House Without a Key
A perennial favorite venue to bring visitors.
Josh and Pamela were so accommodating and kind. I enjoyed this experience immensely and would recommend to anyone traveling to Honolulu. It’s a must do!
Gorgeous hotel, attentive and efficient staff, this will be on our list every time we return
Everyone was super friendly and nice entertainment
favorite restaurant in Waikiki for meal, service, ambiance.
Food, cocktails, servers, entertainment
The ambiance is beautiful, but the food is just okay. I also found the staff to be a little rude. I doubt I would return or recommend to anyone else.
Guy and the staff were awesome! We were treated just like family and enjoy our special celebration for my sons 16th birthday. It’s was very memorable and the staff made it happen. Music was perfect! Even though the weather was iffy we were still welcomed and that was just amazing! Thanks Ted and staff. Looking forward to seeing you guys again! Mahalo
Had an enjoyable evening. Asked in the special notes for a slice of cake for my wife’s 30th and they provided not only that but great seating for the live music.
Dinner was great. The lobster tacos and coconut shrimp were perfect. Darin, our server, said the MaiTais are the best and I'd agree. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset and traditional Island entertainment. It was a little breezy, I'd suggest a sweater.
Amazing as always, service top notch, Cobb salad excellent
Such an amazing spot to watch the sunset! Great little Hawaiian band that wasn’t too loud and added to the ambiance. Great food and service.
Good food, quality service, great band and beautiful location
It was a pleasant experience but took a little longer than we would have liked and there was no entertainment t for a considerable portion of the evening and no dancers :(. However, the food was wonderful as the setting. The waiter was funny and attentive but towards the end it just got a little slow. Would go again though.
We felt the menu was limited, there should be more dinner options.
House without a Key provides a location on the water so you can catch the sunset while listening to Hawaiian musicians and watching a lovely hula dancer. The food was excellent, fresh and delicious. Had a special birthday dinner with the family there. One caveat, outdoor tables are only for cocktails and appetizers. Dinners are served under covering so you may not hear or see the entertainment well.
Live hula group was outstanding
It’s lovely when the band is playing but they also need some back ground music in between band sessions. Food was delicious but presentation was very less than impressive.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Waikiki. The ambiance cannot be beat. Almost magical. The food is very good, perhaps not stellar, but I go for the experience. They have live music and a hula dancer (at least when I've dined there) that adds to the experience. The food and beverage prices are a bit high, but you can't put a price on the location. If you can arrange to go during a sunset, that would be ideal. We were unable, but it was still lovely. I would not recommend bringing small kids - a very nice, adult restaurant, but if you are able to visit this restaurant, I highly recommend it.
This restaurant has an outdoor seating area that faces the ocean. The food was great, but limited menu, amazing ambience and fastastic service!
Beautiful location, watching the sunset, drinking Maitais, listening to Hawaiian music, great food.
Excellent evening out. Great food and service and an amazing location. Highly recommend everyone try this restaurant.
Good food and ambience. Waiter was nice but not very friendly.
Was recommended to have dinner here for my 40th birthday with my family. The cocktail was perfect, the coconut prawns were amazing. But that’s where it stopped. 2 orders of the calamari were underwhelming - whole octopus with the heads attached. 3 of us ordered the Lau Lau - which was supposed to contain chicken & kalua pork. What was on the plate was what tasted like tuna, wrapped in mushy taro leaves. Was not what was expected and a big let down. Our 4th person had spaghetti bolognaise - No complaints. I must thank them for the piece of birthday coconut cake they bought out, when I said I wasn’t having dessert. But at a cost of $220 (US), it was so disappointing. Went to PF Chang the next night and wish I had spent my birthday dinner there.
Good experience, nice vibe, reasonable prices. We plan on a return visit when back in town.
First class food and service. You will not be disappointed
We always enjoy dining at house without a key or orchids at the Halekulani. We find the entrees to be delicious and always order the scrumptious coconut cake.
Beautiful surrounding.Great band.Nice staffs.Good food.
They reduced portion size of food. Very noticeable since last year
