The service and food was great. The server was extremely knowledgeable of the menu and gave great recommendations. Felt very safe with the modifications of having the garage-like windows open to increase air-flow.
Great options on both menus. Drinks were good too. Loved Ben Pao menu!
We were told we had 90 min to eat but our server took about 5 to approach the table the very first time, our food was delayed for about 15 min. After our food arrived our server was no where to be found, so we didn’t start eating until 35-40 min after we arrived. Our table was missing spices and seasoning to accompany our food, my husband didn’t get to order a second beer, because by the time the waitress came to our table he had already finished his food. The food wasn’t impressive the tinga tacos were simply shredded chicken with tomato sauce very bold. As far as customer service: I was trying to get attention from my waitress which I never had, the buss boy who clearly saw me waiving at him by passed me and ignored me, I had to ask the second lady to call someone for assistance. This was my first time visiting HUB 51 and not willing to return to be honest!
Great outdoor seating and amazing food
Did brunch with a group of friends. Was a 10/10 experience and would do it again when visiting Chicago.
Food took a long time.
The heater kept going out on the patio.
Service was truthfully not good. We were there right around 2 hours
Great place for brunch. Staff was friendly and attentive. Space is large and well distanced for health and safety.
Service and management could've been a little better. Manager was rude and spoke to our table unnecessarily rude.
Great food selection and outstanding service.
Had a delicious lunch at Hub51. The additional Ben Pao Asian inspired menu is fantastic!
Great place for a date night - never disappoints -
Patio dining was very busy that evening.
Anytime me & the Mrs are out on the town, I want everything to be memorable and Hub 51 was ...it met her stamp of approval.
So so amazing! Was able to get a piece of cake+candle for my friends birthday and the server was SUCH a sweetheart. Would reccomend for any occasion.
Nachos were amazing would definitely recommend them
Great brunch spot! Food was really tasty!
The ambience of this place is really nice and romantic! However I was unimpressed by the food. It was really good, but nothing special.
We live in the neighborhood and walk past Hub51 often and thought we would give it a try for a Friday night out. It was just ok. Nothing exciting, innovative, or special. Just ok. The food was decent. Fish Tacos with very little taste, but a decent fish portion (the menu said Hailabut). I would avoid this restaurant, but also not in a big rush to return.
Hub 51 once was a place that meant a lot to my wife and I. It was the place where we ate lunch right after purchasing our first house. It is now just a distant memory of what it once was. Food was mediocre, service was subpar and extremely noisy, with a football watching crowd that would give any pub a run for their money.
It's sad to see what a once favorite of mine has become, and I won't be coming back anytime soon.
Great time! Highly recommend the Cauliflower appetizer, it is to die for!
Love this place to meet up with friends for lunch!
Thank you so much for the kind feedback. We really appreciate it! Let me know if you ever need anything. I'd be more than happy to set up your lunch reservations! Brad Gertz General Manager 312-828-0051
Hip environment even with social distancing. Had sushi which was fresh and delicious. Definitely on the list again.
It was delicious! Drinks were yummy food was great and the prices were very reasonable, we’ll be back again!
Great job at creating a safe environment for diners to enjoy. Fun to see Ben Pao items on the menu...it was one of my faves and I wish they would reopen BP fully! Food from both menus was solid, drinks quality and the our server was fantastic! Restaurant staff kept guests spread apart, checked temps upon entrance and the restroom even had a fun reminder for guests to wash hands properly - A+.
We've visited Hub 51 previously, Pre-Pandemic, and thoroughly enjoyed it. This time we were there for lunch, and were delighted that social distancing and mask wearing were universal, in the patrons, the wait staff and the host. Our meal consisted of an appetizer, and two entrees. Our appetizer was sushi, and was beautifully prepared and presented with two delicious dipping sauces. I had a salad with a chicken breast that was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The salad was dressed with just the right amount of dressing. My companion had an egg, tortilla and black bean platter, which she finished, a rare occurrence. All in all a wonderful lunch, highly recommended. As for the ambiance, we sat at an inside/outside table, which was the result of the open doors to the street arrangement, and made us feel comfortable, considering the current state of affairs. We'll be back, many times.
Wonderful! Staff/ service is outstanding. Food is exactly like I remember it (we had the Ben Pao menu)! Well done Hun51!
Our server Dan was awesome! Very attentive and personable! The bottomless bellinis are a must have!
After missing Ben pao for so long we were happy to recall our first time trying the food. We had our first date at the old Ben pao and told waitress . She was excellent !
Great time, seated quickly. Hope to be back soon..
Always a good time
food was delicious, service is usually great but on this night the server was horrible.
Former diner at original Ben Pao location, best Asian to hit River North , now RPM Italian. The chef altered my dish from wok fried to wok tossed and it was absolutely incredible. Look out Ming Hin. This is better than Chinatown! Cudos to you for bringing back some classics!!! Management service top knotch! Dan GM Mgr and Dan server the best!
Fantastic! Great job accommodating our request to sit outside and stay socially distanced. The food was phenomenal and the service was very speedy.
Great place to eat. Enough outdoor seating during pandemic.
They take temps before seating.
Good selection of food on both menus
Great drink selections
Ben Pao menu items didn't taste exactly like the old Ben Pao but close. Cudos for trying!
Not very good. Just the guac was ok
Added a Covid charge to the bill.
