House Without a Key
I wouldn't make any recomandation.
The cocktails were very artificial, low value!
The food (fish) was not so fresh...
The service could be improved.
Poor selection of nice liquor and bottles. If you drink here seems you have to commit to their menu drinks. To me, an all around great restaurant also has a great bartender and bar selection (this spot doesn’t).
The food really was great though. The live music kept the ambience lively. Great place to enjoy the sunset.
Great final Night in Waikiki our Service was Great!!! Highly recommend
The setting and service are always awesome. The mai tais and food is consistently delicious. It’s a bit overpriced but worth it for the experience.
A real disapointment. We made a reservation for 5:15, planning to enjoy the entertaunment, have a few drinks and apoetuzers appetizers. Perhaos also dinner. On Open Table you coyld select Bar or Standard seating. I chose standard seating. Wgen we arrived the hostess told us that we should have selected bar if we wanted to sit oudoors for the Hawaiian musuc and Hula performance. So we said all right.
The waiter did come and take our drink orders fairly quickly. However he never came back to allow us to order another drink or appetizers. We were hungry aftef an hour or so, so I went back and asked the hostess if we could be seated in the table area for dinner. I was told No, they were sild out, even though we could see open tables.
So my opinion is, they lost an opportunity to make much more money from our small grouo, and pretty much lost any interest I might have in ever returning.
A perennial favorite venue to bring visitors.
Food, waitress, and ambience were superb aside from the rain and cooler temps. Again, the waitress was extremely kind. She was attentive and not pushy at all. Great place for Valentine’s Day.
Josh and Pamela were so accommodating and kind. I enjoyed this experience immensely and would recommend to anyone traveling to Honolulu. It’s a must do!
We spent valentines night dinner at House without a Key. It was a beautiful setting and the food was delicious. We also had a traditional Hawaiian musical group and a former miss Hawaii/Miss universe did the hula. It was a perfect Valentines night
Scenic views of Waikiki Beach ...garden salad with poke was delicious as so was the pineapple cheesecake and coconut cake.
Gorgeous hotel, attentive and efficient staff, this will be on our list every time we return
Everyone was super friendly and nice entertainment
favorite restaurant in Waikiki for meal, service, ambiance.
Food, cocktails, servers, entertainment
The ambiance is beautiful, but the food is just okay. I also found the staff to be a little rude. I doubt I would return or recommend to anyone else.
Guy and the staff were awesome! We were treated just like family and enjoy our special celebration for my sons 16th birthday. It’s was very memorable and the staff made it happen. Music was perfect! Even though the weather was iffy we were still welcomed and that was just amazing! Thanks Ted and staff. Looking forward to seeing you guys again! Mahalo
Had an enjoyable evening. Asked in the special notes for a slice of cake for my wife’s 30th and they provided not only that but great seating for the live music.
Dinner was great. The lobster tacos and coconut shrimp were perfect. Darin, our server, said the MaiTais are the best and I'd agree. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset and traditional Island entertainment. It was a little breezy, I'd suggest a sweater.
Amazing as always, service top notch, Cobb salad excellent
Such an amazing spot to watch the sunset! Great little Hawaiian band that wasn’t too loud and added to the ambiance. Great food and service.
Good food, quality service, great band and beautiful location
It was a pleasant experience but took a little longer than we would have liked and there was no entertainment t for a considerable portion of the evening and no dancers :(. However, the food was wonderful as the setting. The waiter was funny and attentive but towards the end it just got a little slow. Would go again though.
We felt the menu was limited, there should be more dinner options.
House without a Key provides a location on the water so you can catch the sunset while listening to Hawaiian musicians and watching a lovely hula dancer. The food was excellent, fresh and delicious. Had a special birthday dinner with the family there. One caveat, outdoor tables are only for cocktails and appetizers. Dinners are served under covering so you may not hear or see the entertainment well.
Live hula group was outstanding
It’s lovely when the band is playing but they also need some back ground music in between band sessions. Food was delicious but presentation was very less than impressive.
