Houston White Co.
One of the best steakhouses I have ever been to. I had the Delmonico Ribeye and it was delicious! The service was great and the drinks (especially the “1905”) were outstanding also. We were celebrating my sister’s birthday and we couldn’t have picked a better place to go!
It was nice
Anniversary. They made it very special
Great meal for our whole table. The only issue was they served
the wrong meal to two of us and had to start eating it before we realized it was not ours.
Service was impeccable the grilled oysters delicious and their take on crab cakes which were deep fried in butter devine
The barrel cut ribeye perfect portion and perfectly cooked and their onion rings super crispy and not greasy
Plus the owner came out to chat and see how we were doing
A great place for Rehoboth
All around great experience!
We really enjoyed our first visit to Houston White. Steaks (filets) were wonderful. I also enjoyed the tomato burrata appetizer. Nice atmosphere and great service. We also appreciated the owner stopping by our table. Will definitely go back next time we're in Rehoboth and craving steak!
Wonderful experience! Service exceptional. Food outstanding. Great birthday celebration
The reason i will NVER go back is twofold- The steak was fair- NOT horrible but Not as Good as 1776 House- In addition we asked the waiter if anything came with the steak and he said a baked potato and i said can we have the butter and sour cream on the side - He said of course- The dinner came and the baked potato was loaded with butter and sour cream so we sent it back and started eating our steak- It took ALMOST 15 minutes before it arrived and we were almost done our steak- Then the bill came and they had the nerve to charge us $1 for the sour cream- That is like ordering a shrimp coctail and being charged for the coctail sause . The waiter NEVER told us there was an upcharge and i did NOT see it in the menu.
The owner may be a good cook but she should know better than to have a customer leave upset for $1-In addition a glass of wine was $14 and the same glass f wine the next night at Salt Air was $9 and the service and meal was much better- The owner should raise the price of the steak by $1 instead of nickel and diming the customer- I have eaten in 5 star restaurants all over the world and have never been charged for sour cream to go with the baked potato- I have mentioned this incidence to about 20 friends and they could not believe it and also said they would not go there
I could not apologize more to you in person, as you may recall. I did take the sour cream off your check. As I had mentioned while you were dining with us, I truly wanted to make your experience a better one before leaving. We spoke in person 3 times regarding the sour cream and this was after I removed it from your bill. You even wrote on your check after you dismissed me and my apology that you would never come back. I opened the door for you and furthered my apologies.
Great food, great service
Great steakhouse in Rehoboth. The owner is wonderful, and has a presence in the restaurant.
The service is great, as is the food.
Peter our waiter was wonderful, food exceptional. Wonderful evening.
Great attentive staff, delicious food, small area in general but nice atmosphere very top shelf make reservations early
Had the delmonico rib eye which was cooked to temp and the other course was the crab cake ( fried w filler ) big disappointment. service was a little off when we arrived . Same waiter asked us twice if we wanted drinks. There's better restaurants in rehobeth .
Excellent! Ok, 50 characters in length. Do not need 50 characters. If you want a top level steak house, with liberal beverage options.....and are adventurous......this is your place.
Excellent service and steak! Brian our waiter was very good and recommended a perfect wine to accompany our meal.
Food was amazing and service was wonderful! We really enjoyed our time and our meal!
Houston White never disappoints, and we dine here frequently! The food is always fantastic and it is very popular with our out of town visitors.
It was my birthday celebration the experience from start to finish was excellent. My favorite is the oyster appetizer topped with fresh spinach and bacon junks. The flavors are just incredible. I will dare to say that Houston White hands down has the best steaks in Rehoboth. We have eaten here numerous times and the 8oz filet is just outstanding. Their baked potatoes are also always good. I recommend a side of sour cream. We had the charred Brussels sprouts with maple syrup which were also yummy. Our friends had the New York strip steaks - also done very nicely. If you have not tried this restaurant, I would recommend that you give it a go. It is definitely worth trying! 5* Five Stars!!
Great food! Server was a LITTLE too familiar, but not a huge deal.
