I think it’s fair to say that the hotel is trying its best while under construction and with covid still being an issue.
However they need to be honest on the booking sites to avoid extreme disappointment in menu selections and table seating . We felt baited and switched . Sorry but for the cost it was disappointing .
The views are amazing , and I look forward to the hotel being up and running at 100 % eventually .

Menu was small. Ahi poke like tender and tasty. Best Coconut cake I ever had. Live Hawaiian music was lovely.

It was raining. There is no shelter from the rain and they were handing out umbrellas to hold while you ate. Drinks were frozen but not blended well enough to drink through the cardboard straw. Food was ok but over priced (26 dollars for beef skewers?)
and they wouldn’t seat us for 20 minutes because there was “to much rain” Honestly, this place is kind of a joke.

Booked for a quiet, after dinner drink. Lovely atmosphere and expensive, but good, cocktails. Unexpected live, Hawaiian band that out on a great show. Always recommend an experience at House without a Key.

The food and performance were both outstanding. We had bar seating - so a limited menu. The setting and show were “old school” Hawaiian!. I loved it!!!

Best place to watch the Waikiki sunset with beautiful, old style Hawaiian music. Famous Halekulani Mai Tais as yummy as ever. A little disappointed this time around with the food offerings, mediocre at best - not up to the normal Halekulani standards. But ambiance and service will always keep me coming back.

A classic in Oahu! Must go for a drink and appetizers! Classic Hawaiian treat with a classic Hawaiian band and hula dancer! So perfect for my big birthday celebration!!!!! Ordered pokes and veggie Thai rolls. Drinks were on point! Drizzled a little but the subset made up for it! Breathtaking!

This is an icon place and thus the food should be well above the average.. While good, for the price and place, this was not the quality I have come to expect. I know there kitchen is still be worked on, but they should be either improve the quality of the food or lower their prices until they are back to full speed.

A perfect night is sitting on the Halekulani lanai listening to beautiful voices singing Hawaiian music with a lovely hula dancer. The service was outstanding. Food and drinks were served in a timely manner. It started to rain just a bit, but very quickly the guests were handed umbrellas. The food and drinks are pricey, but we’ll worth the experience.

The food was a disappointment. This was surprising because the previous Sunday the buffet breakfast at Orchids also at the Halekulani hotel was outstanding. The chilean Sea bass was essentially potato salad with bits of sea bass mixed in on a beautiful toasted cracker. The shrimp and lobster gyoza we're nothing special and bit over priced. The hamachi crudo was the best dish. The charcuterie was fine but it could have been enhanced with focaccia or sliced bread rather than crackers. The big draw is of course the sunset views and the live music was delightful. If I did this again I would have a few drinks and eat elsewhere after the sun sets.

A sophisticated yet unpretentious island treat. House Without A Key happy hour is a hidden gem to appreciate Hawaiian music & dance within a truly spectacular setting at Halekulani. The margarita pineapple & frito misto were much enjoyed. Highly recommend advanced reservations.
