Our server, Andre', was wonderful! This was our first time there, and he took extra time to explain how dishes were prepared and made recommendations. Very cozy and intimate atmosphere. We will definitely go again!

The atmosphere was lovely, but the service was outstanding. Trevor, the bartender, and also GM was very attentive, and made us feel very welcome. Will be visiting Houston White again.

Superb from start to finish. A nice treat upon arrival for our anniversary dinner and a lovely ending as well. Truly the best dinner we have had in quite some time. Would absolutely recommend.

First time at Houston White Co. and won’t be the last. I’ve been wanting to go for a while now and so glad tonight was the night! I think we just found our place to celebrate special occasions! My boyfriend and I had the NY Strip and it was cooked perfectly. He said that it was the best steak he’s ever had! It melted in your mouth and was probably one of the best I’ve had as well. Our server, Kelly was amazing and so sweet! She was very attentive and gave us the perfect recommendations when asking questions about what we should try! We can’t wait to come back again!! Thank you, Houston White Co. for making our “date night” perfect!

Food and service were both exceptional. Restaurant has a nice warm style, fitting for a nice steak dinner. We ordered apps, drinks, steaks and desserts and everything had top notch flavors. This one will go down as memorable for the taste buds.

Tomahawk steak was cooked to perfection and flavor was excellent. Berenice sauce was not as good as I expected was too thick and did not taste fresh. The mushrooms lack flavor. The mashed potatoes lacked salt. The drinks were good except at the old fashions too sweet. We had brussels sprouts, but I did not have any. However, the guest said they were lacking flavor also. most of the things were minor fixes but definitely the steaks were excellent.

The restaurant was very charming and the wait staff extremely attentive. My only beef (pardon my pun) was with the pricing. It just did not seem like a very good value for the amount of food provided however the food itself was delicious. Ex. You order from the chophouse menu and have to order sides separately. A 10oz. steak alone is not worth $75. The sides themselves say they are a share that feeds 1-4 people. (1) larger loaded potato will not feed 4 people. They also don't tell you on the menu how much each side costs ($14 each by the way at least for the ones we purchased). If I was like some of the tourist here with grand disposable incomes, it may seem like a good value but I am a regular working schmo so it was a bit much even for a special occasion. Dinner for two was $226 and we didn't even drink. Yikes!

We had a gift card that was good for La Fable and Houston White. We've been to La Fable many times, so we opted to try Houston White. So, while everything was good, at this price point, everything should be absolutely memorable and honestly, I can't say that it was. The sides (mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts) were good but the portions miniscule (for what was charged). The wine was overpriced for the amount that was poured. We had dessert, but honestly don't even remember what it was (and we dined there last night). At the end of the day, I'm glad we tried Houston White, but will opt to go to 1776 Steakhouse or La Fable, for that matter.

3 Pork chops ordered. All came out well done (requested two medium and one medium well). Sent back 2. Was told only one pork chop available to replace. Pork chop replaced came out medium rare in places. Second time here. First time was good experience. Not a good first experience for our friends.

We’ve been passing by this restaurant for years. It looked cozy, but fancy. Unfortunately, it’s too over priced; too many tables in a very small space so it’s noisy; the filet minion was supposed to be 6 oz and I have gotten it other places, it looked more like 4 oz; the pork chop was also a bit over salted; service was fine, but the server forgot several things and we had to remind her/she had to see us looking at her to remember. Overall it did not meet our expectations if considering the ratio of quality of the experience/the food/the prices.

The quality of the dishes is what sets this restaurant apart. The beef, in particular, is first-rate -- consistent with the best offerings of top-tier steakhouses. And our steaks were seasoned and cooked perfectly. The sides were excellent as well. Prices are on the high end, but commensurate with the overall quality of the food.

THIS visit to HW was to celebrate our 48th Wedding Anniversary. Rick Bowers, and and sidekick Kelly (our server) took outstanding care of us. We unfortunately learned that the fixture-like bartender at HW - Mike (aka: Hoagie) passes away last month. Mike was one of the best, and most personable BT's in the business. He will be sorely missed.
