It’s a fun unique experience just be ready to drop some coin!
Jaime was an excellent server and David Abbott was a great performer. Had a blast.
Fantastic meal, atmosphere, service and entertainment
I had a blast 💥 and thoroughly enjoyed myself. The House of Cards magicians were hilarious and the food (I ordered Elk) and drinks were — when you factored in the magicians—was actually quite reasonable. Unique experience and we will return!
Everything was amazing! Excellent service, amazing food and a great magic show. Highly recommend for a good night out!
We went for Sunday brunch...something new for House of Cards. Food was very good and arrived very quickly. Service was excellent in both the usual dining service manner and the unexpected...as one would expect at HOC. We were seated near the piano played by Thurston the ghost. He has a fellow ghost who also plays the piano at The Magic Castle in Hollywood. I'd forgotten her name, but our waiter queried other members of the HOC staff until he got her name, and then we played 20 questions until "Erma" was revealed.
The magicians were great as always, and even oriented parts of their acts to entertain the kids who had come with families...something unusual for HOC. That said, all the kids were good and many made great straight men for the magicians. The close up magic at restaurant tables was confounding...as usual, and the theatre show with Dr. Gary Flegal was great.
Oh, it really is magic to step in out of the tourist hubbub of Nashville Broadway, walk down the secret staircase and into the quiet elegance of HOC. Will be going back
EXCELLENT! Will definitely be back.
Food, waiter, and Magic show was good; however, we were lied to about being able to see the side acts.
Loved the aesthetic of this restaurant,
But personally felt that pricing did not reflect quality of the food. Service was alright but we definitely felt rushed to attend the magic show so much so that we ended up not ordering dessert and talked about how we wanted it so badly on the way home.
Lastly, our server was visibly upset when I decided to not order a bottle of wine and I would partake in a couple of glasses instead. The pressure to upsell guests must reflect this behavior in servers.
An amazing place to have dinner in Nashville. It is an experience like no other.
It was a great evening and the venue is incredible!
Amazing beyond measure!!
The service was great, the food was outstanding and the magicians were incredible.
An unbelievable experience. The food is excellent and the staff is amazing. They go above and beyond not just with the service but also in keeping with the theme of the venue. Highly recommend and will definitely go again next time we’re in Nashville.
Ambience was excellent. Food and drinks for the price just did not meet the previous reviews provided on the website. Magic show was short and just ok.
1 of kind experience. Must stop for anyone visiting the area!
Beautiful place, amazing magic, and great food. The GM was very hospitable and gave us a tour himself. 10/10 would recommend
Amazing experience! Would absolutely go again. Service was excellent and environment was unlike anything I've ever experienced.
My experience at House of Cards was the most fun I have had in a long time. I really didn't know what to expect. My husband is a real foodie who can be hard to please at a restaurant. He started with the octopus appetizer and said it was the best octopus he'd ever had. I couldn't believe it! Then my dad got the lamb chops and HE said they were the best he'd ever had! The food was great, the service impeccable, and the atmosphere elegant. Yes, it's expensive. But when you understand that the evening is your food AND your entertainment, it becomes a better value. I don't know that I have ever been to a place with such a sophisticated vibe, and an enforced dress code. I thought it might be stuffy. It was not. It was just really, really nice. And the magic was a HOOT! The participatory magic at the stations was a blast. It was close up fun. And the magic show in the theater was really good too. It was all half comedy/half magic. Lots of laughter and lots of people thoroughly enjoying themselves. I absolutely LOVED it!
Felt like disney world in the best way possible
This was an experience that was enjoyed by the entire family, which included a 5 yr old, his parents & grandparents. I highly recommend this restaurant! It’s so much more than a restaurant with professional magicians doing their tricks in a couple different areas. The decor is opulent. Service was outstanding! Noise level low. Definitely a must-experIence venue!
Outstanding all the way around! ❤️
We went to HOC with friends coming into town and it was amazing!! The wagyu was 10/10 and the Mac n cheese was like no other. Attire is fancy so make sure to check before going and the magic will blow your mind!!! On our way home, we all could not stop talking about everything that happened. The magicians were highly rated globally and we were so impressed.
All staff were friendly, helpful, and personable. It’s a pricier dinner but well worth the entertainment and service. It’s “underneath” the Johnny Cash museum, there is usually an attendant standing outside the museum door to check IDs and walk you down. Go to this restaurant!! It is so fun, even for a 9:00 pm reservation!
We’ll definitely be going again with family members!
Always a most entertaining experience. Unique for Nashville
Absolutely amazing. The most unique dining experience I’ve ever had.
It was very nice. I really enjoyed it. Food was good and the show was good. I would recommend.
The food is so well prepared, even dishes you think you would never eat are delicious! My brother was really freaked out looking at "Octopus" as an appetizer, but confessed it did taste good. Presentation and taste do not disappoint.
Beautiful dining area with excellent service. The magic was phenomenal! A romantic and entertaining night out.
The best night out. Great food, entertainment and service.
Food was excellent and our waiter was the best. We sat next to thurston the piano player and loved it! Great time!
The food was not worth the amount we paid. My filet migon if you can call it that looked like Salisbury. There was way too much pepper. The potatoes tasted instant. Not a great way to have an anniversary dinner.
So much fun, loved this experience. Great ambiance, food and service.
With a great staff, incredible setting and top-rate food, it’s easy to give this place 5 stars without the magic. Add in the professional magicians and you have a perfect spot for that special occasion.
Great experience, the food was absolutely amazing and the magic was super entertaining.
Food was fantastic.
Sooner our server was exceptional.
Happy birthday Sooner.
We went here for our anniversary and will be coming back again!
After seeing House of Cards on the Open Table app I was very intrigued. The dark and mysterious decode paired with the swanky dress code immediately drew me in. I knew exactly what dress I wanted to wear and getting ready for my evening out was only the beginning of the production to come. Parking was not hard to find although one can expect to meet heavy traffic along Broadway. Upon entering the museum I was greeted by name, asked for my ID, and led to the staircase. Here pictures are permitted, but no photos are allowed inside. I reserved a bar seat for the evening, and my bartender was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful guiding myself and others throughout their experience. I was also given a tour by a gentleman who greeted me at the door which included showing me one of the oldest playing cards in history and a pair of Houdini’s handcuffs. My meal was satisfying, I started with the scallops which were a little undercooked for my taste, but my entree of the lamb rack was tender and satisfying. I enjoyed the Treana Cabernet throughout the evening which heightened my entertainment of whimsical magic. I think going into too much detail about what to expect during the course of the evening would take away from House of Cards’ mysterious appeal. I suggest diners wear their swankiest attire, be open minded, and enjoy an evening of mystery and magic.
This was a new and great first time experience! Everyone was very friendly and super nice the food was very good and the magic was unbelievable.
