Food and service were great. Our server was friendly and helpful. But our party of 2 was seated in a small room with a party of 9. That group was very loud and we definitely felt like we didn’t belong there. Reservation was made at least a month in advance and it would have been nice if the restaurant acknowledged our situation and moved us to another area. Definitely made us feel like our business was not important to them. Also, it was a bit odd that the hostess kept licking her fingers when picking up menus. In the post Covid-era, getting menus covered in someone else’s saliva is bit disturbing.

We are repeat customers of Houston White. The staff and in particular the hostess/manager could not have been nicer and more professional. I deducted a star because several dishes were not hot when served at our table and had to be sent back to the kitchen. A test of any fine dining experience is how does the establishment handle problems. HW passed with flying colors handling it with verve and caring. Afterwords multiple managers checked on our table

Service by Andre was exceptional, libations were wonderful and the dinner was delicious. My wife and I shared the shrimp cocktail, she had the Prime Delmonico Ribeye done perfectly medium and I had the lobster thermidor. We shared the creamed spinach which was more than enough for two. We celebrated her birthday by sharing a slice of peanut butter pie! Megan Kee and her team are the best.

Our dinner was superb: flavorful, tender filet mignon and excellent, properly cooked halibut. The desserts--carrot cake and chocolate heaven--were amazing. From food to service, this place is a winner.

Houston is one of our favorite restaurants in Rehoboth or Lewes. The food is excellent, the service is excellent and the waiter always friendly. The hostess and the bar tender are excellent and real assets. My only cal out is although the 10 Oz filet was cooked perfectly, and tasted wonderful, it was very undersized. While I didn’t discuss this with the waiter, the filet was 6 Oz at most. I have had many filet’s, and this looked like a child’s portion. The price is too expensive to have an undersized filet. The halibut was ordered by one of the guests. It was dry and tasteless. I think Houston’s needs to do a better job on fish.,There should always be two different fish offered. Salmon and a fish of the day. They both need to be excellent. While Houston White is primarily a steak house, excellent salmon and another fresh fish should be a staple.

Always enjoy our evenings at one of Megan’s restaurants. Andre was an exceptional waiter/server. We enjoyed talking with him. Try the New Orleans coffee if it’s offered. Amazing!

The hostess Kathy has many years of experience and does a great job making customers feel at home. The waiters are generally older and more professional and on top of their game. This is undeniably one of the finest restaurants in the entire DelMarVa region! The ambience, food and service are unsurpassed! Management and Waitstaff were very personable with an “encyclopedia -like” knowledge of the complete menu. Our waitperson Kelly suggested wine pairings with our entrees of Pekin duck breast and braised short ribs that were spot-on! All of the food offered on the menu is cooked from scratch and the cocktails are superb. If one wishes to enjoy an unparalleled dining experience then Houston White Co. is a must!

The atmosphere was lovely, but the service was outstanding. Trevor, the bartender, and also GM was very attentive, and made us feel very welcome. Will be visiting Houston White again.

First time at Houston White Co. and won’t be the last. I’ve been wanting to go for a while now and so glad tonight was the night! I think we just found our place to celebrate special occasions! My boyfriend and I had the NY Strip and it was cooked perfectly. He said that it was the best steak he’s ever had! It melted in your mouth and was probably one of the best I’ve had as well. Our server, Kelly was amazing and so sweet! She was very attentive and gave us the perfect recommendations when asking questions about what we should try! We can’t wait to come back again!! Thank you, Houston White Co. for making our “date night” perfect!

Food and service were both exceptional. Restaurant has a nice warm style, fitting for a nice steak dinner. We ordered apps, drinks, steaks and desserts and everything had top notch flavors. This one will go down as memorable for the taste buds.

Tomahawk steak was cooked to perfection and flavor was excellent. Berenice sauce was not as good as I expected was too thick and did not taste fresh. The mushrooms lack flavor. The mashed potatoes lacked salt. The drinks were good except at the old fashions too sweet. We had brussels sprouts, but I did not have any. However, the guest said they were lacking flavor also. most of the things were minor fixes but definitely the steaks were excellent.
