House of Blues Restaurant & Bar - Orlando Ratings and Reviews
I've never had a bad experience at H.O.B. but this time around some of the food had a few issues. The service was okay I guess and the food came out really quickly after we ordered but the shrimp taco shells were horrifically stale and really chewy and just not the same as I had the last time I was there when they were perfect and fresh. A guest at our table got a pulled pork sandwich that arrived with no bbq sauce on the meat or on the side which we thought was odd. The server did not come back around early enough for them to even bother asking for the sauce so they just ate it dry. Other than that everything else was okay. We had seven people at the table and the rest of the appetizers and the food that we ordered was really good and there were no other complaints.
This is the second time my husband and I have come to House of Blues for a dinner “date” night. It was an excellent experience this time around as well. We had reservations for dinner and tickets to a show afterward in their concert venue. The food was excellent and just the right amount. The service was quick. It can be somewhat loud in the restaurant - but we didn’t mind and could still talk to each other easily.
Our visit to House of Blues Restaurant was to celebrate my husbands 70th birthday and our 44th anniversary. We had cocktails and the smokehouse pulled pork. That has become my favorite meal there. The drinks were good (happy hour) and the food was hot and very tasty. The service was quick and good. Always recommend HOB and will continue to go when ever we’re in Orlando
I have eaten at House of Blues for many years and the food has continued to go down hill. The menu is okay but the food is so mass produced that the quality is bad. The chicken coating was dried out and too hard. The P.O. boy shrimp was dry and the bread was dried out. The food I have eaten at the old Los Angeles location and Anaheim was not this bad. I think this is a sign that HOB has lost its quality and uniqueness.
Granted it is a chain, so expectations we’re not high. However, this chain hangs its hat on both music and its smokehouse bbq. The failed in the latter.
The brisket was tough and dry. Clear indication of incorrect use of heat and time. Our table also ordered pulled pork platter as well as a pulled pork sandwich. Seemingly same meat from the same tray. Not quite. Platter was grey and juicy, sandwich was burnt and dark. Never would have noticed had our table not ordered both. Seems to be a consistency of quality concern among the smokehouse kitchen staff.
With all the food options in Disney Springs, save house of blues for the music. Pass on the food.
We came to House of Blues for a concert and did dinner beforehand. Our waiter Calvin was amazing, it was my son's birthday, he exceeded our expectations with fabulous service and a surprise birthday dessert. All the staff at the concert were professional and polite.
Great dinner before a concert at House of Blues. Food is very large portions - tasty and a little spicy. Service was great. The decor is interesting and entertaining. Go early if you want to do the Pass the Line for your concert. You have to finish eating before you can get in line.
We were thrilled that we were able to change our reservation, which was not an option earlier in the week, so we could eat earlier because we had tickets to a 7pm show. The staff was very accommodating and we had a nice meal before getting in the early entry to get a great spot in the venue. Food was good and our waitress was great!
Went here while staying at Disney. The food was pretty good. We had the pulled pork sandwich and the shrimp Po' boy. Both came hot and the sides were good. Our waitress, Maggie, was really good. It's not a white table cloth place, but it's fun for a casual dinner. There's also music, but not too loud for conversation.
Food was outstanding. Everyone in our dining party got something different to eat. The brisket was moist...best I ever had. Our waiter, Aaron, was knowledgeable about the menu and gave everyone great recommendations for dinner. He was attentive without being too pushy. Noise level was a little high but it was a Saturday night with lots going on in the area. All of the food arrived hot and exceeded everyone's expectations.
The food was very good, Great atmosphere. We had concert tickets and ate at House of Blues to pass the line so we would have a chance to get a seat for the concert. Nothing against the handicap concert goers but after 40 or so of them going in first, 3 to 4 guest per handicap person. They took up every decent seat in the place.
I love the ambience of this place, a very pleasant place to eat or just drink - inside and out. There is an expanse of seating out front and there is a well stocked bar on the porch.
Obviously, blues is playing through the sound system which goes very well with the decor. Service was fast and friendly and the food was delicious. The jambalaya with Cajun shrimp I had was delicious and just spicy enough. I didn't have to add any of the hot sauces that were on the table. My nephew said his steak salad was very tasty, but he is not a fan of brussels sprouts that came on the side. I ate one of them and it could have been cooked a tiny bit longer, but it was delicious. I would have finished them but i was full from my own dinner.
I hadn't been here in years and I hope I don't have to wait that long to return. This is one of my favorite restaurants.
Great service from door to table. Food just blah. Ribs very tough, sent back, and new order was just as inedible - just warmer. Wings were good and kids liked the mac and cheese. Brisket very spicy on one plate, and flavorless on another - without us adding any sauce to either.
Maybe just an off night, but it would be tough to convice the wife to head here again for food.
The restaurant is good but not special. The service was very friendly. But the reason to go to the House of Blues - Orlando is basically the live music and shows. On the night we went there we saw a show from Selwyn Birchwood that was really good! The guy is a great guitar player and his band is awesome. We really enjoyed the show!
We ate at House of Blues before my son's Disney Marathon. We like to eat here when we're in Orlando. The food is very good and reasonably priced. There's plenty of variety in the menu.
The service is excellent, and the location in Disney Springs gives the opportunity to wander and shop before or after eating.