The only thing I would recommend is more choices of wines by the glass. Wasn’t fond of the Pinot Grigio.
The steak was done perfectly, (medium) and was flavorful and tender. It really did "melt in your mouth". The baked potato and green beans were also prepared perfectly. The service was attentive but not intrusive. We only had room for the coffee afterwards, -also delicious! So we did not try the dessert options. Maybe next time!
The food was delicious! Great for special occasions!
Our dining experience at Houston White is always unforgettable. It has become our anniversary dinner for the past 2 years with our best friends. Our server was attentive but not a pest. We thank them for our complimentary glass of champagne in honor of our anniversary.
Great food and good service. We will definitely be back again.
Warm Cesar salad is unattractive and way too big
A good finely chopped salad should be offered
The fried tomatoes ere dreadful
The waiters r exceptional as r the rest of the help
wonderful and worth the expense.
We have finally found a true "fine dining" experience in the heart of downtown Rehoboth Beach. Houston White Co. delivers great food in an elegant and relaxed atmosphere. Wine list is good, but may benefit from a few more "value" selections. Will definitely return on our next visit to RB.
The best steakhouse i,ve ever been to.Flemings in Naples Florida was close. The most tender New York Strip I,ve ever had anywhere. The potato and biscuit were just as tasty.Tha ambience was excellent. The staff was jovial and well dressed. And it looked like a steakhouse.Maybe the only meal in 10 years that actually made me smile.I,m a lifetime customer after 1 meal and i come to rehoboth a few times a year. That meal made my vacation.Phil Cotton
It was our second time and I expect there to be a third and fourth and more. Everyone so helpful and friendly and outstanding food
Definitely expensive, but the food and service are worth it. I'd recommend that you skip ordering the additional side (though the cauliflower was great) and get an extra order of the biscuits instead. The Oyster Soup was also very good and a great start to the meal (pairs great with a martini). Great place for a very nice meal.
Waited a long time to be greeted by server, but once that happened service was good. The Mule cocktail was not good and presented in a glass instead of the usual copper cup. The food was great (Prime rib special and Delmonico ribeye were delicious and prepared correctly, seasoned on point). We were disappointed this restaurant nickels and dimes for any additional items (e.g extra biscuits $5.00, side of sour cream for potato $1.00, charges for sauce on top of steak etc). When you pay $40.00 plus for a steak, $12+ for a drink etc, you would expect certain things to accompany your already overpriced meal. This is where the restaurant lost the upscale image and became tacky in my opinion. Left notes on reservation we were celebrating my bday and our wedding anniversary that day, not even acknowledged, obviously no-one reads those. $200.00 for 2 people including tip and left unimpressed. Will not return.
Perfectly prepared steaks.
wine list could use some more mid-price Italian wines
Jack did a great job as our server. The food was amazing. The filet was cooked perfect and the Lobster tail had great flavor. We started with Shrimp Cocktail and the U8 size shrimp were cooked just right. The Drinks were made perfect. Overall, the food is excellent. The tables are packed in pretty close because the building is small. So when you have an overly obnoxious table next to you, it tends to disrupt the experience. The food is worth returning.
Special shout out to hostess Theresa, from Mary and Tom.
The staff was warmly hospitable, responsive, non-intrusive, and professional. Steaks were topnotch as were sides and appetizers, including the burrata and beefsteak tomatoes, shrimp cocktail, creamed spinach, grilled asparagus. Our family of five was accommodated kindly. We will definitely go back.
It is a very quaint restaurant. The steaks were very good. Tender and great cuts.
We will go again when in the area. The staff was attentive.
Brian needs to learn how to talk to patrons without insulting them and his performance as a waiter was poor.
We got there at 4:45 and we’re pleasantly surprised to find they had a $10.95 filet special until 5:00. It was perfectly cooked, medium rare, and delicious but I hardly had room after the unbelievable cheddar biscuits and honey butter! Sides are standard steakhouse sides. The only complaint I had was walking into an empty restaurant with just two of us and two minutes later the host seated a very loud party of five directly next to us. There was plenty of seating and I didn’t think they needed to be seated almost on top of us.
