HP Cafe America Bistro
The food was very good and the staff was friendly! We frequent Sedona multiple times a year and this was our first time trying HP Cafe because we get into a routine for where we like to eat, but we were glad we tried something new! We went for breakfast and the had some cocktails (which were half price!) and the food was delicious and came quickly. My husband wanted something off menu and they accommodated him with ease. We will try this place for lunch next time we are in town!
Excellent breakfast menu, all four of us were thrilled with our choices. Great way to start the day before activities.
Simple well executed menu. Service was outstanding. One of the oldest restaurants in town.
Small well suited restaurant in downtown Sedona. Great for appetizers only, entire meal and friendly service. If you want to spend $11 for mashed potato at another fancy restaurant because of the view, and get so so food, hi right ahead. If indoor dining is for you because you have already seen the red rocks, this is the place. We had crab cakes, papardelle (a little spicy) and a filet. Delicious! Could not fit desert in.
We had a reservation and were welcomed and seated upon arrival. The online photos do not reflect how nice this place is, very lovely and romantic. I was very excited for the menu. We started with crab cakes which were served beside a bed of greens. Do not discard the greens as they had the very best dressing I’ve ever tasted and when added atop the crab cake, pure heaven. My entre’ was the short rib which was tender and flavorful, my husband had the steak and ravioli. He said the skirt steak could have been seasoned a bit more but still tender and the sauce and ravioli delicious. My only feedback is on the drinks. I had a grey goose martini, which was prepared well just needed to be bigger, their martini glasses are very small. Also had a coffee and kailua with my desert. They didn’t leave much room for cream and at such a lovely restaurant they should serve the cream in a creamer pitcher vs giving me the Denny’s style bowl of creamer cups. Just minor details but they did not ruin my experience. It was a wonderful date night and the price was fantastic. Service was friendly and fast. We will be back to try the ossobucco which was unfortunately sold out. Sedona is an expensive place to eat but if you want fine dining without having to take out a 2nd mortgage then give this little gem a try.
I had a good Classic Margarita and their fish tacos with secret sauce were excellent.
Convenient location with great food! Eating outside on the back patio was especially nice.
A hidden gem in uptown Sedona.
Great food at great prices. Better than most Sedona Restaurants.
This was our first dinner at this place and we were pleasantly surprised. We had an outdoor table as requested. The service was very attentive and friendly. The food was very good and reasonably priced. The only issue we had was with the wine. I selected a Pinot Grigio and asked the server whether he could recommend it. He recommended another one instead which was fine with me. After a couple of minutes he came back to inform us that they were out of that wine. Then I asked him to give us a bottle of the wine we had in mind originally. He told me that they were also out of that wine. There was another Pinot on the list that they actually had and we liked it.
7PM week nite dinner and we were the only customers and helped close the place at 8:30. You cane do much better in Sedona such as the Cowboy Cafe where we had lunch and it was very good and reasonably priced!!
We weren't expecting much, but were pleasantly surprised by how well prepared the food was. The wait staff was very friendly, too. Would definitely return when visiting Sedona again.
The food was great!! The hostess was super Accommodating because we wanted to sit outside..
A great place to eat if you do not want to battle the crowds finding a decent fine dining restaurant in that area. It was a quiet and romantic ambience that was great for a date. The food was prepared very well. I would not say the food and drinks are anything special but the quality of food is certainly good. The service there is decent too.
Good unpretentious place with good food and good service.
Great find in Uptown. The short rib ravioli was wonderful. Quiet patio space in back for dining.
Definitely would return.
Really enjoyed the good food and service. The beet salad was especially good.
Made reservations for noon based on posting of a special Easter Brunch. Talked with a representative to verify the menu for the occasion. Guests arrived at noon as agreed.
NO SPECIAL BRUNCH MENU WAS OFFERED. Just regular breakfast and lunch menu as per any week day.
