ate outdoors. The view is beautiful however the food was horrible and not worth the price whatsoever. We had crispy shrimp bao buns which was the only good thing, their hellfire special sushi roll had over cooked rice and didn’t taste fresh at all. We also had their chicken bacon ranch wood fire pizza with dry grilled chicken that tasted like deli meat, the bacon was undercooked, the pizza had no sauce with giant cherry tomatoes and very little cheese that would peel off the pie and tasted like Polly-o cheese sticks. Their Margherita pie was the same situation, had no sauce and an excessive amount of oregano with very smelly prosciutto. The oil seemed to be poured over the pie??? The cookie skillet was good with what tasted home made whipped cream. The inside of the restaurant is overcrowded with employees and smells dirty. I would not return here despite the pretty views.
