Hubbell & Hudson Bistro Ratings and Reviews
We were visiting the area and wanted a good steak experience. We saw that Morton's was down the block, but figured we could go there at home and wanted something unique to the area. If I'm going to pay $50 for an 8-ounce steak, I expect knowledgeable and attentive wait staff. Our server was neither. Didn't know the difference between Black Angus and Wagyu beef when my son was trying to figure out which to order. Didn't notice when our water needed refilling and wasn't visible to even flag down. Slopped the dishes onto the table. At the end, it took us almost 15 minutes after we'd finished to get someone to find her and bring us our check. And although the steak was delicious, nothing else was outstanding. Good but not great. Would have still felt very happy if the service was good but it was awful. As we left we saw someone we knew (in town for the same event) who had decided to try the restaurant and had an even worse experience than we did. And by the way, it wasn't at all crowded. Big thumbs down.
I went to for brunch. I had the fried oysters and deviled eggs with kimchi hot sauce for an appetizer. This was delicious and would highly recommend it. My husband had the French toast which he enjoyed. My daughter had chicken and waffles which she enjoyed. I had the crab omelette which was bland overall, I would not order It again. Our service was good. I had a standard mimosa as a beverage. Overall, it's a good place for brunch or any other meal.
We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary as well as valentines Day. The food was excellent , but we were not happy with the server. She had a friend there and her attention was diverted most of the night. For such a highly rated restaurant, we received subpar service on a night that should have been special. Nothing special was done for our anniversary and we left disappointed. Suggest the management review the wait staffs attention to everyone.
Let’s start with table cloths too big for table,we tripped twice going to rest room.Martini,s should be served in a proper martini glass, not a stubby glass.Valentines Day appetizer ‘s were obviously meant for two,we were not told that, eggs with oysters had too much breading with no taste and a cheese platter which was good.We were in the middle of our first course when the waiter was trying to take our plates-which obviously we weren’t finished with-and we told him we would like to relax and finish our appetizers.A short time later he came out with our main course-which we weren’t ready for AND wouldn’t fit on the table with our huge appetizer plates,so we let him take the plates .I ordered the two steaks, one wet ,one dry, ordered them medium. Both were well done.My wife had the boneless short ribs which were very fatty, not a lot of meat.Desert was tasteless and dull with no imagination-BORING.WE thought this would be a special place since we go to H&H “Kitchen”almost every Sunday. This was nothing special or sophisticated or classy in any sense of the word AND soooooo overpriced for the food and service that I am very surprised.Your “Kitchen”is a very warm ,inviting, relaxed place to enjoy a good meal and reasonable! So many choices in “The Woodlands”-I think you need to up game-big time.
We had a wonderful Valentines Dinner at Hubbell & Hudson Bistro. This was our second visit having eaten their over 2 years ago. Our memories from our first visit had been with us since and we were so pleased to see that nothing has changed. Every dish was sublime! A delight for the taste buds. The service was always attentive yet not intrusive and the ambience was just right. The bar menu and Happy Hour cocktails look tasty and fun, we look forward to popping in soon to try them.
Absolutely the best restaurant in the Woodlands. Chef Austin is an incredible chef, and the food is amazing! All the staff are friendly and provide excellent service. My sister was undergoing chemo and they were extremely considerate by providing a back room for us. My sisters appetite was such that the meal Chef Austin prepared was the only meal she had completed and enjoyed in quite some time. She had the pork chops and she said they were fantastic! She loved them! I am grateful to the staff for making that occasion such a wonderful experience and to Chef Austin for cooking such an enjoyable meal for my sister which she raved about. Hubble and Hudson is our absolute favorite. And the meal my husband and I enjoyed recently was just as wonderful as always. Congratulations on your newest award as well! And thank you again.
First time. The food was amazing. So many great flavors blended to perfection. From salad to desert, the food was worth the price. Our waitress, Nicole, was very sincere and a perfectionist. She did everything with a genuine smile and heartfelt service. Nicole made our dining experience very pleasant; we felt appreciated. I had the pecan pie for desert. It was the best I've ever had. Not too sweet. Light and delicate. I would definitely recommend Hubbell & Hudson.
In my opinion, Hubbell & Hudson Bistro has lost its luster. The same old menu augmented by indifferent service makes for a disappointing evening.
There once a dress code, yes? I was uncomfortable when a man wearing a hoodie, baseball cap and work boots sat down next to us and was not asked to at least remove his hat.
I eat here fairly regularly and the only dish I ever order is the truffle crab pasta. I didn’t realize this dish isn’t served at lunch time and we showed up for our lunch reservation today. I knew what I was going to order: truffle crab pasta. Our waiter informed us they did not have that on the brunch menu , but that if I was willing to wait 10-15 minutes longer, they would happily prepare my beloved truffle crab pasta—JUST FOR ME!!!! The service at this restaurant is impeccable and the food is always 5-star quality! I ended up ordering the blue crab omelette and it was absolutely *perfect*, not to mention the bacon on top was the BEST bacon I’ve ever had in my LIFE!! This restaurant continues to impress me with their food and incredible service every time we dine here. :)
My twin sister and I had a special evening with an out of town guest at our new favorite restaurant HUBBEL & HUDSON on The Waterway In The Woodlands. GM, Chris Perry surprised us with flowers. The food was spectacular. Our wonderful server, Meghan Ashley Kuzmann, was awesome attending to our every needs. It was an evening to remember..
Excellent! I took my friend there for her birthday lunch, as we have done for each other several times before. A convention was at nearby hotel and the lunch crowd from there had filled up restaurant. My 12:45 pm reservation went past 30 minutes waiting for a table. But Chris came through big tim, seating us at a private table in Cureight with awesome Megan waiting our table. Complimentary champagne was very nice touch. Chef Austin personally delivered hand made chocolates after our meal and chatted, even posed for picture with my friend. He had recently been to work with chocolatier in Paris and was excited to share his incredible works of art! After a rough start at my favorite Woodlands restaurant, the customer service and attention made a memorable birthday lunch that we will talk about for a long time!
I've eaten lunch and dinner here, but Sunday was my first time having brunch here. My dining companion and I both enjoyed our meals. My blue crab omelet was delicious and the crab turned it into a decadent meal far from the ordinary. My dining companion's signature Benedict was perfectly cooked and scrumptious. The server was personable and attentive. Overall, it was the best breakfast I've had since moving to the Woodlands area.
Friends were visiting and we wanted to take them to a special brunch. This was our first trip and we were blown away. The restaurant is beautiful. The seating is lovely and cozy. The menu is very diverse and surprisingly affordable for such fare. Our food was perfection. We will return often.
My sister and I enjoyed eating at Hubbell & Hudson Bistro on 24 Waterway, The Woodlands, Texas is our new best restaurant. Our Chef Cortney Taraboi cooks to perfection. Wow and how great to have Chris Perry doing what he does best, making us feel like family. WE Will BE BACK SOON.
We dined there for New Years Eve. It was great to find a restaurant that would seat you late enough to make it till midnight. We had the wine pairing five course meal and it was very good. My experience with wine pairings has been that I didn't like at least one of the wines. I enjoyed every pairing. The menu was well thought out. The only improvement would be to bolster up the banquette seating so that you don't feel like a small child having a nice dinner.
Hubbell & Hudson Bistro is a fantastic restaurant. Everything was delicious, even the brussels sprouts (I abhor them normally, but somehow H&H made them extremely tasty). The steaks were tremendous and my wife devoured the kimchi mashed potatoes. I would also highly recommend their cocktails. The bartender was seasoned and made the drinks with the perfect amount of liquor in each drink. I cannot wait to go back.
