Taylor provided our party with with witty conversation and excellent service. The ambience of House of Cards interior was exceptional. The outdoor patio was disappointing compared to the interior. I would recommend some improvements outdoors to flow with the theme indoors.
The performances were fantastic, and the performers were a lot of fun. I would definitely return.
I had a great time celebrating my 35th birthday with friends. The food was great! The main magic show was awesome as were the small tables in the dining area. It was such a fun night! We will definitely be back.
Very good meal, classy restaurant, entertaining show. A good find in Nashville.
This was honestly one of the best date nights I’ve ever had. The atmosphere was incredible and absolutely beautiful. The outside patio was nice and just far enough from Broadway where you hardly hear a sound. The bartender was extremely nice and excellent with each individual drink he made for us. I loved the decor throughout the whole restaurant. The piano in the back was beautiful as well. The magic show was honestly my favorite part along with the cheesecake for dessert. The up close magic was awesome as well. Everything about this place was just amazing.
From arriving at the entrance to leaving. It was fantastic, warm greetings at the elevator, again when the elevator arrived downstairs. We were greeted by a hostess who directed us to the maitre d. He took us behind the velvet curtain and we entered a most spectacular dining room and bar. Everything was so great. Amy our waitress was up to date on everything that was in store for our evening. She was so good. Please give her a "atta girl" for me. Enjoyed the magic show after our great dinner. I would recommend this place to anyone.
Our server was great. The magicians were fantastic and the atmosphere was unique and enjoyable.
The hostess was incredibly rude, unhelpful, uncaring and arrogant. The food was fine. Not good, fine. It was brunch and many of the serving dishes were empty.
The Sunday brunch was really good with a variety of foods just as listed on the website. It was warm and fresh and they continued to bring more. The chicken tenders and Mac/cheese was my favorites along with the waffle bar with Nutella and chocolate chips. Our server was good and very nice. After brunch, we visited Thurston the magic piano and requested songs. Then, behind the piano is a hallway that leads to a beautiful cigar Terrance with a waterfall and nice seating. No one was smoking. It is outside so it was hot but worth a visit. Then, the 2 card trick table guys were very good and one was especially funny. Try to sit near the table and you will be more than likely involved in a trick which is super fun and memorable. We took my daughter and 3 friends for her 16th birthday and they all felt so fancy and loved it all. The card table guy got each one of them involved which was lots of laughs! The 30 minute magic show was funny and good. Don’t forget to get your picture taken by the photographer! It is complimentary which they don’t really advertise. He had the 8x10 in a folio printed out for us within 10 minutes or less. Such a nice touch since no photography is allowed inside. $40 plus tax plus gratuity seems like a lot for brunch, but when you consider all the entertainment, it is worth it especially for a special occasion. All ages are welcome on Sunday brunch. Don’t forget to review the dress code for Sunday brunch. Allow about 3 hours total. Our reservation was at 1:00 and our show time was at 3:00. This gives you time to enjoy everything without feeling rushed. It was the perfect timing. There is valet parking across from the Johnny Cash museum with a House of Cards folding sign, but it is very busy so be patient. Also, when you arrive at the Johnny Cash museum, walk through near the elevators in the back and there will be a doorman allowing you entrance down the stairs which leads to the lovely hostess. Such a fun secret mafia feeling!
We had a wonderful time at the HOC Sunday brunch. Our children (ages 13 and 10) really enjoyed the table-side magic and everyone had a good time during the theater magic show. I would definitely recommend it!
I made reservations for 4 . Sunday Brunch , Special Occasion. it was my wife's birthday. I wanted something special for her day . The Valet was excellent, the ambiance was excellent, the food was excellent ( except for the long wait for the eggs benedict. When the waiter came , I reminded him of my wife's birthday . That was the last time her birthday was mentioned . The shows were excellent . Our foursome did enjoy our time there and I would've given a 5 star rating if my wife's birthday would've mattered !
Awesome experience!! The magicians were fantastic, atmosphere was perfect and service was excellent!
The ambiance and magic were amazing! Loved bar and drink choices. Food was fine. Waiter was great but felt like he was very busy with other tables.
The food was great, the service was great, and magic was the icing on the cake. We came to celebrate my wife’s birthday and our whole party said it was one of best nights we have ever had. I highly recommend House of Cards.
A one-of-a-kind experience. Delicious food combined with magic.
Different and very cool! Went for our anniversary. Loved that they had valet parking! The Magic was legit!
