I really loved this place. Really fresh and delicious food. Professional and elegant service in a timely fashion. And impeccable clean with a soft ambience.
As always great food and great service, maybe even better than before the pandemic! Love this place
A true neighborhood gem! (I.e., if you're looking to lunch or dine in Murray Hill—or simply looking for a good meal that's not too pricey and close to Grand Central, House of Lasagna is the ticket!
House of Lasagna was AMAZING! The food was GREAT and the service was even better!
We had a Caesar Salad, Burrata, two pieces of Lasagna, three glasses of wine, cheesecake and two coffees for 99 dollars. Value alone this place was great, but the food itself was also very good. Staff was friendly and kind, without being overbearing. The restaurant was quiet but in a good way where i didn't feel like i had to shout over anyone to talk to my girlfriend.
Would recommend and come back in the future
Great food and service, will go back
Very good neighborhood "joint," with excellent pasta and attentive service.
The food was very good. I would recommend ordering wine instead of a cocktail.
When my wife and I decided that we wanted lasagna for dinner, I started looking at Italian restaurants that were close to our hotel in Murray Hill, Manhattan. Some didn't have lasagna, and most had one lasagna dish. However, House of Lasagna specializes in lasagna, and they have several different lasagna recipes for you to choose from. The food was excellent, and for Manhattan, the price was excellent as well. We will keep this restaurant in mind if we are back in the area.
The food was delicious. The staff superb. Looking forward to our next visit.
Great for a small friends or family gathering . Good food, inexpensive. Liked the carafes of wine. Able to all drink without breaking the bank!! Great cozy spot
Nice, quiet little place. Good food and service. We were able to be have quiet conversation and enjoyed the food.
It was okay.
Lasagna heaven. No frills. Just meaty layers and al dente pasta.
Excellent service, good food and cozy ambience. Ravioli with meat sauce and lasagne was excellent.
Always a wonderful meal. Fresh pasta & great service, bread! My daughter & one of my favorite restaurants in New York.
Good spot for easy italian if you are in the neighborhood. Friendly service and good food in a nice atmosphere. Prices were reasonable -
We fell upon this place and absolutely LOVED it! Would recommend!!
Perfectly fine Italian food, nice menu (beyond the lasagnas), lovely and unhurried service, and remarkably quiet for New York. Remarkably good for the prices, too. A keeper if you’re in this neighborhood!
the ambiance was a bit of a disappointment, but it was comfortable and friendly.the lasagna special included a salad and glass of wine so it was a good value, but the lasagna was nothing special and needed something.
Great food, great value, quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Took 2 teenagers there after a day of sightseeing and it was the perfect choice.
Un lugar encantador. Excelente servicio y cordial atención. Muy recomendable
Best italian I have had in probably my entire life. We had a party of 8, and a baby, and they were very accomodating and helpful. The waitstaff was so friendly, and the food was amazing. Order the fresh cut pasta, you won't regret it. I had the vodka sauce, husband had mushroom sauce, both were "lick the plate" good. Because I have kids, I also got to try the chicken parmesan and the spaghetti and meatballs, and they were fabulous as well. Others had the lasagna, and were also raving about it. And definitely save room for the tiramisu, it was perfect. I normally like to try new restaurants when we visit the city, but I will make an exception and go back here on our next visit!
Nice overall experience
I first tried the House of Lasagna because its name was so appealing! I am pleased to say that their food is equally as appealing. The food is consistently good and I am a fan of their Bolognese sauce in particular. They have great prix-fixe options and I do love that orders come with a salad.
This isn't a "fine dining" experience, but it's very good. The service is quick and attentive and it's nice to have a quick, cloth table-cloth restaurant nearby the office when you need an affordable, but classy escape from the routine.
Excellent unobtrusive service.
Very good food and nice variety of choices.
Seasonal options change regularly.
A couple of my friends told me to check this place out. My wife and I went for lunch a couple of days ago. I had the bolognese lasagna, and the pasta was incredible. I was struck by how the pasta melted in my mouth, which made the dish lighter than the lasagna pastas I'm used to eating. The meaty sauce was equally pleasing. I didn't think I would finish the lasagna when I first saw the portion they serve, but I couldn't stop eating it. My wife enjoyed her dish as well, and we split a cheesecake which was a delicious end to a great meal. We will definitely be recommending this place to our friends and family as well! The service was outstanding too. Nothing negative to say here!
Usually this place is lovely. Diners clearly enjoy being here and enjoy being able to speak in a normal tone, rather than having to should to be heard over the noise. MY last visit was marred by a table to three men who were enjoying the bottles of wine as much as the food and whose voices kept getting louder and louder. My friend and I finally had to give up t trying to talk because these guys were making so much noise. This ;lovely place is too small for this level of disruption.
Everything was delicious! It's usually really quiet and comfortable. Perfect place for a low key dinner near grand central.
The food was not great, too heavy
Amazing food. Very unique flavor to the lasagna. Thought the wait staff could have a bit of a strange attitude at times, it is worth it for the quality of the food. The only complaint I have is there are no refills on soda.
Flavor was good but noodles so over cooked they were mushy.
The food was delicious in a cute setting. Staff was friendly and attentive.
Great food, great service. Will come again! Lasagnas are so good!
Great service, average food . For a restaurant called “ house of lasagna “ I expected it to have been “heaven on a plate “, instead stodge on a plate , too much pasta 😬not enough of their talked about sauce !!
Far too salty needing water all night , not good !
The lasagna was absolutely delicious, some of the best I've ever had
Our third time here! A great place to bring out of town guests. Food is always wonderful
Great service. Flavor of the food was a bit bland...
Despite my note in the reservation, and my verbally telling the server, my night ended in the emergency room. Apparently the staff here are not trained in handling server allergies or reporting such concerns to the kitchen. I am so disappointed, I can't even put it into words.
