Houston White Co.
Truly a steakhouse but all portions were huge - nothing under 12 oz. so I tried the stroganoff & it was only ok. Perfect sauce & plenty of mushrooms but the beef was a bit fatty & the meat should have been cut into smaller pieces. The trout was vey good & served with a ton of green beans. The place also needs a far bigger selection of wines by the glass - only had 3 red options, 3 white & a rose. Needed at least 2 bottles of wine under $40. The wait staff was excellent!
Very good service
A little pricey
Pleasantly surprised and pleased with all aspects of the property ambiance, food and service. Blue Moon has a serious competitor - finally!
Was my first visit. The seafood chowder was fantastic. My steal was cooked as requested. Sides were good. Waiter inadvertently switched my dining companions steaks--which is a major mistake in a steakhouse when one was medium and the other medium-rare. Prices are big city high. It is a nice choice for a special meal.
We were very pleased at Houston White. The biscuits were amazing! My only suggestion is that for someone who only eats lightly think salads there should have been a light seafood option.Overall would definitely return and the food was delicious.
The best steak and atmosphere in downtown RB. The food is absolutely exceptional. We had the 70-day aged steak and it was perfection. The food is elevated steak house food. Such a delightful evening. Megan, the owner is absolutely fantastic and you can tell she pours her heart into her restaurant.
Perfect table in back, attentive service, great value in Steak Night!
Excellent food as always. Great steak house ambiance - you feel like you could be in NY City. Super value on Thursday's during off-season with 6 oz Filet at $10.99, compared to the normal price of $45 or an 8oz filet. For steak topping get the bone marrow demi-glace - $8.00 but a value because it is enough for four. Everything is a la carte - but the table servings of vegetables are still a good deal, particularly the mushrooms, in the $10 range. Red wines served at the perfect temperature - around 60 degrees. Most restaurants in Rehoboth destroy their red wines by serving at room temperature. Overall it is very pricey (except for the Thursday night special) - but worth it! Parking can be difficult in the summer so give yourself extra time or take an Uber.
Great food and service!! I would recommend to friends.
Fabulous food -- we had the petit filet Thursday night special ($10.95) and it was so delicious we couldn't believe that price. In general the menu is too expensive for us retired folk on fixed incomes -- but we will be back for these specials A LOT and bring friends! Great filet, veggies, service, ambiance. We'll be back soon!
The Thursday night special was the initial attraction. The food, the service and the ambiance completely sold us on the experience. Definitely coming back.
A New York style steak house in the heart of Rehoboth Beach. Warm and vibrant, great off season bar crowd.
Everything was simply fantastic! The food and service were outstanding! Our server, Brian, made our 45th Anniversary dinner an occasion we’ll never forget. It is clear that Megan and her staff are committed to creating a dining experience unique to each individual. From the beautifully crafted Classic Old Fashioned ( no muddled fruit), to the melt in your mouth bone in filet, and the perfect baked potato with crispy skin sheltering a light and fluffy inside, our meal was truly something very special. This is certainly a restaurant for special occasions, but equally for those times when you just really need great food prepared perfectly.

The chowder was amazing and the bone in filet is on another level. It’s just so much better than a petite filet. We also split the onion rings and creamed spinach which were both very good and big portions.
We made our reservation one week in advance. When we arrived there was no table in the main dining room so we were seated in the narrow room to the left. We were the only diners there. No real problem with that. The hostess gave us our menus and explained that they were having their Petite Filet special for $10.95. She took our wine order. When she returned we ordered our food. While we were eating our wedge salads (the tomatoes were icy) a party of four was seated next to us. A server, not ours as we never had one, introduced himself to the other diners and proceeded to inform them of the additions to the menu that the chef was preparing. We were never given that information. They sounded quite good but we had already ordered. Our entrees were barely warm. The onion rings were cold. The mushrooms were good. We shared the Bourbon Bread Pudding for dessert. It would have been much better served warm and not cold. Our used dishes were removed by assorted staff. The only saving grace for the evening was the excellent Expresso Martini that was served to me by the bartender. Very disappointed in our experience or maybe our expectations were too high.
Absolutely fabulous. Food, service, and ambience was great. Next time though want to sit in different spot in the restaurant.