Ate here for breakfast - food and service was fantastic.
We ate outside and really enjoyed the weather and people-watching.
Enjoyed dinner at this cute Bistro. Definitely recommend
for casual dinner in downtown Sedona.
Friendly people, good service and food.
Hidden gem. Wonderful menu with high-end "comfort food" variations, fantastic pasta dishes and excellent appetizers and salads. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable about wine pairing. Went for supper, and the ambiance was perfect for a quiet meal for two. This place also serves breakfast and lunch, so the feel may be different earlier in the day in different light, but we loved it for supper. We'll also be trying it for breakfast and lunch. It's very small, and smack in the middle of a lot of shopping, so a reservation is highly recommended.
Very good food at a reasonable price. Good ambiance.
We were so pleasantly surprised with this place - we had tried to get into the trendy spots, and all were booked up or had very long wait times, so we came here.
SO GLAD we did - service was excellent, food was excellent - great find.
We were the first to attend for lunch. The atmosphere is very nice. Wait staff was attentive, and fast. The fish taco , and veggy burger was excellent. Substituted the fries for onion rings which were very good, and a huge portion.
Me & my wife enjoyed our Sunday brunch with our daughter.
Long story so I'll just say the owner and staff accommodated a special request from us and couldn't have been nicer. Owner spent several minutes talking with us about business. I am a business owner so we had a nice discussion and understood customer service and employee relations. My breakfast was very good and we will go back next time we are in Sedona!
My family had the spaghetti bolognaise, surprisingly good sauce, rich, satisfying, well seasoned. I had a delicious and perfectly balanced salad with roasted peaches. Chef is amazing. Ambience could be so much better, everything looked a little tired and worn, needs updating - the ambiance does not match the high caliber food.
We had dinner one night and breakfast on another day. Both meals were terrific and the service was top notched
From the moment we walked in the door we were treated like family. Everyone was very attentive and made sure our dining experience was the best. The menu was diverse and creative. The portions are substantial and the HP Chips are to die for.
The cocktails were delicious, I just wish I had room for dessert. Overall we would highly recommend this restaurant!
Food was excellent. Loved the outdoor dining. Service was friendly and timely. We arrived at 7pm on a Saturday night. They closed at 8pm. Only a few diners left. They had outdoor dining in the front and back. The back was more private and scenic. We will definitely return when in town again.
We had a nice late meal with little lead time in downtown Sedona. Interesting décor and quick service with an eclectic menu.
the wait staff was attentive and the food was good. They were patient with my elderly father and his slow motion movements.
We dined at the HP twice while in Sedona. The food was cooked to a high quality and the service was excellent. The owners are very friendly and run a nice establishment. The food is the hi-light of the restaurant. The chef knows how to prepare delicious sauces without the heavy touch of many similar restaurants. The meats are cooked to the request of the diner. All in all a great place. It turned out to be our favorite while staying in Sedona.
We went for dinner on a Thursday night. There was no one else there which is too bad as the food and service was very good. We all enjoyed our meals and can't understand why there were no other customers. The decor is nice, the service was very good and the menu has good variety. Recommend giving them a try!
It is hard to fathom why there is not a bigger dinner crowd at HP Bistro. The ambience is pleasant and inviting, the food is delicious, and the service is excellent. We had an excellent experience.
We had our 1 year wedding anniversary. We were given the pick of spots to dine, and we chose the patio out front. The service was amazing, friendly, and my dish (Bolognese rigatoni) was the best sauce I have ever had. Thank you!
Don't be fooled by the exterior, this kitchen produces high quality flavors and a great value for the $
My wife had the tacos with delicious sweet potato fries and I had a steak which was great.
Had we been told about the outdoor patio in the back, we would have opted for that location. We were seated inside and found it very ordinary. The food was not exceptional. The burrito was served luke warm and the chicken salad sandwich was too sweet. A family with babies arrived and the noise level changed to bad.