The overall experience was good. The ambience and show were exceptional. However, the food and service need to be improved. We asked our waiter about getting our complimentary picture taken, and he said they’d come to our table. That never happened. We had to track the photographer down ourselves. Furthermore, the magic side shows were impossible to see. It was overcrowded. Our waiter was good, but the food was subpar for the price. I would like to see HofC improve, but I would go back or recommend.
We had a party of 6 friends. We had so much fun, and the show was awesome!
Unreal experience! A must visit when in Nashville.
Great evening of entertainment! Please mind the dress code, as I admit I missed that and was not prepared! But they were accommodating and it was an amazing entertaining evening with friendly attentive service! Can’t wait for next visit better prepared for the evening!
An amazing night out, so much fun and worth every dollar!
Great experience and food. Would definitely come again and tell friends!
BEST STEAK OF MY LIFE!!
We had the Kobe steak...melts in your mouth and worth every penny paid. Perfectly seasoned and cooked. The cuisine here is top-notch in every aspect. Not ‘just’ a magic venue, this is a world-class dining experience. Cocktails are well curated and the magic is very well presented. Definitely a place to impress business clients.
Very unique experience! So fun and great food.
The food is nothing to write home about and the drinks are extremely overpriced, but the ambiance and magic shows make up for it! Really cool experience.
We loved our meal! Service was great! The magicians were amazing! We went for our anniversary and they made us feel special. I will definitely recommend to friends and family.
Totally Awesome experience!
The entire experience was wonderful! The food was excellent , attention from the staff amazing, slight of hand performers so entertaining & the mentalist show was fantastic! The evening exceeded expectations , was well worth the price & we highly recommend House of Cards!
Celebration of son’s accomplishment
Very glad to have made the reservation. Was everything we expected and much much more !! The food was incredible ( our party of four had the filets ). Service was exceptional. Drinks were top shelf. Magic was amazing....up close and non-stop with numerous magicians performing. Will want to revisit on our next trip to Nashville.
More important than the food, magic and ambience… Was the magic In the warmth of the people we interacted with. Thanks for a lovely evening.
My friend and I celebrated her birthday and she said it was the best birthday ever. Food was delicious. The staff was very professional and attentive. The magic shows were amazing and entertaining. It was great experience and fun night. I will definitely return.
Thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. Slight of hand magic was very entertaining.
My wife and I enjoyed a night out, food was great service atmosphere and all the above was a great night
This was an outstanding way to spend our 25th wedding anniversary. The food was superb but the magic shows after dinner made the night really special. We’ve eaten at several of the other upscale dining establishments in Nashville and elsewhere and this has to be
the most unique experience we have had.
At the end of the night, my wife told me this blew her away and she has now changed her mind on where her favorite place to dine is for a special occasion. We will definitely be back!
This is my fourth experience at HOC and I must say, not much has changed: Great ambiance, fun entertainment, good service, abysmal food. This time it was brunch, as opposed to dinner, so at least the wallet wasn’t impacted like it has been in the past.
The buffet, all pedestrian offerings, was. It turned over quickly and looked ransacked. The shrimp was literally water-logged and nearly inedible, as if it was frozen, thawed in a water bath, and then put out for patrons. This was only one example. The waffle bar was soggy, flaccid waffles with a selection of toppings that were empty, mixed with each other, and a big disappointment for the kids in our party. The chicken fingers were no better than anything you’d find at a fast casual joint. I could go on...
Some suggestions for the restaurant/kitchen: Rotate in new serving utensils often. The caked with food utensils are unappetizing. This is a simple fix. Refresh the food more often—I mentioned the waffle bar above, but this goes for all dishes; Smaller chafing dishes means fresher food.
This place can be the coolest place in Nashville, but the food is keeping it from being so. I think it’s time to turn over the kitchen manager and retrain the staff. Upper management should consider re-tooling the menu too. The recipes are okay, but the execution seems off.
For now, I’ll go and grab drinks at the bar and take in the magic, instead of spending big money for overpriced poorly-executed banquet food. And if you’re reading this, you should too.
The overall experience was awesome! We went to brunch and the food was a little over average, but very tasty :) The shows were so fun to watch and everyone was super kind that worked there. I'd recommend going as a special occasion, definitely fun to try once!
Great French Toast and Prime Rib!! Thanks for the excellent service!!!
Dinning and entertainment was excellent. Brunch was good how I think next time will go in the evening where there are no children. Dress code was not enforced was the only other thing I noticed.
It is located inside the Johnny Cash museum. It was definitely an one of a kind experience. We will be back. So much fun!
Staff was great, magicians are awesome. A must go to restaurant in Nashville. Very unique experience.