Atmosphere is just right. Cozy décor like it should be for a steak house. Owner on premises and very attentive. Were it not for a noisy gentleman at adjacent table and extremely noisy foursome behind us it would have been perfect.
That is a good a steak as we have enjoyed from the best steak houses. The wedge was great as well.
All in all a wonderful meal. Love the traditional atmosphere.
Food was good but should be flawless with the experience and price that the restaurant is trying to provide!
A return visit for our anniversary was lovely. Great server, wonderful food and a visit from the owner. This is the kind of place we need in Rehoboth.
Saturday was our first time dining at Houston White with another couple. We were quite pleased with the ambiance, service, and food. It was nice to see the owner, Meagan, whom we have known for several years. I understand it is a steak house, but, if you don't eat steak, there were only 2 or 3 other choices. And the prices were at the high end of the scale.
Our meals were absolutely delicious! We shall return!
This place was awesome!!! Food and service was 5 star!!! On a 1 to 10 scale this place is a 15!!!
My wife and I were looking for a nice "date night" destination. We had been talking about trying this restaurant but this was our first visit. WE WILL BE BACK!! This is a hidden gem in the middle of Rehoboth. Our waiter Ty was extremely knowledgable about the menu and very attentive. The food was delicious, the steak was cooked to perfection. We both commented how we felt we had been transported to a New York steakhouse. A very enjoyable evening.
One comment, we would like to return with our adult children. Our oldest daughter is wheelchair bound and while there is a wonderful ramp along the side of the building, the area was blocked by two very large trash dumpsters. Please consider moving the trash receptacles to a more ADA friendly position.
Fantastic place! Unbelievable food. Will definitely be back
Top notch food not to be outdone with a top notch waiter, Peter! We can't wait to go back - thank you for a wonderful dining experience!
Amazing food. Great staff. Great atmosphere. Very accommodating.
The place was packed with Birthday Celebrations including ours.
The Carpaccio as an appetizer was fantastic.
I had the Deckle special and my husband had the filet.cauliflower and broccoli rabe sides were delicious.
nice portions, we bought home a doggie bag!
This place came highly recommended and definitely lived up to expectations! The prime rib special they are running for the off-season really can't be beat!
This was truly an amazing meal. The steak was cooked beyond perfection, the salads were delicious, and the cocktails were impeccable. Our server, Brian, was very friendly and added to our experience. I highly recommend ending your meal with the derby pie. We already made our next reservation!
Lovely dinner. The steaks were so delicious that we had to close our eyes to savor. Fabulous ambiance on a winter’s night & dedicated service.
The best meal we have had in Rehoboth this season!!
A sumptuous meal with outstanding service. We'll be back.
A great dinner and great value for New Years Eve!! The food was incredible and plentiful. Just please another biscuit!! 😉 will definitely be back soon.
Wonderful experience. My husband and I felt extremely welcomed in this boutique steakhouse. My delmonico was well marbeled, seaosned, and seared perfectly. My husband had the stroganoff...decadent and delicious. Service was top notch. Cannot wait to return.
Looks expensive but you can tell it’s a great steak and they lowered their prices quite a bit since the summer. I love the way they cook their steaks. We had the aged strip and it was incredible.
Spectacular steaks. The menu is simple steakhouse style in preparation, but executed magnificently. We have visited a few times now and look forward to the next. The owner is usually present and most gracious. It’s not an inexpensive experience, but well worth the treat. Our server told us they are starting a ten dollar prime filet night on thursdays. We will now be weekly diners.
Warm and welcoming service. Lovely table provided in the side room. Excellent wine selection available at a variety of price points. Biscuits with honey butter are divine. Herb-encrusted prime rib special was wonderful. Fable trout almandine was tender and flavorful. Highly recommended and will definitely return!
This is a fabulous restaurant and Megan, the owner, and the rest of the staff are top notch. Highly recommend, especially for special occasions or if you just want to treat yourself to a great meal and a great evening with staff who truly define what excellent customer service is all about.
Absolutely loved Houston and White! Great atmosphere, great food and great staff!! Will be back soon! Perfect place to enjoy Christmas Eve!!
A little pricey , but the food and service was exemplary
