Friends of ours who live in Phoenix and have a son at ASU, took us to House of Tricks, calling it their favorite! We had a fantastic meal, wonderful service and enjoyed outdoor dining in a fun atmosphere. We'll be back very soon!

House of Tricks is on our list of favorite dining experiences when we visit the Phoenix area. We brought newcomers this visit and it did not disappoint. The food and selection were excellent as was the service. The grounds are very relaxing. We could have stayed all day and just enjoyed the setting and conversation and the staff made us feel very welcome. Our friends added it to their list of favorite spots for future visits.

House of Tricks is one of our favorite spots and an unexpected gem in the Tempe area. We were hoping for a nice romantic (not secluded) meal and this is exactly what we got. The staff was extremely accommodating in moving us to the bar area without making us feel like this was an inconvenience. Martini's were top notch as was the meal. Thank you, HOT, for not disappointing, as is often the case at other establishments on a busy Valentines Day!

From the hostess to the server to the food, it was all amazing on Valentine's Dinner for a group of 4 of his. Everything was exceptional. Bone Marrow, Scallops, Butterfish, and Prime Rib were cooked to perfection!! We loved this little hidden gem and will definitely be returning.

Awesome 1920s bungalo with great outdoor patio. We got lunch for Valentine's day and though its in the heart of downtown tempe the outdoor dining area still feels secluded and private. A little pricey for dinner, but very reasonable lunch prices and great food. Highly recommended.

We have eaten at House of Tricks many times over the years - often on special occasions such as anniversaries, Valentine's Day, and taking out of town guests to a lovely outdoor setting in beautiful weather (often they come from less friendly winter climates). The food is seasonal, fresh and tasty. The garden has lights in the trees for evening and plenty of shade for daytime. The indoor seating is a bit tight. To add to the ambiance, there is a house cat that makes the garden home. The cat is never intrusive but it is casually friendly and is nice to see basking in the sun or wandering through the garden.

The outdoor dining was truly amazing....my wife and I had a wonderful time, our server was friendly, and the food was delicious.
