Had a lunch booking there and when I went there was a note on the door that the place has closed down for good 2 days ago. Nobody bothered to notify us . We got there and the place was dark and we had no reservations anywhere else . Was not a happy moment
I was in with some friends and to start, the service was TERRIBLE. 3 of us ordered steak and each one was made incorrectly. Two of us asked for Hot Water with lemon and had to send them back three times due to either dirty glasses or being given an orange slice instead of lemon. The server was not very attentive, and took very long to service us. The place wasn't busy so, to be helpful shouldn't be an issue.
We will never be returning and would advise anyone that expects great service and good food not to entertain the idea of this place.
My colleague and I had dinner here tonight as we both received a gift card at a company event. The food and service were both quite average. Not bad, but the only thing I found overly memorable or exceptional was the Caesar salad. My filet mignon was cooked to my liking, but I found the quality of meat was not as good as expected for the price. It wasn't as tender as a typical filet (in my experience) but I did enjoy the Jack Daniels Pepper sauce. My colleague had the 16 oz rib steak, which he ordered medium - it came med rare, which I think was a forgivable error ;) Wine list was decent, but no half-liter option available. We 'settled' for a couple of 9 oz glasses. For dessert, we both had the crème brûlée, which was again, pretty average. I'd come back for the Caesar salad.
Our reservations were honoured and we had a great spot by the corner (near the washrooms and indoor entrance) that was private and cozy. We ordered nachos and they were fantastic as it wasn't oily with plenty of toppings and came with salsa and sour cream. Only thing missing was guacamole! The Happy Hour time on OpenTable is incorrect from 4-6pm as it ended at 5:30pm, so that should be updated! The drinks were great and our server came back often to check on us.
Tori was great!
Very loud music, impossible to talk . Steak that was ordered as medium was served rare.
We went for lunch on Friday. I arrived early & Tori seated me. She was very friendly & introduced herself. She mentioned the daily specials We ordered the steak frites and Cobb steak salad with soup. The meals tasted great . Tori was very attentive & offered excellent service. It's a great place for a Friday Lunch.
Food was good, service was ok, but music was way too loud.
We went for lunch. We ordered the Filet Mignon Burger & Steak Cobb salad. The food arrived promptly. It tasted good as well. This is a nice place for lunch. Service by Allie ( sp) was friendly and efficient.
The food is overpriced and 90% of it was horrible. Considering they promote there ribs and steak it should be amazing right? NOPE. The ribs were grainy, bad quality and had an after taste to them. The steak was burnt like all the reviews mentioned, French onion soup was so salty it was not edible. The calamari was soggy and rubbery. The burger was ok but it was 20 dollars and they gave us maybe 10 fries. This is a "Bay Street" eatery but don't waste your money here.
Unfortunately the steaks were overdone and the salmon dish was 15m delayed as it was burned and had to be remade.
The food was tasteful and there was a good portion as well. Although it does not make up for the horrible service we received, I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. It took 30 minutes for someone to give us our bill even after I asked one of the servers to let our server know we wanted the bill because she didn't check on us once after the food was brought out. It was really loud in there too so you can't even have a normal conversation without yelling. I wanted to try this restaurant because I always walk by it and I'm not impressed at all. Besides the food, the service and atmosphere in there was horrible. I definitely would not recommend going to this restaurant or ever go back again myself.
We were a party of 6 including 2 young children. We came for an early dinner at 5:30pm at the Downtown Toronto location. The restaurant was reasonably busy because there was a Hockey game that evening. None-the-less we were seated in a very nice private area. The service was excellent. The food was great. Young ones had a great time. Even though there isn't a kid's menu, the kitchen made whatever they wanted. Great spot for a night out with friends or even before a game.
a lot of people come , good place to have a drink
Not that great -- we went in early because we were going somewhere at 7 pm. Service was slow, food not great,. expensive for what we got. Not even the offer of any bread? I'm not a prude, but the poor waitresses looked extrememly embarrassed in what they were wearing - constantly yanking the front of their dresses up, and their skirts down. Maybe different if they attending to a bar crowd on a Friday night -- but on a Saturday afternoon at 5 -- it was basically all families going to the hockey game...... I felt bad for the waitresses. I wouldn't go here again, and like I said -- we didn't have drinks, bill was still $165.00 -- not great value. Steak was OK, onot great.
