I love the fact Ben Pao is finally back! Food still taste the same. Great
One word: Fire.
Good food, fun place. We go a lot
Christine was an amazing waitress! The food was beyond delicious! Love love love the bang bang cauliflower!!! Hamburger was perfect!!!!
Also felt Covid safe with distance between tables- thank you for that!!
My wife had the brussel sprout salad was delicious as always (we had the shrimp added to it- but I wouldn't do that again- it was expensive and not that good). I got the Ben Pao Mongolian Beef and it was very tasty.
We were told there were no peanut products in the food we had ordered. Later my boyfriend began having an allergic reaction. We spent the rest of the day in the hospital.
We were excited that Ben Pao was back! My husband and I had our 1st date at Ben Pao over 20 years ago. The food was just not the same. Chicken egg rolls were extremely mushy! Like why don’t you cook them until done?? The shrimp in the fried rice was horrid. We knew something was off on the 1st bite. The shrimp was either spoiled or something was terribly wrong. It made my husbands stomach hurt so bad he had to go to the bathroom. Bad decision to bring a beloved classic back without the right chefs to cook the food. If Hub 51 has good food we will never know because we don’t plan on returning for dinner.
Highly recommend the Hub Punch pitcher. Great to share with friends.
Loved it. Would definitely return for a second visit
Enjoyed the Ben Pao menu. Cool spot on Hubbard and great food. Will be a repeat place for me.
Nice variety of food on the menu and great to have Ben Pao menu.
Bland food, terrible service. Overall very disappointed.
Walked in with reservation and sat with no issue. Asked for high top and was sat at normal table. No big deal. The server was to busy in to his hair and phone to only stop at our table 3 times. After speaking to the floor manager the service improved from nonexistent to poor. Tend to the rest of your customers not play in the back
We celebrated New Years Eve and it was a wonderful experience. We loved the Tofu and Cauliflower Appetizers. We’ll definitely go back.
My 40th Birthday
Great food and great service would recommend
We appreciated that we could order from the regular menu, the brunch menu, and the Ben Pao menu when we were there on NYE day. My friend enjoyed the plant based burger. My only complaint was that the grilled chicken I added to my salad had a sweet glaze on it. That was an unpleasant surprise. The more I ate, the sweeter it became.
Great food. If you are in Dearborn easy to find. I would dine here again.
I’m traveling with my kids and this was the perfect spot as Menu is so diverse. There’s a special for everybody. We had a great time.
Always good food and vibes. Everyone loved the fried rice!!!!
Good food, good atmosphere, well priced. I would go back next time we are in town.
Everything was good except for the vague 3% covid “tax” they tack on the bill.
Phillip- I think the GM- was helping our server who was understandably overwhelmed due to staffing shortage. He was amazing, personable and delightful. We really enjoyed our meal, his recommendations and attention.
The shrimp dishes were healthy breaded and fried. Way to much salt
Food was wonderful. Loved the cauliflower appetizer and build your own tacos! Service was excellent.
My server pretty much didn’t wanna serve me and my two friends I don’t know if that had something to do with us being black or two of us being gay but overall he stayed away from us vast majority of the time. No convo really or anything just a quick is everything good and then the check afterwards and my friend burger still had blood in it
Fantastic server with great suggestions. We ordered from both the Ben Pao menu and the Hub 51 menu and the food was excellent all the way around.
One of the go to spots when visiting Chicago
The bang bang cauliflower was really tasty. Plus, I had the filet tacos. I really enjoyed that as well. The service was great. We will be back.
Chicken nachos were amazing as well as the coconut cake. Kale salad was great and drinks were good! Server attentive. Will be back!!
The Bang bang Cauliflower was AMAZING, the cornbread was good. The burgers were good. I had the crunchy chicken salad which was ok, the croutons had an odd texture. Overall, decent dinner, Our server was GREAT
I tend to dine at Hub 51 quite a few times during the year. During this last visit, I was very disappointed with the food. I typically order the nachos vegetarian style with black beans. We placed an order for two nachos - one with chicken. I guess this particular night, they were out of the beans so instead of being informed about this, my plate of nachos was brought out looking poor. The chips were burnt, there was barely any cheese and of course no black beans. When I asked our waitress about it she took them back to the kitchen then came back out with them moments later saying they were out of black beans. I told her you could have informed my early on and perhaps I would have ordered something different. She said management would discount the order but I still asked to speak with mgmt. Manager came over and I explained the same thing, she offered to bring out more cheese and that the order would be removed from my check. Also, when my nachos were brought out she totally didn’t hear us say we wanted two orders so we had to wait for the other order to be made. When they were brought out, they were superb like normally. The waitress did have them bring us a complimentary dessert which was very good. Overall, I was very disappointed with my food this time however, I will still dine at Hub because I really like the place.
I would say it’s just okay. Not the place for a special occasion. Very casual
The crispy cauliflower was a great appetizer and my kale salad with salmon was very yummy. The Hub punch was also a big hit at my table and service was excellent. So glad we could snag a table on a busy Saturday night. It was a close walk to our theater experience too. So the Hub was a perfect choice
We attended during brunch hours. Food was fantastic, but we had to wait over 20 min even though we had a reservation.
Comedy show pregame and dinner. It was so good
Birthday lunch with friends is always a good time at Hub 51.
